We've been getting God-said-man-said in this market, too. I most recently heard it on Medved. They are unsettling. One of them said something about interracial marriage. I only caught that one once.

Has anybody caught the Biblical money code one?

I've heard both of them.  They're going nuts airing the money code one over and over again.  I'm starting to hear it so much, I'm beginning to think I'm a prophet.

The Ghost and Mr. Chicken: it still puts a smile on my face almost 50 years later.
I too have been through a couple of weeks of something similar, but it was more the classic low-gore of the 50's-60's horror films. I watched 6-8 each of the Hammer films and Vincent Price horror movies. And they were such a treat. I was particularly struck by the tremendously high quality of actors in the Hammer films. I didn't say high quality of acting though, since so much scenery chewing was demanded. But the actors were wonderfully trained. You could tell that even the supporting cast were trained in the classic theater, and all had that Shakespearean voice. Price was much the same, although the Corman movies are not as interesting to me. Still, I see superior actors even in those movies in comparison to today's uber-gore flicks.

I stumbled upon Me TV several weeks ago.  Svengoolie was airing the B classic "Curse of the Undead," a nifty little black and white horror flick from the 50's about a vampire cowboy terrorizing a small town.  Even this el cheapo had some decent actors with Eric Fleming, of Rawhide fame (see "cattle prods," on another thread), and Michael Pate as the man-in-black vampire.

I'm really loving the Me TV schedule.  It even has "Thriller" with that other classic actor, Boris Karloff.  Yes, yes, the actors from those days are so much better than so many of the shallow, self-absorbed Hollywood cretins of today.

A quick detour for a short war story about cattle prods....

And when a cattle prod just isn't handy...

Listening to am radio tonight.
Local station only a few miles away comeing in clear and strong. All of a sudden the program goes dead air, followed by a man saying something in a language I cannot place. Just sounded like jibberish....

Wells was on last night.

Maybe I wasn't focusing enough on what Robert Tosh Plumlee was trying to say....

I woke up in the middle of the night and caught the last part of the one known as Wells.  It sounded like two drunk rednecks rambling on in the local watering hole, with one of them being retarded.  If that's what "drinking tea" does to you, I'm sticking with coffee.

This continues to amaze me. It's like, "Huh? What? Oh!! I've got to pay! Oops, I don't have enough money! Now, where is that card? Maybe I should write a check instead.....". Jeez Louise! Drives me crazy....

Behavior such as this is why I despise shopping, especially in the grocery store.  Our society seems to be overwhelmed with completely self-absorbed nincompoops.  If an aisle in the grocery isn't blocked by a twit forever staring at items on a shelve, it's somebody taking advantage of the free samples.  I swear, some people go to the grocery for a meal of food samples and fruit pilfering.  Thank goodness for the self-checkouts.  I can usually find one which isn't tied-up by somebody who's jammed-up the checkout machine.

The next fun is leaving the place, with idiots zooming through the parking lot like it was freeway, all the while playing with a phone.  I'm surprised more people aren't run down in parking lots.

Fantastic.  I'll be having a great time not listening to it. :)

Same here.  I'll be listening to a download of somebody who knows how to do a good show and plays music that doesn't blow.

Didn't  you see some strange smoke circles or dot-dot-dash sky patterns while on a hike a few months back? Did you ever figure out what that was?

Chemtrails.  Had to be chemtrails.  That, or Flight 112 to Chicago.

When I download it I get 3:30, if you take out the C crane stuff its probably like 3:22 or so. Which is pretty dang good.

Unlike c2c which is riddled with commercials its almost unlistenable due to that fact alone.

And with C2C's hack host, it becomes completely unlistenable.

Prediction:

Kim Novak will die in 2014. The death roster for the 1975 TV movie, Satan's Triangle will then be complete.

Wow... I hope not.  I watched the TCM interview of her after they telecast "Vertigo," not too long ago.  She sounded pretty good but, very sadly, she hasn't aged well due to some unfortunate plastic surgery.  Her interview was quite interesting.  It's too bad she pretty much hung it up as a major screen actress at a fairly early age.   Both her and Grace Kelly, very classy ladies on the screen.

megyn kelly on fox news.  she's a typical fnc big government neo conservative establishment republican who is predictable in ALL of her analysis.  what show did she replace?  this is a fucking insufferable show.  i haven't watched fnc in a while, so i'm not aware of what show they dumped to make room for her.

i miss the beltway boys.

She's in Hannity's old time slot.  Hyper Hannity is now on after her, for a "double delight."  ;)  They both need to back off of the caffeine.

...Also, I had a couple problems early on with the Sirius app but once I learned it I have had zero problems with it on three different phones, my tablet, and my desktop.  I think alot of the streaming issues are not Sirius, but instead ISPs and flaky connections - meaning streaming from the website will not fix them.

Similar here.  The app's working pretty well on my Android.  The only issue I've noticed is with downloads.  There have been several shows I've downloaded and, for some reason, they start several minutes into the show, instead of from the very beginning of the show.  I'm not sure what that's about.

Yes, I remember Kenny from Norwood.   Sadly I think he was real.  Same with the guy who called himself the "Prince of Labor".  I know he was real.  Best shill on WLW currently goes by the name "Richard from Indian Hills".

That was him, "Kenny from Norwood."  ;D  If Kenny was a real "truck'n good 'ol boy," I wouldn't be surprised.  If not, he was certainly a good actor.  He was good enough, I never even thought of him being a shill, at the time.  Kenny was pretty entertaining, along with Cunningham's dead-pan exchanges.  Bill's old show was right before The Truck'n Bozo's, at midnight.

I vaguely recall "The Prince of Labor."  I'm no longer in the Cincinnati area, but I'll tune into WLW on occasion, via IHeart.  Oh, yeah, "Richard from Indian Hills."  :D

Thanks Jaz, back in those days I only got to hear the last 20-25 minutes of Art's show as I was getting ready for work.  Don't remember ever hearing Mr. Liberal.

As for JC, I've always assumed he is what I've heard guys in talk radio refer to as a "shill caller".  These folks call talk shows at the behest of the station to stir up the pot and fire up real callers to phone in, usually on political left/right issues.   WLW here in Ohio is famous for its shills, going back to the late 80s through today.  I got to know some of the on-air talent from WLW while doing some work for them, and they related a few of the stories.  Most were on-air personalities from markets far removed from our local area, assume it's still the same today.

So does anyone think Art, or even George, uses/has used shills?

Oh, yeah, good 'ol WLW.  I remember Bill Cunningham's original night show in the '80s.  He was a lot funnier with his original show with Seg and I'm sure he had shill callers.  Remember the good 'ol boy trucker, Kenny, that used to call in?  Kind of sounded like Slim Pickens, at least to me.  I think he started every other sentence with "I tell you what..."  ;D

I'm always downloading the program and it's always about 3:30.  Of course that includes Art's Crane stuff but he does them so well I don't count them.  Better than listening to Dave's Carnivora crap.
