So we get distracted as to when a cell is a person. We get hypnotized into thinking someone on welfare is on easy street. Cuz god knows that is the evil in the room.

There is little civility or tolerance for informed debate in this country.

But as far as trump goes... well the fact that we are even discussing him as a possibility should make us all cry.

LMH is like a Computer intelligence. She has massive photographic memory answering callers on the fly with intricate detail. including cases years old, with no mistakes. she can talk for hours without hesitation or speech/grammatical errors. Fascinating. Last night she was way way out there. Sometime she leaves me cold and can be quite dry but last Night… I guess I would say it's my favorite Heather  Wade show so far.
  The fun thing about Linda is that even though she seems to believe every single fevered delusional dream that her interviewees tell her we can still pretend that they might be true and think about it from that perspective. Does take a tremendous amount of suspension of disbelief. You find yourself thinking most of the time how can Linda believe this stuff?

You do take what you can get, as long as it's reasonably listenable, and I have been looking for alternatives. Once in a while, I'll land on C2C with one host or another doing the show. I gave noory's program a very fair objective chance and he had me hating it within a week. Have you tried "the Paracast"? with Jean Steinberg and Chris O'Brien. Commercials are marathon frequent and  four:31 minutes long  (Which can be fast forwarded through). The program is usually over two hours long and every now and then they have a decent guest. It's an alternative and I would say better then George Nori.

it's a fair point but I think it very much depends on how one defines the word "contribute". Yes, whyP is often tongue in cheek and satirical but I find him highly amusing,  entertaining and tremendously insightful. and, I would add, Ginuwine and honest in his opinions. of course that doesn't mean that you and I will agree with him on every issue but he's comfortable with that.

One by one your favorite posters disappear and you end up leaving as well.

Is that what you would like to have happen here? Who wants to volunteer to be a mod? Who gets to decide what's acceptable and what is not?

I appreciate what MV has created and hope he keeps it as is.

  There is an ongoing drive-by mugging of the board but it is allowed to continue because, as MB openly admits, Any interference or censorship would reduce profit. Also, to some extent, reduce, MV speculates, Long term board viability by stifling free idea exchange.
  It's a textbook example of capitalism versus ethics. I.e., personal gain being the strongest insurance of a successful enterprise. it is what brought the Usa to the top of the Global foodchain.
  It could happen however that the long term core base become so alienated that they leave thereby also reducing the overall page views.
  To confuse things even further I noticed recently that art was conflating his loyal long-term fans here with the recent influx of marauding mutant hormonal teenage Nori devotees.

Jaz, when the program starts and I hear the intro by art I do get a bit choked up. And I think to myself wow, jaz must really love this intro. After all, it's by a man he's been dare I say devoted to for decades. In a way, it's like a bit of a dream come true I bet. :-) admiring
