I used to have one of these - wish I still did.
The rockets and the capsule could be removed and combined.
It was actually pretty neat at about 2 1/2 feet long.

Heh, yeah, it works.
A short fat container gives you more bang for your buck, than a long narrow one - more surface area for the powder to burn.
Water doesn't compress, so yeah, if the blast is too powerful, you'll kill the ecosystem in the blast area, not to mention the fish.
You guys must have been quite surprised at the power of just an M-80. Imagine if you'd have used a 1/4 stick.  :o
I've done some pretty stupid shit in my time too, I think we all have.  ;)

You know, with the right combination of herbs, spices, BBQ sauce (of course) and sugar...
And Mayo.
Don't forget the mayo.

Would you explain CO2 canisters (cartridges?) and fishing?
LOL - I was going to post this before, but didn't.
Okay...
Empty CO2 canisters work great for fishing.
Use a side cutting pliers to chop up a lead sinker in small enough pieces to shove inside the canister.
Fill the canister 2/3 to 3/4 full of black, or white powder. Don't fill it totally full, you want some space so  the powder can expand before the metal reaches its stress fracturing point, and the gas has somewhere to expand to. Douse the cannon fuse with superglue as you are inserting it. Crimp the neck of the canister tightly shut with a pliers or channel lock, but don't pinch it so tightly that you pinch the fuse off. Apply a little more superglue.

Light it, toss it, and collect your dinner.   :)

1. Cannon fuse burns underwater
2. Make sure there is no powder in the neck where you crimp - you only get one mistake.
This is especially important with white powder - it's very friction and impact sensitive.
3. Only do this if the water is at least 8' deep, unless you want to dodge shrapnel.
4. The lead shot in the bottom keeps the canister from floating

Gilbert Chemistry set. 58 years ago I learned to make explosives, smoke bombs, stink bombs, developed basic mind altering drugs before LSD was even known among the hip crowd.  At the tender age of  nine or so I was making a lot of money selling my 'products' at my local school. I owned 3 Schwinn bikes, even bought a nice Pontiac car but could only drive it at night to avoid being stopped by the cops. Life was very good, eventually launched my own business and sold it to Dupont when they made me an offer I could not refuse. (wink, wink)

Wood burning kits and good old fashioned lawn darts. I think I would buy a set if I could find them...

Jarts were great.  :)
They were outlawed because some asshole on the catching team wasn't paying attention, got injured,  sued the manufacturer, and lobbied Congress.    :D

Seriously though, they were fun.

AAAAAaaaand...
This is why you want to turn off auto mount and enable the lock-screen on Doze boxes.
QuoteIs the program easy to install?

The installation process is almost instantaneous, only taking a few seconds to install (depending on your processor power). The installation time will only be increased if Java is not already installed on the target PC and the software has to auto-install Java during the process.

https://www.spyequipmentuk.co.uk/global-pc-spy/

Turn off automount in Doze 7, 8 and 10

When you need to walk away from your computer, LOCK IT
A simple Super Key + L is really quick, but doesn't do you any good ( in an attack like this,) unless automount is turned off.     ;)

Dreamsmasher (hahaha)

Thanks for the detailed and in-depth reply.  I just found your post by accident, have not checked this forum for awhile.

Your last comment is what sold it for me.  I assumed the project as a challenge and a learning experience, but not worthwhile for no gain.  I'll just install the 32 bit version and wash my hands of it.  I've tried running Windows off of a flash drive --  forget it.  Way too slow.

I need one of the laptops for work.  There are no Linux drivers available for the printer that I have at work (sure wish that there were), and I have a few programs that will only run on Windows and no equivalent on Linux (such as access to my iPhone).  The other is going to the daughter of one of my girlfriends.  She's cute as a bug, and smart.  Her mom can't afford a computer for her, and also doesn't want charity, so I'm giving it as a Christmas gift.

I appreciate the help in ushering me to a reasonable solution :)
Yeah, I haven't been around too much lately, either.
I don't know if I mentioned this here or the other place, but you can usually pick up a remanufactured lappy from different Amazon dealers for under a C-note. Just make sure to check their ratings and reviews, and you may have to search for a while. E-Bay might also be worth checking, but Caveat Emptor, there.
https://www.amazon.com/b/ref=s9_acss_bw_h1_uscrsfhd_md2_w?node=17871138011&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-2&pf_rd_r=R635617A0PWGGB7QZDWS&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=03951a67-0ccc-46ef-bd0f-2ce3d206acc5&pf_rd_i=12653393011

Look for business models, as they are usually much more powerful for the price. I picked up a decent 2014 model for a really good price, but the wireless switch bit the dust after about a year. I used the switch constantly, though.  ;)
Black Friday is coming up too, but this is another one where you have to be ware. It takes some due diligence to score a really good deal, as a lot of the sales are companies unloading things that don't sell @ regular prices or other sales - usually something that's crappy or has design flaws  to begin with.

From what I'm seeing, most of the refurbs under $100.00, generally come with 4GB RAM; more than enough to run almost any OS without too much lag - even with lots of browser tabs open.  :)

That's a cool gesture though: Christmas gift.   :)

Hey, check this out:  https://haydenjames.io/finding-linux-compatible-printers/

Yeah, cups can be a PITA and connectivity depends more on the OS flavor of Linux you are using than the drivers. BUT, it looks like the newer Distros handle it much better.
https://www.linux.com/tutorials/how-manage-printers-linux/

I also found a pretty good rundown for 2019 distros based on use case.
https://fossbytes.com/best-linux-distros-choosing-guide/

Windoze on a flash drive, really does depend on the port speed.
USB 2 vs USB 3 - both the port and the drive -  makes a hell of a speed difference.

As far as the IPhone - syncing can be done, but it DOES require WINE.  :(
Here are a couple of tutorials if you want to give it a shot.

What the hell am I saying ? ? ?  :o
This is Linux - There's always more than one way to skin a cat.   ;)
Take a look here: https://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/linux-iphone-6s-ios-11.html
...and No Wine Required !       :)

Merry Christmas.   ;)

I love my BaoFeng radios, we use them to screw with WalMart and Target, raise hell with the local cop shop on weekends, had a blast messing with Jack in the Box last week. Figured out their multi frequency system and had people in their cars screaming at the clown! The best part is the price, less than $25 for a 5 watt dual band radio that is wide open!

Ok, I lied, I don't do any of that stuff. It's illegal and the FCC will triangulate your position, record and come knocking at your door. They did it to my neighbor's kid. 13 years old and the sheriff took him away in handcuffs. No shit, it happens! I took cell phone video but I'm afraid to post it for fear they will implicate me. People disappear in my county, bunch of backwood hillbillies, County Sheriff's is 'Skeeter' Rawlings, his brother 'Jeep'  is one ball short of a complete rack if you know what I mean.

The letter deciphered as ' P ' that appears 5994 times according to the count - that number reduces to a 9 BTW -  was prominently featured in the movie  ' Doctor Strange ' , that was just on recently. I recognized it immediately on the page that was ripped out of the spellbook in the opening scenes.
Interesting, no ?

https://www.wakingtimes.com/2019/11/21/while-all-eyes-were-on-impeachment-hearing-the-us-house-re-authorized-the-patriot-act/

The impeachment farce is nothing more than a distraction for what's really going on.

QuoteEven the creators of the PATRIOT Act didn’t expect the post-9/11 police state to last forever, and included a ‘sunset provision’ that would have allowed the bill to expire â€" to die a natural death, legislatively-speaking â€" when it has outlived its usefulness. Yet Congress has kept the program on life support for years, with bipartisan support.

The Ministry of Truth serves the Cabal well.

I always had the most fun with a full can of gunpowder.  Whenever I had one of those the day was full of possibilities;  gunpowder trails, explosive rocket payloads, pipe bombs.  To think now I would be labeled a terrorist.
Gunpowder was fun, but remember the old chemistry sets ?
I got one when I was around 7 y.o. .
It came in a metal box and had all the goodies; acids in liquid and powder form, chlorates (make your own white powder w/ a little table sugar), nitrates, and nitrites, sulfer and flowers of sulfer, a balance scale, and quite the assortment of reagent grade chemicals. I don't remember the manufacturer, but I had the deluxe kit, which was quite expensive at the time.
I do believe there was even some white phosphorus in the kit I had.
Oodles of fun.
Kids just don't know what they're missing, today.

Best toy ever!
You bet you ass !  ;D

I checked into the new ones, and they are nothing but flimsy, cheap Chinese knock-offs that will never hold the pressure we used to put to the originals. These things would launch so high, they would disappear from your field of vision.
The old ones were built tough.
