In response to the discrepancy of a previous interview I did on Open Minds Radio...
The interview I did back in 2013 for Open Minds states that I did not have the "quintessential" sighting as most people interested in researching this topic have had. This was a complete mistake on my part, and I contacted Open Minds in response to this. Knowing full-well that I said such during that interview, I did contact Alejandro of Open Minds to tell him that I was not ready to speak publicly about my sighting, as I was trying to separate myself from the biased opinion I may have had on the material I was covering. It was, in essence, perhaps the wrong way to go about talking about my connection to the topic, and I have since made it a priority to fully admit that I have had my own personal experience with this phenomenon.
I knew full-well after talking about my sighting on several radio shows that I mis-spoke on the Open Minds interview, and that people would question me on it. My only answer is that I was not ready to talk about it. And by saying I never had the sighting, it was my first mistake, and certainly in this field of study, I assume it won't be my last, in the sense of keeping something to myself that should have responsibly been made public to the listenership. My mentor in this topic once told me that you have to admit when you are wrong, and in saying I didn't have a sighting, I knew that I was wrong in doing such, and am making every stride to correct that.
I am not trying to boost my origin story, or sensationalize my connection to this topic. I have no stake in the UFO field, expect for trying to find answers just like everyone else. If my words from a previous interview have made you think differently of me, I completely understand. But I assure you that I had this sighting, and if anything, I felt, at the time, that by coming forward with it, that it would only hurt my credibility. Now, I know that it has in fact done the complete opposite.
My sighting in 1995 has led me to continue researching this topic, and while I am no expert, nor do I pretend to be, I hope that I can move forward and contribute to this topic of study in the most serious and credible of ways.
