Was listening in the car on the way home and had a bit of interference, but I swear I heard Quayle say Antarctica was as big as North America and Mexico combined.  Has Noory been tutoring him on geography?

That was borderline surreal.  Corsi has always been fairly transparent regarding his ideological allegiances, but he normally comes across in a rational fashion- even if he was overly optimistic about the election results being nullified.  But he was off his rocker tonight.

That was followed by Howard Bloom's latest doomsday report on Covid-19.  I nominate him as the new Doctor Doom.

Has Peter Davenport gone the way of LMH?  Kevin Randle did the short UFO report tonight, and it wasn't a list of reported cases.  Noory said Randle would be back next Thursday for the next report.  No mention of why Davenport was absent that I heard.

George asked the guest how Queen competed against The Beatles.  This interview has gone as expected.

Ian isn't into all these conspiracies...

Not at all.  If the guest wasn't 97 (Ian upped it by one when he mentioned age the second time) and hadn't agreed at the last minute to come on, I'm sure Ian would have gotten rid of him.

96 year old Paul Hellyer is keeping Ian quiet for longer than I ever remember.  It started with the Nazi base in Antarctica.

Knapp tells the callers early on to bring their A game for open lines, which he has done before.  After Annie, Corny, Barry, Cleopatra, and Millennial Mike get through I think Good George will probably tell Tom to cue up Noory's pre-recorded crap and crash Vegas' best turkey sandwich spot.

Will she post pics of her tits?  I'm a visual learner.

Ha.  Novel idea, but she'd probably tear a rotator cuff unhinging her bra and go back on IR for a couple years.

Amy on the Radio makes its glorious return Wednesday August 12th at 8 PM Eastern, or so the schedule goes.  It precedes Tim Weisberg's show on midnight.fm.  This assumes one of innumerable minor incidents doesn't hijack her career yet again.  As albrecht has mentioned, internet "radio" hosting is fraught with peril.

Snorge getting an early start on a three day weekend, after an exhausting week of sleeping behind the microphone.

Gordon from Plant City (FL), the student loan forgiveness guy, is rather annoying.

That picture of George makes him a sympathetic figure to me in some ways.  Seems to be a face devoid of any real joy or passion, which serves as the visual equivalent of his show.  He has always come across as a decent enough guy.  But his hosting leaves a bit to be desired, to say the least.

I've been listening to some of Art's MITD shows the past few days.  Night and day, night and day.

Plus an early bailout on Friday opportunity for Jorch to play either a "classic" Nooron Poe reading or a lame "old lady beating a guy" routine.  With a UFO Phil rotten cherry on top of Jorch's hasty dump before he hits the exit.

Yep.  Leave it to Noory to somehow manage to replace his live presence with something worse.  That's a Herculean feat  he routinely pulls off

Ian would at least have read the book.

I love it when George says a book is great.  Just once l'd like to hear the guest respond "Why thank you.  What was your favorite chapter?"

Too bad Ian isn't doing this interview.

It only gets worse from here.  Noory is hosting tomorrow night and Sunday.  And Lisa Garr does the honors Saturday.  I guess that's akin to a radio possession.

George being a complete dick about it. The guest has said his name begins with R. “So it could be Robert?” Says Noory, “It could be.”
The guest has allowed himself to be pushed further than he should, revealing he worked at NASA.
Back comes Noory later. “So it could be Richard, or Reginald.....” like your annoying 8 year old nephew. Yes, Joorch, or any other name beginning with R. Really being annoying, not to say unprofessional.

He really got irritating after this past break.  "If I got the name right, would you tell me?", or something to that effect.  The guest had an effective retort, "Can I give out your home address?"

Edit: NoMoreNoory beat me to the punch, and summarized it better to boot.

George doing his best to get the guest to reveal the Identity of the boy who famously received the excorcism in St. Louis - who according to the guest is still alive

It would have been the usual suck fest with Snorge, with the stock questions, like "how many chapters in the book" and "how did you get into <fill in the blank>".  He might have gotten really deep and asked "were there a lot of trees on the island?  ::)

;D

The prepared questions would have been exhausted in short order no doubt.  The more I think about it, perhaps that's why the split-show format is entrenched.  Between his stock questions and of course the second hour callers to run out the clock, Noory is spared the burden of actual show prep.

Ha.  I was thinking to myself what it would have been like to have Noory host the show.  Lots of googling no doubt, leading to areas of questioning the guest had just discussed.  Of course the guest would only have been on a couple hours instead of three.

It's pretty obvious where his political allegiances lie, but he's still a pretty good host in my view.  As Jojo alluded to, he needs to get to his point or question without all the unnecessary verbal meandering.  And I do wish he'd tackle the occasional paranormal topic.  I know he did a show on the Enfield case some months back, which is quite honestly the only time I remember his show featuring such a topic.

Ian started with Good Evening, Mr. and Mrs. America.  Oh my goodness, how pompous, grandiose, exclusive, and pandering.  And what about listeners who aren't married or are gay!  Sheesh.  Can't stand his shows.  Off within the first 5 minutes.

Please tell me you're trolling us.

Been a fan of the big three sports since the time I was eight or so, and of the three major sports leagues in particular.  I have lost some passion as I've aged, especially for basketball and to a lesser extent baseball.  They all seem to be doing their level best to drive me away permanently.

THE JAMES STRANG TALE
In 1843, James Strang, a lawyer and atheist, converted to Mormonism. In the wake of the murder of the sect's leader, Joseph Smith, Strang unveiled a letter purportedly from the prophet naming him successor, and persuaded hundreds of converts to follow him to an island in Lake Michigan, where he declared himself a divine king. Joining Ian Punnett (Twitter), journalist Miles Harvey unveils this fascinating but forgotten story and gives us an account of one of the country's boldest con men. In the first hour, UFO investigator Kevin Randle will comment on recent news of the Pentagon's knowledge of 'vehicles not made on this Earth.'

Sounds like a pretty good show tonight.

George Noory: "Who built the land bridges?" (real quote)

One of the funniest lines I've seen on this forum.  From the "History According to George" thread

The festival rules forbade weapons I believe.  Your second point is essentially rock solid.  A sniper is practically impossible to defend against, especially for a large crowd.

Don't remember the guest saying "always", just that the vast majority of shootings occur in such places.  Also, pretty sure Mandalay Bay does (and did) have a policy against bringing guns onto its premises.

Is there any thought to bring back a listener line?  Also, can you do some paranormal topics?
