I have chewed this over from a million angles and it still comes down to most likely a crazy person because you have got to be crazy to fire shots at the end of a dead end road.

I will say I reacted emotionally when my Wife said she had had enough but that's life I guess and of course I miss it. I could have said I would just take a break till we get this resolved but I said what I said and you can't take words back.

I have said that if time passes without incident I might do a show every now and then to give Heather a night off but will do so unannounced.

I am going to remain a BellGabber.

Well I consider myself a Bell Gabber, been here some time now. I can not be on air now for reasons you all are well aware of. I have a lot of faith in Heather. I have come to know her very well and again I predict she will surprise people.

While I understand there is little difference for the listener about why I am gone, to me it is a big difference, I would LOVE to be there but I really need the support of my Family and right now they are scared with good reason.

It is Keith that wanted to shut the door, I talked him out of it. He just reacted in the moment as did I.

I think what I was trying to express is I did not want to stop doing the show I love but rather had to given the current situation, not a important difference I guess but Retire to me means a personal desire to be done which was not the case.

I did not say I was Retiring did I? I said I was going off the air because of this increasing problem with a Stalker. If some time can pass without incident I would be happy to do a random show. The big problem with this has been I had a fixed routine making it way to easy for this fool.

Yup, you all are right, I have always told you what is going on in my life as it happens. Yes it was my Wife who finally had enough because of my Daughter's bad reaction. The show is sure my love but not ahead of my Family. We are just hoping nothing else happens for some period of time. If so I may poke my head up if Heather keeps things going. If this continues I may have to move, not something I look forward to at my age. I have asked the Sheriff to post the last two Police reports but I doubt that will happen till Monday at least.

As for now we are hoping for peace.

I have just finished trying to catch up on the latest happenings with Art and listened to last night's show.

As many of you have posted, none of this makes any sense.

Art apparently quits because his family is in danger, yet he comes back on the air after he announces his reasons for quitting,  despite his reason for quitting is allegedly that being on the air puts his family in danger and is traumatizing his daughter.  Then, he basically takes over the show, steers it, interviews the guest, calls breaks and names Heather the new host of MITD....and then he signs off.

So how does any of the above make any sense?!?!

Where were Airyn and Asia while he was on the air last night?

Was he not concerned about his/their safety by making this move? ...Asia hiding in her room?!?!

Were Heather's difficulties with the show at the start more important to motivate him to get on the air with her, than allegedly his families safety?...the reason for him quitting?!?!?

I give Heather Wade huge kudos for taking the show on last night...this must have been very high pressure and most difficult.

That said, after hearing her initial interview with Art before MITD debuted, and  then the show Art had her on as a pseudo co-host which many balked at ( and Art nixed her role in that), I have to say she would serve much better in a role with Art Bell as Robin is to Howard Stern.

I trust that Heather is savvy, smart and has a relatively nice voice, however IMHO her tone, approach and manner doesn't suit a venue as sole host for a late night intimate program like what we have experienced with Art.

Sorry Heather, I wish you more than well, however I won't be paying for any subscription with you hosting MITD. Not sure if I will even listen on any regular basis except when I'm awake on my local radio station until they cancel the show with this new development.

I am also so sorry for all the other causalities of this latest news: Keith Rowland and DMDN which seems to be done according to what RCH and Keith are alluding to, all the other podcast folks on DMDN etc.

What a total F*** up.

There was no other way for Art Bell to handle this with ensuring safety to his family and keeping MITD going with him in his chair?!?!?....

As Art has said many times, "Nothing is as it Seems" and sadly I think this may be one of those times.....

Well by now I am sure you all know I have thrown in the towel yet again. This time it was because after this last incident I was still going to go forward with a open line show tonight until my Wife sat me down this Afternoon and said she now thinks we should stop, it turns out my Daughter Asia had been sent to her room as the Police were called and my Wife found her shaking in the dark scared to death. People I am sure will say all sorts of things as usual but when my Wife said enough and told me our Daughter was in trauma over this last incident it kind of sank in that I have more to think about then myself and what people may say. As the Police came they did so of course with lights and sirens, about three or four Patrol cars I think and Asia did not know if I was alive or dead, too much for a 8 Year old and Mom.

So I want to thank all the Bell Gab members who have helped in so many ways getting this show off the ground, my heart will always be with you in every way. So many have helped and even been involved like Ross, what a great guy. Heather who will now get a shot at least and I hope you will all throw your support to her.

I may do a show every now and then with no regular dates which might throw off what ever nut job has been doing this. At least I had a shot at what I love for some Month's. Again a special thanks to everybody on this special place.

It comes with what I do I learned that a long time ago, people think and say the worst things, for the most part that's all they do from behind a mask is talk or make phone threats. It's that other very small group that one must worry about, people who talk rarely DO. A phone threat can be blown off easily but shooting near my House or showing up on my property is something else again, that at the very least is Terrorism.

Anybody who wishes will find the reports at the Nye County Sherrif's office, including the Neighbors who saw it. The way to get ratings is with a good show, not some stupid stunt. As far as talking about it I have always talked about my life on the air, I don't think I could not do that. Ho hum, people will always think and say what they want.

I don't post as much because I am busy with the show. I have seen some people think I made that stuff up for ratings? Not funny, I did consider leaving because of it because it put a big stress on my
Family as well as myself but it also pissed me off. You don't get ratings because you miss a day or your so shaken that it's hard to concentrate. Ratings only come from doing a good show. Besides do people think I got all my Neighbors to give false statements to the Police? My opinion is people like to imagian the worst of people, that's all.

In my Years doing this show the guy on Friday night who said with regard to Nuclear War "I would try to get directly under a incoming middle and call for a fair catch" nearly knocked me out.

I guess I need to say something about the email and messages I have been getting about RCH. I did everything I could to help him in every way possible, including getting a loan of expensive gear from Telos to transmit his show to the Network. I found Rossy for him. I gave him the best advice I could muster up on how to proceed. I provided help in more ways then I will try to detail here.

I am sad that events have unfolded as they have. I am not going to discuss specifics but will say that we are currently not in communication nor have we been for some time now. Sometimes you think you know somebody and then find out you never really did, just sad. Please understand that I do not run the Network, I just do my show.

Abbynormal did not scare me, she amazed me. What kind of mouse sits down 18 inches away from a Human and just looks at you? I thought it was cool and I left bread with peanut butter for her. I am sure I will have to capture her before she decides my cables are yummy.

Redacted does a great job, it's just that somebody can be lucid at 2pm and for whatever reason not as much at Midnight, all live Radio is a coin toss.

Last night's Guest was tough, he was all over the place and contradicting himself. Doing a Talk Show is not easy when in those situations because you don't want to be mean to somebody but on the other hand you have to call them on it if they can't keep even their own statements straight, it is a tough situation indeed. That was a classic example. Like anything you do in life there are good and bad days. The thing to strive for is more good then bad.

Including the Washington Post ABC and CNN. I think he was just pissed that he got scooped. Or perhaps his Angel visions are offended. I doubt any of us will know more till our hardware is repaired and we can take a further look.

I know we are honest but that guy was telling everybody he could that he slave 24 Hours a day and got zero for it. That makes us out to be cheaters and bad guys, he also posted a hundred dollar payment Keith sent as evidence of how we cheated him, so I guess I will delete the message but I just could not let those lies stand.
