My theory was going off of something being said to Onan privately...

Nah... I got a better theory as to what actually happened...

Maybe he got an epiphany from the 'shrooms and decided to leave voluntarily.  Anything's possible. :)

He struck me as someone who, deep down, wanted to fit in.  But he seemed to go about it in all the wrong ways.  I preferred him somewhat over that jittery guy.

Maybe Onan has enough pull that he can send a message saying "MV, this motherfucker has got to go.  It's either him or me"... but some people don't respond to threats like that well.

I highly doubt Onan would make such a threat.  I think he has enough self-awareness to not make threats like that.  And I'd also doubt MV would honor such a threat unless presented with a lot of evidence.

I'm thinking he can.

All of these assholes who say "back in the day."  Really, they don't have enough gumption to figure out when whatever they're talking about happened?  The 80s, 60s, 30s?  It's another sign of the downfall of education and Western Civilization caused by the Libtards and Right Wing Racists.

Back in the day, a remark like that would make me head out back and cut me a switch.

I love how all the guys without costumes look like stoners/freaks/retards.  And what's with all the buttons, badges, and shit?

What in the hell?

...do these dudes not look along the line of other dudes dressed as... as foxes, I guess, right?... with their little stuffed animals clutched tightly to their furry chests, and just think to themselves... "Holy fucking ballchins! What in the name of shit am I doing right now? What the crap am I dressed as?  Is this a fox costume, or a wolf?  Why the hell am I carrying a My Little Pony around with me?  I'm a forty year old man, for christ's sake!"

"Bitch" is tossed around so casually today that it has lost some of its bite.

On the other hand, I've heard both men and women referred to as "cunts."

Quote from: Robert Ghostwolf's Ghost on June 06, 2014, 08:38:54 PM
On the flip side of that, never refer to a woman who annoys you as a "bitch."  Say "asshole" instead, because it's gender neutral, it has a big impact because nobody expects to hear it in that context, and when you think about it, it's sexist to assume only men can be assholes.

That sucks.  Nothing will piss you off more than a video game.

I am so flippin' annoyed. I have reached 98% completion of a game and cannot finish because it crashes. I'm so pissed. It crashes every single time at the same point and it takes 20 minutes to get to that point. I have tried probably 12 times in the past week. Crash, crash, crash.
It is an older title, so I do not think the developer supports it any longer, but I sent an email to support anyway, dammit.

He runs a UFO cult and charges people thousands of dollars to see "loving light beings," which bear a stunning resemblance to ordinary moths.

That goofy movie he made is about a hydrocephallic cadaver some people think is the body of an alien.

Quote from: Jackstar on June 05, 2014, 03:16:39 PM
Tell me again, what Greer is supposedly conning people out of? Doesn't he run that expensive bed & breakfast with the disco ball and the cobalt laser?

What's wrong with that? A man is entitled to run an expensive, shitty hotel--just ask Disney. On the other hand, Reed (was) is claiming he (had) has forensic evidence, that he (didn't) doesn't. That seems a whole other quantum level of fraudulent.

No, but I've laughed at members of the last two.

Looks like I'm not banned, thanks MV. I'll be more sensitive about future posting, and leave the legalese at the bellgab door, aside from the factual elements of my story.
If you guys really thought I was threatening to sue, that was not the case. I simply suggested a disclaimer for good measure. It's all going to be ok. I never threatened legal action against Art or the network.
About the 3 guards, they just forced me to the ground. My intuition (obviously mistaken) was not tuned to perceive a threat. I just wanted to leave with the bike I parked, and walked away from voluntarily. Just like the one guard was telling me to. But if he would have known I had only asked about the sign, and what the guard I asked said was just an explanation... not an enforcement communication, he would never have ordered me away.
The whole thing stems from that moment of unclear understanding. Once I was on the ground they found a way to make sure I never got a day in court, the 4 of 5 dates 6/24/70 instead of 6/24/97. One or two, maybe an accident, but 4?
Fidgetland is an unsanctioned source, a knockoff modified with rubberbands. His loops of chain and stuff don't hold a candle to my work. Get them while they last. The kid from greatergoods was news to me too. And the video, I yanked it because ya'll were coming after me with pitchforks & torches.
Lovely Wikipedia says: "Mens rea" is Latin for "guilty mind".[1] In criminal law, it is viewed as one of the necessary elements of some crimes. The standard common law test of criminal liability is usually expressed in the Latin phrase, actus non facit reum nisi mens sit rea, which means "the act is not culpable unless the mind is guilty".
I had no guilty mind, I did everything I could at the time. I don't need you to believe it, the City of Santa Cruz Citizen's Police Review Board sustained my complaint unanimously, and the Chief of police reversed his initial appraisal. The one he made just a day or two after my arraignment should have been, weeks before I called Art. On the file it shows he signed for it then, and then it was gone for 2 years. No report, no statements of the guards, none of my four witnesses were even talked to for 2+ years. That made my life inexplicable.
The system went off the rails, and being in the caboose, it has taken me a long time to climb up out of the wreckage, and try to point out why it did.

I think Reed was actually the very second guest.  We got Reed and Greer back to back.  I was none too thrilled either.

Reed is more entertaining, mainly because he's not as systematic a con artist as Greer is.  I agree that Art should've started with all fresh guests, since those dead horses from the 90s have already been flogged to death by the Noortard.
