Was this written with the sole intention to raise my blood pressure?

Don't most mini-series just end up turning into pulpy romance novels, no matter what they were supposed to be about?

Only if Richard Chamberlain is in it.
(Oh, crap, I just outed myself.)  :P

I'm a big fan of smart ass, sarcasm, and smarm.  And, drone, sometimes I appreciate that you're all three.  But a lot of the time I think you are just plain mean.  Not to suggest that you change.  You are what you are.
I only made it about halfway through the first episode.  And, you're right - I really have no desire to listen to any more.  If that makes me an "average chick" I guess that's what I am.
Good Luck and all that, but.... :-\

Who knew Charlie OR Jill had such great comic timing??

I get the same wide-eyed "Whaaa?" every time I bring it up in conversation.

Even if there was any dirt to dish, a true cocksman wouldn't tell.
Sooo... less than nothing, sorry.

I miss the days when men showed off their asses by pulling up their pants.

I haven't watched professional basketball since they started wearing culottes.   ::)

Finally saw 'Equalizer'... Denzel is just so damn perfect. It reminded me a bit of 'Man On Fire' which is my favorite Denzel and Tony Scott film.

Chine!!   :)   Stay a while, young lady!!

Can't go wrong with Denzel.  The Pelican Brief, The Bone Collector, and (my very favorite) Fallen.
I've been binge watching Longmire today.  I like it.

Catsmile; one of the (very few) weirdos here I have yet to figure out.

Oh, I don't know.  Pretty much the perfect example of "vicious, but lovable," if you ask me.   ::)

I don't think I have ever scrolled past one of Casmile's posts.   :)

Watched 2 Bette Davis films:
Dead Ringer
The Nanny

Any Bette Davis film is OK with me.  Kate Hepburn, too.
I check out the $5 DVD bin at Walmart once a week.  The youngster in charge of the Electronics Department has no concept of what a classic movie is.  I've picked up a bunch of "Oldie but Goodie" discs there.   :)

I recall from my days as a civilian in law enforcement a call to dispatch from a young woman (sorority girl) who had been pleasuring herself with an egg-beater(!) and got it stuck; she requested female EMT's be dispatched to her home.  I am totally going to now steal Redacted's raised Spock eyebrows "Fascinating!" thingy....

You could but you're wrong.

I knew a guy who worked as a dispatcher for over 30 years.  I believe ANYTHING anyone says about callers.
Except maybe West's eyebrow thingy won't be as perfect as (Red)'s. 8)

Coming Home 1978
Anybody else see this or remember it?

I remember that one very well.  I think I would've preferred either Jessica Lange or (yes) Farrah Fawcett instead of Jane Fonda.  But I was married to a Vietnam Veteran at the time and that may have colored my opinion.  Unfortunately, it still colors my opinion.  My first vision when I hear her name is that ~~delightful~~ picture.  Well, never mind.
I just remember being extremely emotionally burned out by the end.  I thought Bruce Dern was excellent.  But I don't really want to ever see that movie again.

Aww, Yorkie, you're a real sweetie. Wouldn't that be fun? A bunch of Gabbers getting together to ring in the new year! On the other hand, it could lead to a riotous brawl that gets us all thrown in the hoosegow! Hope you and yours have a very Happy New Year with plenty of good food and drink! For us Bellgabbers, I hope 2015 is a year of healing and good opportunities for all in need. One thing for certain...George will keep us entertained. :) Happy New Year to George, too!

Count me in. Sounds like fun.   ;)
You know a friend is someone who will come and bail you out of jail.  A really good friend is someone who's next to you in the cell saying "What happened?"

Went to see Into the Woods last night.

Um, was very disappointed.  But Meryl Streep did kick some major ass.

My mom made it to Christmas also.  :)  (She spent the day last Friday in the ER-nothing found, sent her home.) hmmmm

We all got together and ate lots of good food.  We no longer make a big meal, we all just bring something festive.  Seemed to be less left over this year.  And not because there was less to begin with!   ;)

Only the kids get "wrapped" presents.  The geezers get a kick out of watching them.  Good times.  :)

Great idea! West of the Rockies gives thought and effort to his posts and I don't think I've ever seen him be rude to anyone. It's good to give credit to one of the nice guys once in awhile.
Join in often, West.  :)
