Go to 9:20 in the reviews.

Can Senda recover from a moment like that with such grace. I say no he can't.

You can take the boy out of the army, but you can't take the army out of the boy. That sounded like a wet one too, and he might  well have followed through; unsurprising when you consider the amount of junk food he shovels down. That Hungry Man TV meat loaf might have had some unpleasant side-effects. I hope he does his own laundry, but even that icky moment still has him a thousand-fold above Senda in the likeability stakes.

I put 9/11 conspiracy theories in the same basket as the majority of UFO sightings. Just as most UFOs are almost certainly experimental aircraft - and the authorities encourage speculation about aliens to divert attention from what is really going on - it wouldn't surprise me if the theories about explosives were seeded to take the heat off the real story. There was probably shocking incompetence by various agencies of one kind or another, and they didn't want it coming to light. There is always a witch-hunt after events like this and they needed a suitable scapegoat. What better sideshow than creating a fuss about something absurd that will occupy the attention of a few obsessives and make the idea of questioning any aspect of 9/11 ridiculous? It will go nowhere, and after a few years of fruitless navel-gazing people will get bored of the whole subject and move on. And that's exactly what has happened.

After all, what possible sense would there be to rig explosives in the towers in the first place? You already saw two planes crashing into skyscrapers. That's enough, in propaganda terms, and anything else is just gilding the lily.

Metrosexual can be a nice change from all the rippling muscles and seething loins I'm used to dealing with. Although even a ciudad like Bogota has it's charms

Ouch! Report to BellGab remedial for re-education.

If we can somehow arrange to get DPS, a video camera, and Senda with his mouth open in the same room, this would be a YouTube classic.

I think it's just fascinating and adorable how this f****** idiot c*** can't be bothered to even address a simple question about the mid-air pulverization of tens of thousands of pounds of concrete, but yet he can sit around and talk about fucking Falkie all f****** day like it's his f****** job.

What a loser - - even for a European. Note the timestamps - - he's had oodles of time, and all he's done with it, is run away.

First of all, it's just a guess about tens of thousands of pounds of pulverized concrete. Nobody knows, and you can't cite any verifiable sources. It's all based on looking at a few photos and estimating - with more than a jot of confirmation bias thrown in - what actually happened. Those buildings were huge, and the thrust that must have  been  exerted would have been immense - it's not necessary to pre-suppose that explosives were involved when natural forces can account for phenomena like that anyway.

Despite the fact that it annoys me that you'll chub up at being right I agree with you. Two to three hosts is probably best. When you have 4 and then a caller or callers it can get to be too many voices. It's hard not to step on toes or for someone to get left out.

I would still love to do an international version of the GabCast one of these days with you and Pud and maybe a Canadian that sounds least like a Yank.

Whoozit sounded Canadian to me actually, I don't know whether he fessed up to it or not, but I thought I could detect a few 'aboots' in there, and he sounded too well-adjusted and pleasant to be an American.

Four people is a good idea when you have a new person who might be slightly nervous, because then the others can take up the slack. Otherwise, if there are more experienced people involved then inevitably someone can get squeezed out. This Yorkie impersonator (doubtless just back from another kids party making his balloon animals) was on for over half an hour, so that  made five people around the table.

And, yes, you're right, I am thoroughly chubbed right now at this feast of agreement.

I agree with everything you said.

As you can imagine, I hear this multiple times over the course of a typical day. You'd think I'd get bored with hearing it, but I never do.

I'm glad we are as one mind when it comes to IB. The words 'dead' and 'weight' leap to mind. She's basically PKaiser with a vagina...in fact, that means she's exactly like PKaiser. I'm sure there are some people who like the sound a woman who, vocally and intellectually, sounds like an epileptic seal, but I've never been one of them
#4539
I enjoyed the show, although sometimes I wonder whether three people is the optimal number of hosts rather than four, because someone ends up getting squeezed out. In this case it was IB who was muzzled, so it was a win-win, but occasionally you get someone with something worthwhile to say and they don't always get a hearing. That's no one's fault, it's just the fact that four competing voices can get a bit much to deal with occasionally. It was good to hear whoozit too, I always enjoy putting a voice to a poster. We also had the world's only Yorkshire Pud impersonator - my only criticism is that he sounded slightly more vulgar and working class (if that is possible) than the original.

I understand that there was a GabCast the other night and that appalling Bitch woman made another appearance. I know she can't help sounding like a cross between a duck with learning difficulties and a malfunctioning chainsaw, but there are limits to what my sensitive constitution can take of her random caterwaulings. Added to that, she was talking with undisclosed fluids sloshing about in her sinuses. She claimed it was a cold, but I have my doubts, as it was 'Half-Price Friday' at the Ranch that day and she always likes to earn a few extra bucks to support her coke habit. I can only conclude that MV is planning to sell some sort of ear protection at the soon-to-be-unveiled BellGab gift shop, and that's why she keeps popping up, because it has nothing to do with merit.

Oh, and I notice that Australian person was on again. This is for you, big boy!

I find your story thin and unconvincing. You may as well change your avatar to Edward Snowden next. Your greasy fingerprints are all over this tawdry tale,  and I wouldn't be surprised if you weren't taking kickbacks from MV to help set up all those nano-cameras in Senda's hovel/sty.

Thank you for that bit of info on how polls are supposedly "more sophisticated" today.

Trump is up by 3 today....

Next!

The polls might be more sophisticated, but it doesn't sound like the people are. If I wasn't such a benevolent soul I'd almost wish that you did get him as president. It would serve you right.

And don't think I didn't notice that bit of tap-dancing, arguing from one side before switching to the other. That sort of exercise can't be good for the old ticker.

Ah, you know nothing about recent history.  Ronald Reagan was down in the polls 15 points to a SITTING PRESIDENT the night before the election and ended up winning the THIRD LARGEST LANDSLIDE in US history the next day.  Only Nixon's 1972 landslide (49 states) and Reagan's own second landslide in 1984 (49 states) were larger.  Trump not only CAN win, he will do so in a landslide and you can move your uninteresting, uneducated fat ass to France.

Kids....

Polls are more sophisticated now than they were then. And you have just described the exception that proves the rule.

Next!

I gave the White Crow hoodie its first road test the other day. I may have misread the small print, but I assumed that it entitled me to free food from the supermarket of my choice. Unfortunately, the police didn't get the memo, so I am now formally applying to The Bank of White Crow for assistance with my bail money. Fortunately this cell has excellent Wi-Fi.

I totally agree the same would apply to Trump.  No disagreement there.

This is the root of the problem IMO.  We have two presidential candidates interested only in acquiring wealth for themselves. Paying for things is what got them where they are, and that is how they will run the country, even the world if they can, ie: acquiring wealth for themselves.  Again, IMO.

I could be wrong, but I doubt whether either Hillary or Trump are in it for the money. I don't think any candidate goes into it expecting to enrich themselves, because most of them already have more money than they will ever get around to spending. With Hillary, it's something that she has probably always wanted for as long as she can remember. She wants the power. With Trump, I really don't know what motivates him. It may be no more than a bored rich kid wanting a new toy to play with. If he gets it (dog help us!) he might get bored as soon as he gets his diminutive little paws on the reins of power. For someone who  has spent so much of his life in the public eye he remains an enigma, albeit a squalid one that I don't care to think about all that much.

FIFY   :(

Then the same would apply to Trump. And you, on those nights when you visit downtown Falls and start swinging your iron fist a little too carelessly. I'm amazed you've managed to stay out of jail all this time, the number of victims you've managed to chalk up. And they are only the ones I know about.

You say that based on what? Hillary's had tons. Trump hasn't had many even though he's been under the public eye for decades. All we have to go on is how the media paints the scandals, in other words the narrative. If they had something on Trump, it would have sunk him by now. You know how narrative works and so do I. We both know that narrative can influence thinking. Why hasn't the media sunk him yet?

Trump is held to different standards. Most of his supporters have perfected a weird doublethink that can rationalise even his shadiest stuff. He's become the focus of all their irrational dreams and hatreds, so it doesn't really matter what the messenger looks like when the message is so flawed to begin with. The media haven't 'sunk' him, but they have illustrated the most salient aspects of his character, which should be enough to convince most rational adults. He's just Billy Mays crossed with Napoleon. It's clear that he's making everything up as he goes along, but he appeals to a constituency that can't see through the froth. They all but call him 'Daddy Trump' - he appeals to the most infantile instincts in people, and they all want to be looked after like babies.

The point about the media not sinking him yet, and that somehow proving he's more-or-less clean, can apply equally to Hillary. There can't have been a more scrutinised politician in the history of politics than her, and what have they really turned up? Not much more than innuendo and peccadillos. She must be astonishingly smart to be so crooked and evil yet manage to stay out of jail all this time.

Quote from: SciFiAuthor on September 13, 2016, 12:31:52 AM
But it's worse than that. I can't figure out how Hillary could be issued a security clearance. If you or I had security clearances and compromised them like she did, how the fuck would we not end up in front of a federal judge? Yet she didn't. You tell me how that works and we'll both know.

The email 'scandal' was barely worthy of the name. If that's what gets everyone in a lather over there you ought to congratulate yourselves that you have nothing more serious to worry about. Everyone wants to nail Hillary for something, but they have never made up their mind what they want to aim at. As with most conpiracy theories, it's about throwing enough shit at the wall and hoping some of it sticks. Now they are trying a different tack by telling us that she has a life-threatening illness.

I always imagine him sitting in his bathrobe in some fetid apartment, banging on the walls with his walking stick when the neighbours start screaming in 'Mexican' too loudly. His only fun is when his 300 pound Bulgarian nurse arrives to change his diaper. For a Christian he's never quite mastered the whole 'turning the other cheek' thing. I'm pretty sure Jason Christ wouldn't have approved of his veiled threats to murder MV a few weeks ago.

I think, when you compare Senda with Callan, Senda's  total lack of charm is apparent. He never really connects with other people, and that's why most people find him so unappealing. He lives in his own little world of excuses and paranoia, and Callan's a breath of fresh air by comparison. That said, I think even Senda is preferable to this oily bastard. Every so often, I look at this guy's channel to see if he has succumbed to a massive heart attack/ fatsplosion, but he's still going. A prize to the brave soul who can get through this video without vomiting on the screen.
