I once worked for a book company that published some politically incorrect material and some ordinary material.  Naturally, they would seize and destroy the politically incorrect material.  But there was no telling what else they might object to.  They sometimes seized perfectally ordinary, non-poltical books on Norse or Celtic mythology for example.  They once seized a Norse-themed coloring book for kids published by Dover -- almost no words, just pictures for kids to color.  When we asked what books we could and could not ship, they said there was no list, it was up to the discretion of whatever Customs official opened the packages...

At least Germany has a list of banned books so you know what you cannot ship there.

I should have specified that you have to live in whatever country you are living in now.  And you have to give at least approximate percentages.  Also that as this is purely a theoretical question, do not worry about "how."  Assume some sort of instant teleportation where no one is hurt or an alternate reality being made from scratch.  It is just imagining what you think would work best.

I am guessing that you want all of North America to be 100% indigenous (presumably populated by the various groups that were here when Columbus arrived, in about the same percentages).  In this case maybe you would like to pick out the tribe/nation you would most like to be adopted into?

[BTW: Most people pick something close to what they grew up in, unless there was a lot of racial tension in their school, then they adjust their childhood experience.]

I said it was often at least partly genetic.  The doctor had asked about family history, but didn’t explain why.  She was sort of relieved to hear this, since she was afraid it was her fault somehow.  Anyway, he was very open to “talk therapy” and meds and last I heard was doing fine in his job and they are still married.

So… hate to say "horses" when zebras are more interesting, but it could be pretty simple.

The only place I see something “odd,” is in the media coverage.  Why was Jared Loughner immediately (before anyone could know anything) denounced as a Right Wing Extremist, gun loving White Male, while no one has mentioned Holmes race or possible politics?

But when I tell him my printer isn't working with my computer and I need to print something for the kids' school.  Will he look at it?  No.  He is "too busy."  Busy playing the latest Diablo, that is.

Not sure, but it seems quite possible.  I thought she said she previously promoted a "paleolithic diet" but no longer thinks that is good enough and now promotes a "neo-paleolithic diet."  But she did seem to be quite into ice.  She recommended people putting an ice pack between their shoulder blades as a weight loss aid.

Well, there is no accounting for taste!  I cannot stand her voice and she does not seem to know her stuff to me.  Very little concern for privacy (although she will point out obvious scams) and always plugging the latest product regardless of utility (with rare exceptions in the case of total duds).  She is more of a product ho than Noory.

And at least Noory doesn't call himself a "god."  Even Mr. Ego, Rush, only says he is "on loan from God."

Wow, tonight's diet guest is quite Noory-appropriate.  He just recommended people drink 15 glasses of ice water the first thing upon getting up in the morning.  Then he went into something about previously living near the Arctic Circle with a pack of wolves.  I am thinking he might even have said a "tribe" of wolves, but I am probably wrong there.

As I recall last week's diet guy was a pretty sensible "eat less, walk more" type who didn't say anything odd, but was about as interesting as listening to the traffic noise.

This guy also sounds female.  Maybe it is a female, in which case she sounds male.  I am going to the website to check out its photo.

P.S.: The site is down, but the first name is "Nora" so I am guessing female.  That's a slight relief somehow.

So it was clear it was a big earthquake, but without knowing where the epicenter was it was impossible to say how big.  If it was nearby it might not have been that big, but if it was far away it would have been massive.  So I turned on the car radio.  The station I listened to was not there.  I tried all the presets and there were no stations at all.  I decided to just drive home and check out the damage there.  There was no damage there at all except for a little glass vase that fell down and broke, but I could tell there had been some shaking as the 5 gallon vats I had filled with water and chlorine to sterilize bottles for beer making only had about an inch of water in them and the rest was on the kitchen floor.

I tried to find a station on my home battery operated radio, but there was nothing local on at all and the farther away stations were barely coming in and didn't seem to have any special news programing on them.  There was no TV either and all the phone lines were busy.  All my neighbors had the same problem, no one had any idea how big the quake was.

So my radio was useless.  After that I got a shortwave radio from C Crane and another one that could pick up ham broadcasters.  It was werid and annoying to be in a major event and to have no info.

Sorry for the long, mostly OT post!

I am in Silicon Valley and can tell where people work from there insurance cards.  I cannot recall a Cisco employee that was not Indian.   These are the regular employees.  Glad to hear they do SOMETIMES hire non-HB1 visa holders for something.  (But not much.)  Thanks for the info MV!

Yes, same show.  Another George quote went something like, 'Can traits be passed down in a family because of genetics?'  Sorry I haven't re-listened so I may not have the exact quote, but this is close.  I may re-listen.  The guest was interesting and Noory was amazing!  "Amazing" as in: how did he pass Jr. High biology?

To give him the benefit of the doubt, I think he may have been thinking of a family inclination to alcohol abuse, or a family ability to see ghosts or something,  as opposed to eye color... but still.  A "Noory classic" for sure!
