Reformed Hoaglism does have the relic of the true Holy Hair!!

In orthodox Hoagslam sir, we do not venerate objects other than the accutron. Nor do we accept the authority of "Pope" Whitley.

What......seriously?

Yeah, Hoagslam and the Dark Matter Radio Network Cult. Sadly the Hoaglims are divided and have broken into many different sects over differences in aftershave choice.

Yeah and going to open lines and let people ask questions about it etc.

I like it, extension interviews with the best guests. Might want to check the Art Bell thread, we formed up a Hoagland cult and Art formed his own cult in response and it became a big mess and ultimately mutated into a nuclear threat to Florida.

Three factions...let's not forget Reformed Hoagism!

They're just outright heretics. They use no aftershave at all and have dropped all mention of the holy hairdo from their services.

Even though I'm a dedicated Hoagster and devoted to the cause, I'm afraid I'm a Hai Karate man.

Oh now you've gone and done it. You've split Hoagslam into two factions, the Hai Karate sect and the orthodox Old Hoagie adherents. The great aftershave schism has begun.

For many reasons. Been 19.5ing Hoagie and he is the real deal. At first I thought he was too much RCH and not enough guest (i.e. Nick Redfern). But he is definitely evolving and I like his conversation style. I do miss the braap-chair but at least he still has the hoag-phone.  Just wish I was more dissolute so I could hang on and join the toasty toasts live.

He did, he improved and dialed his style in nicely. Rossy and Hoagland have the show running like a well-oiled machine now. It's the perfect follow-up after Art's show.

He's been replacing the braaps and the hoag-phone with funny stories. Sordid mars crabs, naked maidens, going to death metal clubs, it's funny as hell.

That and we Hoaglims are upset at the City of Miami and/or the State of Fla not completely restoring the magic, ancient Miami Circle so we can do some Bulova watch measurements at the center of it.

Unforgivable. Obviously we'll need to acquire nuclear weapons to deal with Florida. Death to Florida!

Hoagie has style.  Hoagie has class.  Casual or formal, he's "got the look."

Shouldn't there be a Hoagie cologne out by now?  Visage de Mars?

I wish I had a clip of that night Hoagland thanked Bellgab for curing his sinus headache and gave us a huge BRAAAPS! It was like the king of all Braaps.

Holiday Hoagland is RCH's greatest look.

Sometimes you just have to loosen up the bolo tie and go casual.

The proliferation of fear-mongering, conspiracy-theory nonsense across the internet is not "nothing". I learned about it back in the "Planet X" days, where I saw people disrupt their entire lives over it.  What Art brought back up was soo old and thoroughly disproved, but here it is all over again, and even ART seems to have fallen for it. I choose to believe he was fooled and not just using it like Snoory does.

Man, it's just a radio program. Nothing to blow a gasket over.

Isn't about time for a Jihad, Holy War, or at least a Crusade, say to the Bahamas?  "All non-Hoagslam infidels must die!  The facts!  Look at the facts!  19.5 forever!"

We Hoaglims have no beef with anyone except the government of Mexico for kicking our prophet out of Chichen Itza for using the accutron.

Speaking of cults, did MV ever get his act in gear and set up our new religion, as was requested somewhere here on BellGab?  I feel the need to sacrifice some chupacabra, with the fall equinox coming-up.  I'm not going to let some Inuits screw that up.

There seems to be several different religions forming up at this stage. MVism, Hoagslam and Periscope. Which shall be the dominant cult remains to be seen.

Go to CBS, someone's got to get Colbert off the air.

In the interest of political correctness, the gum has no flavor at all. It's called Dave's Premiere gum and will be available on all your favorite paranormal dating websites this coming winter. Available in flavor-free turmeric and non-turmeric kinds. 100% pre-chewed.

Having listened to Hoaxland's embarrassing first few shows (Keith? Keith! Every time I tell it to do this it does that) I had avoided TOSOM but was persuaded to return by the positive things being said here.
And.....same old delusional bullshit. Do these people actually believe any of the crap they're spouting, or is it just a niche position taken and defended? I never can tell.
Thanks to astroguy for perfect explanation of the deception being practiced here. An insult to science, NASA and my intelligence. He'd have been kicked from pillar to post if he'd come up with this on Coast, and quite rightly so.

Give it a few shows. I too have no interest in Hoagland's theories other than to debunk his badly dated futurism but it's really odd, Hoagland somehow can flip a mental switch and turn into Charlie Rose and do really fantastic interviews with guests. Occasionally he transforms into the werehoag and tosses in some Mars stuff, but most of the time he's witty, knowledgeable and personable. It's very weird, especially since I expected to hate the show when it first started, but the guy is an excellent talk show host when he wants to be.

Dave sure knows how to spot talent! Falkie's obviously a good choice to do a show, unlike Hoagland.

You see, my tastes in Hoagie seem to run in the direct opposite direction of yours.  Shows need a variety in order to attract and keep an audience.

Mine too, I can handle the pareidolia Mars stuff every few weeks, but if it were night after night, it would get crushingly boring and repetitive very quickly. I really appreciate that show's variety and Richard's apparent ability to have a knowledgeable, comfortable conversation on just about any topic. Plus, Richard still turns into the werehoagland and tosses in Mars comments during most shows, usually towards the end.

It was a confusing post, at least to me. Art said he was just explaining. But then talked about turning the show over or continue himself. Was he talking about in a few years or now?

I think he was just thinking out loud about what might happen if he ever gets tired of doing it. Since Art owns it, he could say "gonna take a few months off!" and have a fill in host and then come back or whatever he wants to do. It's not like the old corporate days. Anything seems possible.

Right. And why cannot life grow eventually from water and rocks, just as this particular Universe grew from its initial explosion? Maybe the laws of physics and the Rules of the Universe just "are", and have always been. Creator optional.

Or maybe creator probable, if Nick Bostrom is to be believed. It's just that the creator isn't a god. It's just someone with a computer capable of simulating a universe very accurately.

One more thing, in "the old days" I would have had the opposite problem, again the World has changed.

I wondered about that. I was thinking "Art can't find a fundamentalist Christian?". They used to be everywhere. Now, apparently not so much.

I'm enjoying your show and Hoagland's. It's 5 hours of really fantastic radio. I just wish for more hard science guests like Dr. Dvorak.

Art knows BS but continues the show with tongue in cheek, RCH actually believes this bull shit.
I dont like lots of Arts shows, i dont care about EVP's life after death , witches , i like the real science shows

Thing is, Hoagland has two modes: RCH where he goes bat shit crazy like tonight and Richard Hoagland where he turns into a really great interviewer and has more real science and real world guests on than Art does and he interviews them completely competently. Weird, I agree, but it's true. Give this show a few listens.

Im not even gonna bother. Waste of time emailing him. Off to bed.

Actually you should. I give him complete credit on that. Hoagland does read and respond to email. Plus he ends practically every paragraph with . . . :)

It's fun to interact with him and productive for the show to let him know what you think.
