BTW RADEO, your avatar, it has moved me in a familiar and not wholly uncomfortable, yet somewhat disturbing way. All I can hope is that you're not another gnarly dude.  ???

The Ballsy Bitch you direct your comments to, has probably 2 decades in broadcasting. He also has a mild (if I may use that term) form of Aspergers Syndrome. So He may present a bit more direct than you find comfortable. He also is very intelligent and always open to discussion. FYI

Then what's he doing posting in this place?

QuoteBut being here for about 2 weeks as a registered member may not have been enough time to understand the forum culture or the longer term members.

Nice of you to defend Bateman, though. God knows he doesn't really have the vocabulary to speak for himself. I mean, he has to go into different characters to stand up to bullies.

I thought that going into different characters and being/standing up to, a bully was our forum culture?

There is another forum member whom I respect, highly (guaranteed not whom you suspect), and with whom I have communicated with privately, though I will not reveal his identity (he can do so if he wishes - I had previously asked that he keep my agenda a secret between myself and him). Nevertheless, here is a verbatim copy of the message I sent him only yesterday...

The moronic duality, abject hypocrisy, sickening intolerance, and adolescent judgeMENTAL quality of a certain 'gang' of forum stalkers here, who claim all of the opposite while endeavoring to label as such, anyone that disagrees with their dogma, yet who cry when their own stupidity is kicked in their faces, is beyond fascinating, as is the rush by others to critique when their friends are on the receiving end of the very tactics they use.

So, fuck you.

Now, I ask you, is that disingenuous?
Most of my friends are highly eccentric individuals with whom I disagree vehemently, often vociferously, sometimes belligerently with. That's because I'm a highly eccentric individual. If it weren't for these I would not have any friends at all. (And I've been married for long enough to have learned to coexist.).

Having said this, I just don't care what anyone "believes" about religion, politics, or personal lifestyle preferences because I have my own that I don't need anyone to care about. Still, I choose to admire the art of debate for those that enjoy the game. My boys just went target shooting .45s on the back 40 but I chose to hang out with The Mrs and listen to smooth tunes and mellow my Sunday instead. What I 'm saying is that the QK has his sporting interests and I am appreciative of his PMs cuz they've been genuine, hipping me out as to his "agenda", which considering my first paragraph, I appreciate to a certain extent. (and had sparked to myself)  Also, considering I've never seriously been anything other than a dude playing a dude what plays another dude, I think I'm less genuine than anyone here. People who get easily pissed want and need someone like QK. You should appreciate, if not thank people who don't mind sounding like Aholes because it amuses them. (See, that there was sporting words.)

Listened to last week's GabCast this morning. I enjoyed your guys' talk with Falkie. I like him more all the time. Falkie is out there, with less personal borders than most of us, but I love that he's himself- not a dude playing a dude playing another dude- like a lot of jerks around here. I like what he said- BellGab should be fun! I'm going to go have a beer with you soon dude. Maybe on a Monday afternoon, then we could do a Ask Drunk Aldous and Falkie segment.

About your detractors. I would totally copyright karate chop swirly wedgie with their posts is all. Just for fun. Also, have more fun, laugh more, and get laid more often than those mooks, which shouldn't be difficult.

So? It still took until only recently to determine the attackers weren't Al Qaeda. What was this real time video feed supposed to reveal about who was attacking and what their motivations were as it happened? What was a drone supposed to accomplish?
Susan Rice repeated CIA intelligence after an attack on a consulate. The horrors.
There's already been twelve hearings. What's known is a pretty complete picture, which is more complicated than the Republican sound bytes, with blame shared by them as well.
The ghost of Johnny Cochran?

If you are only going to be outraged by vindictive spite, how about Obama fencing off the open air war memorials in DC during the government 'shutdown'.  87% of the federal government was deemed 'essential, but for spite Obama directed those parks to be closed down to out of town aging WWII and other vets who had come to visit them.

That's about as low as it gets, but not a surprise coming from this assclown.

As for Obama and his Daley machine thuggery and Chris Christie and his fecklessness, I wouldn't give you 5c for either of them.

If I HAD to pick, I'd choose the guy whose actions backed up traffic to the guy who is getting people killed, conducting a saturation spy campaign, siccing the IRS on his opponents, ignoring if not exacerbating the lousy economy, and refusing to address his policy that has caused 10s of millions to lose their health care plans.  I guess that makes me a bad person.
Yes this makes you a very bad person. Nearly as bad as me.  Shouldn't you be watching American idle?

You know, it changes. Sometimes it's informative, a waste of time, a comedy buffet, a piss off, or a playground bully match. Sometimes it's a reminder of former posters whose absence casts bittersweet shadows on those remaining.

But in general, this forum is pretty freekin' awesome. And mostly fun.

Can I have my EC back now?
