Amy's news break was great! She reads it purposefully with nice pacing and a beautiful tone.
Well done!

Really makes me wonder what that was over if he thought only these two dudes were going to get at him. The first guy was clearly drunk with how he walked up, froze and practically begged the guy to knock him out. I have no idea what the second guy was trying to do. The guy throwing those punches has absolutely sick hand speed in both hands which doesn't come naturally.

Indeed, to get that kind of ambidextrous hand speed, one must practice! ;D

You wanna go, punk?

I like how he nonchalantly walks on his  way after he knocks 2 dudes out!
'no big deal, happens every day'  hahaha

Considering that interim HC Dan Campbell has been with the Fins since before Philbin, one wonders if he's been the contingency plan since the season began. The owner said something about how he likes Campbell's "grit," which is not something you'd associate with Philbin. He's also got that Bill Parcells connection, having played for the man and one of his notable disciples in Sean Payton.

Grit is exactly what this team needs, particularly the defense.  They have been disappointing &  below mediocre on both sides of the ball. I expected the Dolphins to take the next step due to their offseason acquisitions and help make the AFC East a highly competitive and entertaining division.

What's going on with FG this year?
They are making only 84% of attempted field goals so far.
Could the extra point rule change have anything to do with missing FG?
I don't see how it can be related, unless the 33 yard PAT is getting into the kickers heads.

Fins finally fired Philbin!

Erm...

Right after the loss to the Jets, the unemotional Philbin said he's not concerned about loosing his job. Yet another miscalculation from coach er uh, former coach Philbin. He's not the type of guy that can be the emotional force needed to rally a group of players together. I'm not surprised he was shown the door. However, It is surprising that it came after only 4 games into the season. I thought they'd fire the OC & DC and allow Philbin to finish the season.

Johnson working hard on redemption! 2 points down now with 4 min left! Turning into a real good game!

Just switched over to this game. Wow! Cards are going to loose this one. Rams have beat both Cards and Seahawks in the NFC West.
If the rams could find some consistency, they'd be a great team.

STRIP SACK! Denver's Defense  wins again!
#282
WTF is up with all the Viking fans at Mile High? holy shit, it's like a home game for them

edit: Denver O isn't as dominate as it once was. certainly makes for a more interesting & competitive game. Denver defense is on the field and they can win the game with a stop.  4th week in a row the outcome is placed squarely on the D's shoulders. This time however, they are dealing with a highly mobile QB in Bridgewater.

Best name in the NFL. Bacardi Rambo. Even better than Jurevicius

Great name for a football player and a porn star! ;D

I outsmarted myself in the pool by picking the Jags over the Colts. Almost got the win. Turns out, it wouldn't have mattered much because of the Bears and Skins upset wins.

Floodlight is poised for a good week. Perfect so far.

I really love the revamped Jets. They have two of my faves Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall...also Cute Guys and now Chris Ivory. Don't know much about their coach but he has really whipped this team into shape. And he seems so zenlike on the sidelines

the new Jets coach is doing a nice job. I'm still pissed about Decker leaving Denver. His departure hurt the Broncos more than expected.

eagles and chip getting blasted here ..rightfully so

What a disaster!
Bradford is showing the rust of missing all of last season. That O line isn't helping him either.

Lots of pages since last night.

Two things: One, I had a case of food poisoning last night. After reading several pages this morning, I think my evening was more pleasant.

Two, Spinners on tits are not attractive.

How dare you sir! Nipple spinners are the most important part of my busness casual outfit.

A few weeks ago, Pittsburgh gave up a draft pick to get him.

In a couple of days, any team should be able to pick him up for nothing.

I was thinking the same thing.
Scobee's confidence was shot and Mike Tomlin couldn't even rely on him to kick a 50+ yard FG to win in OT
Kicker=loneliest job in the NFL
#299
going to OT.
Turning out to be a fairly decent game.  Josh Scobee missing 2 late 4th qtr FG, oops

Edit:
Ravens win by 3
I was beginning to wonder if either team could win this game

I was at a Dolphin game when Vick played for the Falcons. He came in the game in 3rd quarter after Chandler got hurt. It might have been the first game Vick played. He was amazing. I thought he was going to be one of the best. He was just so much faster than any person on the field. He ran full speed to his left and flicked the ball 60 yards into the end zone and hit his guy perfectly. I'm not a fan of his but will always remember that throw.

No doubt he was an amazing QB for Atlanta. One of the most explosive, highly mobile and accurate QB's back then.  I liked watching him play & he was a lock in my fantasy league one year.
Too bad he shit the bed.
