I didn't hear it. So what happened?

There is an AM station around here that moved everybody's favorite overnight host to mornings and really seemed to be going through some turmoil finding a replacement for him. They had like ten different people do shows as like auditions, and the poor weekend guy was filling in all the time until they finally settled on somebody. Maybe Premere is trying to avoid that kind of thing and just hanging onto him until someone reliable who has talent emerges. Or maybe they don't mind him. Or maybe somebody owes him a favor. Who knows. He's probably got a really solid contract and they couldn't shake him loose if they wanted to without paying him off bigtime. And since the American public is George's extended family, I think it would take a lot to buy him off.

I lived in the southwest for a little while and dated a guy who had been in jail. He apparently was only in there for like two weeks at the most. He always seemed proud to tell people he'd been in jail, and every once in a while he'd be like swapping stories with some other random person about jailtime. you know what, I trust the military a lot more than I trust those people in Washington. If they want to impose martial law, I say go for it. At least then we'd know it was being enforced. Screw them and their threats.

I wish the media had given better coverage to Nader over the years. I really admire him, and apparently so do a lot of other people. I just learned about him from that documentary on NetFlix I watched. All I knew was he was running for president, and that he got the Corvair taken off the market. If anybody wants to see somebody who should be in the Whitehouse, you should listen to Ralph Nader.

As far as this clip, I really don't know what to say. I'm not clear on what Marshall Law is exactly, but I think I'm going to look it up right now. It sounds like anarchy, to me. Why would Olver say that? Does this imply that the Bush administration had a backup plan in case he was impeached? Or rather, in case the suggestion was brought before Congress that he should be impeached?

Ironically, a lot of punk doesn't do much for me either. It isn't particularly bad, and as say, background music, it would be fine, but it doesn't move me. And on the other hand, a lot of people don't even consider the Ramones punk. Maybe the consensus has changed, but I've heard more than one person say that. I think they're crazy.

you're kiddding!? Wow. I hadn't heard that. I'm glad to hear it, though; that guy was messed up. I hope he found some solace somewhere. I once went on a date with a guy who saw him play at a club near here, and he thought G.G. was raping some girl, but apparenly that was  just part of the show. But this guy didn't know that and proceeded to kick his ass.

I used to know a guy who worked for the Ramones, and then for Marky, and he's friends with their drummer, as I recall. I have them as a friend on MySpace. I'll have to check them out more. You're not the first person I've heard list them as a favorite.
