You will also need to write a dissertation acknowledging your white cis male heteroprivelege.

Yes, my sin requires that. And then read it before a poetry slam audience armed with rotten vegetables.

Sick dogwhistle racism, bro.  Wait, that's too blatant to be a dogwhistle.

That will be 4 viewings of "Roots" and 50 episodes of Oprah as my penance.

Eddy- you're a buzzkill, but I think you right about this.

I do have a tattoo of a skunk in the garden...

I'd never be happier than to be dead wrong on this. If I prayed, I'd pray that I'm wrong.

It depends on whether you consider Hitchens as being of the left in his final years. The left certainly saw him as an apostate, and he was very chummy with people life Wolfowitz and was very keen on the War on Terror. His brother Peter, very right-wing, was very anti-war. It gets very confusing when you see all of this as a right-left thing.

One of the reasons I admired Hitchens writings and persona was that melange of his Leftist background and drift into neo-connery, where he managed to fluster Chomsky/Said, but aggravate his new found rightist audience by lamenting the fall of Allende, etc.

Brilliant! I'd love to see this happen.  :)

In a perfect world, or even slightly above average one, it could happen. Reality tells me otherwise though and things will get shittier.

I' just assumed it was a player on his team that made the comment.  Turns out it was a fan

He really ought to focus on playing football, and not worry about what the fans are doing

Mike McCarthy didn't seem thrilled being asked about it, either. Saying it immediately after loss indicates Rodgers tone deafness.

Rodgers lifetime record outside GB is 30-29. He ain't Brady.

We both know why. It has nothing to do with getting an education and everything to do with "fuck whitey". These colleges are becoming real life Death Camps of Tolerance.

Absolutely. You know what these protesting fucks got on the SAT? Barbecue sauce. Useless. I hope these schools go broke, lose accreditation and get bulldozed to make a golf course or landfill.

I'm afraid that this is only the beginning. If they can take over and "rebrand" this event- they'll do it with everything else. Isn't that how the early Christians manipulated conversion of the Pagans- by taking over their religious celebrations and repackaging them as Christian holy days? In this case they're doing it with secular events and customs. They'll get around to the religious elements in due time.

Parents hold the answer, not the pusillanimous geldings that constitute practically every administration. Stop sending kids to these Frankfurt Schools that serve as re-education camps. Let them rely on their "minority" body to keep the school running financially. After 2 years, these administrations would be asking Bob Jones University for advice.

Dartmouth Students Demand Black Lives Matter-Themed Winter Carnival

http://dailycaller.com/2015/11/18/dartmouth-students-demand-black-lives-matter-themed-winter-carnival/

Why don't these convicted felons of the future just go to BLACK colleges? They can have Tupac Tuesday, Fridays Friday and all the other frivolous folderol they master. The termites of education from pre-K to post-Grad. Teaching is about as fun as following a dyspeptic elephant with a pail and shovel.

I hope 4 feet of "the white stuff" falls on the day of Kwanzaa-fest.

Good idea. Get rid out the students paying tuition, while keeping the two-legged ticks who don't even pay for a pencil.

Why my kid is going to trade school.

I wouldn't read too much into that. Turkish football fans are notoriously demented and expecting a moment of respectful silence from that lot was always going to be too much to expect. They pride themselves on being as hostile to opposition teams as possible, holding up signs with "welcome to Hell" and so on.

We've mentioned this before, but if asshole-itis is to be found a sporting event would be a great place to start. Euro Football in particular.

  America's understanding of Sunni/Shia.

Sunni: The girl Woody Allen was banging.

Shia: That douche from The Transformers.

I think Ireland was the only member of the British Commonwealth that did not declare war on the Axis.  Probably comes as no surprise the Irish were anti-British, but not necessarily pro-German in WWII.  They became more pro Allies after the US got in the war, however.  To me the most interesting aspect of WWII for the Irish was their refusal to allow the Brits use of the "treaty ports" in western Ireland by the RN for escorts during the Battle of the Atlantic.

Clair Wills had a pretty decent book in 2007 about Ireland's neutrality. I think de Valera's "Sorry for your loss, Germany" after Hitler's death was a PR disaster.

The Panda's will be shorter, and worse

Ironically, there's talk that Ortiz's pending retirement could lead to Chubby Panda being DH in 2017. BTW, his season ended so badly in Boston any talk of 2017 seems overoptimistic. Management benched him in September as he GAINED pounds during our hot summer. What a slug.

I was thinking about the swift boat commercials... What was actually said in them? Were they accurate? I really didn't pay attention at the time...

I meant McCain, but Kerry was hardly beloved either. The ads primarily focused on his Winter Soldier activities of 71-72 and Kerry's own vague statements about his service in Cambodia. One of those cases where both sides seemed mendacious.

Not quite a lightweight, but still a sack of shit is John McCain. Guy left his buddies behind in Vietnam and has been playing the POW card ever since.

Put it this way, when the local Vietnam Memorial Committee would have their luncheons/benefit dinner for Gold Star Mothers, he was not spoken of in reverence.

What happened to Joe Biden? Where is he? John Nance Garner is a more visible VP than Biden today.

David Ortiz's farewell tour in 2016 will only be insufferable and nauseating.

Ha!  This is even mentioned in his Wiki write-up.

"From 1984 to 1989, Olmos starred in his biggest role up to that date as the taciturn police Lieutenant Martin Castillo in the television series Miami Vice, opposite Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas. He was awarded a Golden Globe and an Emmy in 1985 for his work in the series. At this time, Olmos also starred in a short training video for the United States Postal Service entitled Was it Worth It?, a video about theft in the workplace."

That's beautiful ;D ;D ;D. I'd say a USPS member did that Wiki edit. There were about 50 of us in the room when the video was shown, and about 90% of us were either laughing or rolling our eyes. In terms of pure belly laughs, watching that silly video was "worth it".

My dog wishes someone would make treats out of ear wax.

Cats are like that too. They're fond of orally raping the ears of drunk people who fall asleep on the couch. Or so I've been told.

So (ha) John Kerry says there is a legitimacy to the Charlie Hedbo murders. He's back in his Vietnam Veterans Against the War days.

Embarrassing himself in public since 1971. He's a joke. Monumental lightweight.

Seems to me, I read he drove on both sides of the street. Also read lots of drug use. So maybe both.

"Charlie's not gay, but he's into trannies" was something I heard on the radio this morning. In that case,I think he and Eddie Murphy should remake the Lethal Weapon franchise. Don't ask what the lethal weapon is.

The thing is, she's academically very very clever. And presumably (to a point) popular in Germany. Apparently quite a tough negotiator, but like all politicos, looking for the best deal for them..Greece anyone?

This time I think; trying to be the 'Samaritan' she's screwed up with the German population and the wider catchment. Having said that, Hungary, Croatia, and Austria haven't come out it well either. Greece and Italy are simply overwhelmed.

I've read that her approval ratings(well, as of summer) were pretty high, over 70% in some polls. Like you say, at what cost? who gets screwed over?

Europe's 9/11 was 3/19/2003. That date should go down in infamy. It's the breaking point, I can't not help but think that toppling Saddam will go down as the geopolitical folly of our times. The world being better with Saddam in power. Jeeezus.

I think her name will be a little muddy among the other European national leaders for some time yet.

I must ask a member of the EU. Is she as unimpressive as she appears? She really seems daft and making decisions on whim.

She'd fit in American politics seamlessly.

Sounds like Merkel will be getting a special thank you from "Syrian refugees" very soon.
