I hear ya. I had a blowout at highspeed with my whole family in the car. Changing the tire on the side of the freeway with cars whizzing past at 100 kph (62 mph) was one of the scariest things I have ever done in my life.

I'm glad you are ok as well! People die ever year getting hit by another car while changing a tire.

There used to be a card game called "Illuminati" a few years back that dealt with many Art Bell topics.

"
THREE TYPE THEORY

Type Number One:
This  type lets you know from the outset, either,
through his words or actions, or both-that he's out
to get  all  of your chips. He then follows through by
attempting to do just that.

Type Number Two:
This type  assures you that 'he's not interested in
getting your chips, and he usually infers that he
wants to see you get everything "that's coming to
you." He then follows through, just like Type
Number One, and attempts to grab  all of  your chips
anyway_

Type Number  Three:
This type also assures you that he's not interested
in getting any of your chips, but, unlike Type
Number Two, he sincerely means it. That, however,
is where the difference ends; due to any one of a
number of reasons-ranging from his own bungling
to his personal standards for rationalizing what's
right and wrong-he, like Types Number One and
Two, still ends up trying to grab your chips.
In summation, I realized that no matter how a
guy came on, he would,  in  the final analysis, attempt
to grab all of my chips (again with the one
exception that I pointed out) ."

Art did interview Bruce Goldberg a few times in the 90s on his Dreamland show.
He even told Art about his past life as a high priest in Atlantis.

Goldberg's BS doesn't bother me for some reason.

This sounds like an amazing idea! This is what this thread is all about.

I do it sometimes. It's nice because you can stand up and walk around or just like act out a scene with props while standing. The software isn't great at recognizing many strange names so give your characters the names of cities-such as Mary Houston or Tim Dallas. You can then do a search and replace later on to fix the names.

So far just George Noory haikus, but I want to branch out from there.

The great thing about George Noory haikus is that you don't need to write a real haiku; George can't count syllables.

Yeah.  I wrote probably 35-40,000 stories as a journalist.  Now I'm working out how to write fiction. I find myself editing too much and not writing enough.

I recommend something like Dragon Naturally Speaking to lay down some ground work. It feels like it is much easier to talk a scene out and then edit it, than to just start writing/typing.

QuoteLiterary elites love to rep Shakespeare’s vocabulary: across his entire corpus, he uses 28,829 words, suggesting he knew over 100,000 words and arguably had the largest vocabulary, ever.

I decided to compare this data point against the most famous artists in hip hop. I used each artist’s first 35,000 lyrics. That way, prolific artists, such as Jay-Z, could be compared to newer artists, such as Drake.

Just catching up on the show and GK has just asked if law enforcement or the people that disappear might be under mind control. Mind control might be forcing people to wander away from camp.

What if these people are disappearing from Quantum Entanglement causing openings into other universes? These people then walk into the entrance to the other universe.

I think that he may have a distorted notion about how widespread these occurences are.  Just think, how many people use national parks, national forests, wilderness areas like the Bob Marshal, etc. every year.

The national parks actually have a pretty big police force that is used for busting people for drugs often. They have companies that run the stores and clean the hotels. Many of these operators on National Park land use minimum wage employees they bring in from all over (Asia) etc and they have problems with drugs or assaults and more.

For example, there is an actual court and judge inside Yosemite NP and one in Flagstaff that services Grand Canyon NP.

No, that is true, Ian doesn't have "the" voice.  Not everybody is so endowed.  But whenever I think "oh, that's a nice voice" I think to myself, vocal cords are gross to look at, too.  If a woman has too breathy of a voice, sometimes it is annoying, especially if they are accentuating that, using an affect to a voice is fake and it annoys me.  It's the only thing that annoys me with some of my gay friends, is the affect in the voice, it's not genuine.  But to each her own.

He could have spent some time training his voice, like a singer. He just didn't have the voice.

During WW2 the base and the surrounding countryside was taken over by the Japanese.

Supposedly, the Japanese Army buried a considerable amount of gold looted from Asia in those mountains.

First off I am proud to say my grandfather served in the Philippines during WWII.  PaperBoy I encourage you to learn more about the war in the Pacific.  I think you will totally change your mind on the subject if you do.  In short the Filipino gorillas were a huge part of the war.  Without their help our advance in the Pacific would have been much more difficult.  Perhaps almost impossible.

For starters they were so good, the Japanese couldn't get a hold of all the Filipino islands.  Also thanks to them, we had the intelligence to free many POW's that were captured by the Japanese.  I could go on with more.

If you are talking about the Huks, General Lansdale (we) hunted them down after WW2 was over.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hukbalahap
QuoteThe Hukbalahap (Filipino: Hukbong Bayan Laban sa mga Hapon, English: The Nation's Army Against the Japanese), or Hukbong Laban sa Hapon (Anti-Japanese Army) was a Communist guerrilla movement formed by the peasant farmers of Central Luzon. They are popularly known simply as "Huks". They were originally formed to fight the Japanese, but extended their fight into a rebellion against the Philippine Government, known as the Hukbalahap Rebellion in 1946. It was finally put down through a series of reforms and military victories by Filipino President Ramon Magsaysay.[1]

The fate of the Huks:
"On one occasion he (General Lansdale) accompanied a unit which captured, killed and decapitated a Huk guerrilla. Seizing the head, Lansdale began to ask it questions, to which, obviously enough, there were no answers. He grew angrier and started slapping the head, until the Filipinos piped up: 'Colonel, Colonel, it is dead. It cannot talk to you.' Lansdale rounded on them: 'No, you stupid son of a bitch! Of course it can't! But it could have, if you hadn't been so fucking stupid as to sever the head from the body!' He threw the head to the ground."
