Update: the "listen live" link on artbelllegacy.com now redirects to Late Night in the Midlands.

I guess that answers the UPRN question.

I guarantee this has already happened. I remember seeing posts on her facebook a while back asking if people should re-subscribe to (the actual) MITD.
Haha I hope someone went through and told them yes. They will get a better listening experience doing that, anyway.  :P

I'm just not quite sure why she is going on LNM. Is she switching stations? Is she promoting her show on UPRN? Is she coming out with a book?

She'll take the opportunity to gather sympathy for how she was wronged by Keith for sure. At some point the victim routine has to end.

Idk, seems odd to me.

Your guess is as good as mine. I think she shook off some followers by overplaying the sympathy card. I think the rest of them are probably lost causes.

Zero communication. Multiple possible networks. Two shows with the same name. Appearing on different shows at random dates with differing air times. All of these things will confuse her elderly fan base.

It might help MitD's numbers because that's the one that's established. So they might go there thinking it's her show.  :P

It might also be revealed if she's stopped the crying on cue too. But she'll no doubt still insist it isn't about her. Or ever was. And never shall be.

It never was about her. Never. It's all about Art Bell's legacy... Did we mention that she's Art Bell's legacy?

Having listened to him once a month over the last three years...  It could get ugly.  If not during, afterward.

He can get confrontational.  He has talked about off-air interactions with an incredible vitriol.

Heater Wad better play nice.

History says she won't. So it sounds like it will be worth tuning in tonight. ;D

I notice that most of her followers aren't asking what happened to her broadcasting on Joe's network. It's almost as if that interview never happened in their world.

Ok, I stand corrected. Sparky (human, not a dog), in the second screenshot is asking for info on listening on UPRN. Wouldn't most shows have this info already out there by now?

Michael Vara isn't quite what you'd call well-read and he's definitely got a relaxant issue (or lazy tongue). He's a more southern George Noory. At times, he's better than George with the interviews as he stays  away from the stupid interjections("So, would they bleed to death if they lost too much blood?") but certainly doesn't bring anything to the table that would get him on C2C's list of fill-in regulars.

He is exponentially better than Heather and I don't see her being to handle that.

He accused Keith of being illiterate, if I remember correctly.

I'll listen to that file later, I probably heard it ages ago...  Something was circulating on BG back then.

The big question is: will he allow her to commandeer the show and dictate which calls are taken, etc.? Will he sit back and take it when she stops the interview to answer a personal phone call or talks over him? Will he be a pushover or will he explode on her when she starts her bullshit? :o

Bitch can't even get Vara's name right in her Facebook post. What a ding dong.

Haha you're right!
I also love how one guy gets a security warning when he clicks the Late Night in the Midlands link. All of this sideline stupidity surrounding HW seems so... appropriate.

Attached is the audio file from Vara's network. Keith cut him off about 3/4 of the way through if I remember correctly.

Isn't Vara the one who lost his shit on air and did some mega meltdown and Keith fired him? Not asking for a friend asking for my own damned self. LOL. I sort of remember the rant and the audio links in the thread no longer work. Anyone have a copy of it? Wasn't he also drunk?

If you find the audio, please share. I had no idea about that. Do you remember what the meltdown was about?
Somehow, it seems fitting that Heather would try to align herself with these half-wits.

Also seems like she has made one “sound” decision - UPRN and Joe are shite and it would be a huge disaster for her to be on there (not counting the huge disaster it’s all going to be anyway).

Well done Heater - you made a grown up decision!

I think that might be a mutual thing after how she behaved on Joe's show. Both sides made it a complete train wreck. I mean, who takes a personal phone call in the middle of an interview? Certainly not a radio professional (and I'm sure Art Bell didn't teach her to do that).

I wonder if this new host is capable of starting the show without overlapping audio. I also wonder if she will take more personal calls and if she will allow the host to actually do his job this time. Does anyone know if there will be open lines?

I am not a fan of some of my immediate neighbors and I take my garbage out like a Klopek. I beat it with a stick. I think I have weirded them out to the max because they avoid eye contact now and that is good. One is now moving out. Still need to work on the other neighbor and make him move ASAP.

What would Heather have to do or say, or what guests would she have to bring on in her first week to compel you to sign up with her?

She would have to bring in a guest host.

Do Paul and Ella know they are famous now?

I don't think they are aware of most things.

Haha.
I haven't listened in forever, does Heather ask her listeners to send her things (and how bad is it when you are begging for socks) or do listeners like Paul&Ella just send her stuff on their own volition? Steam-presses, socks, dead dog dvds, whatever vampire orbs pumpkin things, etc- such odd choices to send a person, especially a 'radio' host that you don't even know.

I get the impression most of it was Paul and Ella randomly sending her stuff unless they are having private convos we can't see. That would be weird because most of what they post sounds like something you would send as a private discussion, but it's posted publicly. I just assumed they either didn't know how or didn't want to send private messages. lol

Yes, they did. I'm still not sure if they bought some kind of embroidered socks or if the sock package said "Heather," as in the sort of color, and Paul&Ella thought it was some kind of "sign" and so sent them to Heather?

I imagine they found some socks in a dark alley that had the name "Heather" written on them in fading black Sharpie.

I'm going to dinner with friends tonight and I have told them about bellgab and every time I start talking about it IRL I'm like I sound crazy, don't I? Last time they were like but Art's dead, what now? I can't wait to tell them about Paul & Ella.

I couldn't imagine trying to explain this to anyone who isn't in the Bellgab know. I introduced my husband a long, long while back. He knows my eccentricities and quirks, and even then it was still rough. lol

I wonder if there is enough material for a "Paul and Ella" thread itself? I, for one, would like updates because they are classic and bizarre. And hard to understand what they mean in some of their posts.

There might be. What it lacks in quantity it makes up in weirdness. And they still seem to be going strong for Heather. If she really does come back on Monday, then that may give them more reason to pee the dog and tell the internet about it.  ;D

EDIT: By "it" I mean the unknown entity that is Paul and Ella.  :o
