FAERIE.  Sounds like old folk tales of Faerie legends.

Ever since I first heard Paulides on C2C, this has been my favorite theory.

pro xpn sounds like a pro piracy company lol

Most VPN services are.  It's what makes them the most money, ironically enough.

Listening to the July 31 episode.  Did George really call "Rowdy" Roddy Piper "'Rod' Rod Piper?"  And then proceeded to subtly insult the business that Piper made a living for his family in?

Yes.  Jorch fraking did...

Hey, Jorge, if you want to talk about the Battle of the Bulge, you should at least get Danny Parker on to talk about his books instead of that fool Corsi.

The majority (almost all) of SIT shows which air on Saturday evenings are new and not available on the torrent.

Long live SIT. Bless George and his bosses for this ongoing gift to Art Bell fans everywhere. We love you George.

I almost said that without vomiting.

Somewhere in Time has been a complete dream for tape traders, I'd imagine.  Hell, about a quarter of the shows on the torrent are SIT replays, I bet.

Yeah, I was in bed last night, and I'd start to fall asleep and hear this guy claim Edwards was the culprit in yet another high-profile murder, and I'd let out a yell.  I just don't buy it. I plan to read up on it and come to my own conclusions but, as of now, there's no way I'm buying this.  ::)

I laughed my ass off when he claimed on his site that Edwards was responsible for local sports editor Kent Heitholt.

My local AM station runs promos for C2C. But uses John B Wells segments as the advertising promos. Even just today after his being fired for a few months.

I've got that beat, my station still uses the Coast to Coast Live with Ian Punnett promos.

Yeah, I actually don't think Jorch did such a terrible job with Paulides last night.  I get he is trying to sell his books but if you're going on for three hours you have to bring more to the table than "who's to say" type responses.  Do you think its Sasquatch, demons, giant predatory birds, perverts in the woods, some of the above, all of the above?  I mean, what? ::)

First time I heard it, I thought "fey."  Certainly getting a Call of Cthulhu game scenario out of that idea.

Curbing cursing really, Do we really need to have a show about this? For heaven sake, Coast to Coast is ready to be buried.

Waste of fucking time if you ask me.

Yes, from the Grinch who stole C2C.

Can't be.  The Grinch had a change of heart at the end (spoilers, I know...)  I don't see that happening to old Georgie boy.

Let the conservative/conspiracy list begin:

Glenn Beck
Rush Limbaugh
Sean Hannity
Bill O'Reilly
Greta Van Sustren
Andy Dean
Alex Jones
Fox and Friends
The Five (Fox)
Neil Cavuto
Jim Marrs  (at times)
Michael Savage
Bill Cunningham (Sunday nights.....and some TV stations)
Laura Ingraham
Neil Boorst
Michael Reagan
Michael Medved.....

etc....etc....etc........WE DO NOT.....I REPEAT........WE DO NOT NEED TO HEAR THIS STUFF ON COAST TO COAST!

Exactly.  If this is what you want to listen to, there are plenty of sources, believe me.  We really don't need this on C2C, especially when it's practically all one host does...

I know........and, it made be so nostalgic for the "good old days" of great dark Saturday nights listening to Dreamland.

Now, Saturday nights are ruined.

I went ahead and looked and did a site search on Google for the song title and then one of the artists.  This is probably the first non-Bell show that it's appeared on.  Kind of makes me wonder "Why now?"

And I agree on Saturday nights being ruined, especially because of Wells.  If I want to hear Conservative conspiracy theories, I've got Glenn Beck on the same station every day.

Have they ever used the old Dreamland theme song with frequency?  That kind of threw me off guard when I heard it last night.

Re-repeat the first hour, I'd imagine.  That's how my radio station used to do it.

Don't know if Art CAN stop this. It may well be too late as the fans turn into crazed, destroy Sirius/Premrat/$noory monsters.

And I was having so much FUN with it too.

Fuck you Sirius.

Fuck you Premiere.

And especially Fuck You $noory.

Does this mean I should stop my war with the $nooremaster ?

>:(

The war against $Noory should remain as strong as ever!

Well then, Art would have a much better case against those who have accused him in the past of killing his wife. Wonder who could have started that rumor....hmmmm

I have an inkling his name sounds like a breakfast cereal...

I looked on amazon.com at the description of "Noory's" new cookbook.  In the "author's profile," it described Noory as having won "the distinguished Navy Achievement Award" -- no other awards mentioned, so clearly the writer of that profile (and whoever supplied them with the info) considers that a high "Achievement."
Except -- my service was in the Army, but the Army has an analogous award called (reasonably enough) the Army Achievement Medal.  You can get that for keeping a neat wall locker!   If that's the best TeamNoory could do for "military bragging rights," --well, sometimes it's better to just say nothing at all.

By the way, how goddamned incompetent do you have to be in order to need AND ACKNOWLEDGE a co-writer for a COOKBOOK?  Yep, ol' Bill Birnes did the heavy lifting on this one too!   Is that incredible or what??

To be fair, though, it was a very clean and tidy locker...

Art came back!

Then he retired again, midway through the first hour.

Dude, you shoulda been there. it was epic.

Then he retired from retiring.  It was weird, too...  :P

In all Siriusness, we learned that Coast to Coast was back on XM, on the same channel that Dark Matter was on.  Then Dave "graced" us with his presence...

Regarding Coast's "glorious" return to Sirius, I can only quote that great thinker Groucho Marx when he said: "Of course, you know that this means war..."

Dear Art,

For a brief period, 6 weeks, it was like my world was complete. Seriously. I had missed you for such a long time. Used to listen to you every night, and had all the stations along regular long distance routes programmed in my car radio so as to not miss a thing.

There is just not a lot of good radio on anymore. And as someone who grew up in Chicago, I know good radio. Some of the best in the USA is (or was) in Chicago.

Art, as a fan, and a fellow ham, I just don't know what to say. For some people, your return was a major event. The return of a beloved ritual... a familiar voice.... interesting subjects.

There have been times that I, and others, have blamed you, Sirius, streaming, or <insert scapegoat here>.

I'm sorry for that.

Regardless of the garbage that has been spewed by myself and others in the thread, it has to be said: You are the best broadcaster I've ever heard. Pure entertainment, good topics, interesting guests, and un screened open lines. It is a deadly combination for a radio show.

So regardless of who played the worst role in this debacle on Sirius. Remember this: If you are breathing, you belong on the air- anything less is a waste of material.

****ing this!

Art, I said you don't deserve the insults here and that you shouldn't have to come here, and yet I'm very thankful to hear from you.  Please don't let a minority of bully types ruin it for the rest of us.

This.  Bullies, trolls and people still very deeply in the anger cycle.

Your question has been addressed here before, dBell...  It's an issue of filters:  those who lean left think C2C has become very right-wing.  Those who lean right think the show is the same as it's ever been.  There's probably no convincing either side they're wrong.  Anyone who is a fence-sitter is an idiot.  CLEARLY, the show has moved rightward, chatter of angels be damned.

Caveat A: Except when Wells is host.  We pretty much know then.

In addition to Ride My See Saw by the Moody Blues, Coast to Coast also played "We Are the Champions" by Queen as bumper music last night.  Coincidence?  Maybe not.

Add in Gnoory's crown avatar he has at the moment.  Guy's a dick.
