That sounds awesome.  I wonder if the guy was off his meds?

On January 22, 2011, Ian interviewed author Will Elliot, who had just written a book about his experience of coping with schizophrenia.  The guest acknowledged having written the book, but then immediately said that he no longer believed that he ever had a correct diagnosis.  He went on to explain in detail about how we all live in a false Matrix-like reality and that he had eventually seen enough cracks in the illusion to be sure that they really are out to get him!

Ian's reaction was great; he was almost speechless for a bit and had to clarify repeatedly that the guest now believed he was never ill.

Ian thought was going to be discussing the serious topic of living with a mental illness, but ended up hosting an exhibition of it!

Agreed.  The guy on the left is likely a farmer who's a bit overly fond of his sheep, if you catch my drift, and the kid in the middle is likely one of George's unfortunate grand kids.

I'm willing to bet a quarter that the woman on the right has seen angels, has a cat named George, and is anxiously counting the hours until Lisa Garr's next show.

HTC One (M8) for Windows officially announced, available today on Verizon

well thats one way to ruin a perfectly good phone.

Agreed.  Really a sad waste of hardware.

Your denial of your issues and lack of self-awareness are astounding.

How about you "clear thinker," with a demeanor I still find to be replete with shortcomings... which categories of propaganda would you guess would be most descriptive of your "negative stance," Bueller?

I know, but you need to learn how to keep your "cerebral train" on the tracks yourself.

I'm sure he attracts certain types of women, such as new age loons, cat hoarders, the delusional, and those with nothing better to do than stay up late and listen to his voice.  There are certain women out there who will flock to men who have any sort of fame.  Even local cookie-cutter radio guys sometimes have groupies.

I hope his show isn't shit and you are here to trick people into shit.

Also close to Douche.  But I won't prejudge; the General is wise.

Auto playing ads are even worse.  Especially when a page has more than one and they start simultaneously.

but that doesn't make it healthy. In some cases like polycystic ovarian disease or metabolic disorders, yes, obesity is part of the disease but it's hard to believe someone can't lose weight eating between 1200 - 1800 calories a day.

Eating is supposed to be fun (it activates the pleasure centers of the brain), but our culture has gone WAY too far in promoting shiny edible things as a substitute for companionship, success, sex, and as a way of managing stress.  That and people always want to have their problems fixed without having to change their behavior.

Excuse me while I return to my 40-pack of Totino's pizza rolls.

I was on Wellbutrin for several years myself. Whatever works.  I'm off it now.

One thing I've always resented, though,is the moral equivalence game lumping in prescription drugs with recreational drugs.  I've noticed most of the people who do it have alcohol or illicit drug problems that are threatening their day-to-day functioning.

What I find obnoxious are certain people out there who think that herbs and "natural remedies" are somehow the cure to everything and look down on those of us who either choose to take synthetic drugs because they are more appropriate or because we have no other option.

Hi; long-time lurker here, but I have a question that's been driving me nuts.     Art had a guest on once who was sort of an anti Caesar Malan (sp?).    He spoke at length about how evil animals were, how they could and would turn on their human at the drop of a hat.....etc.

Does anybody remember who this fellow was or which AB show he graced?

Was that the guy with all the stories about animals attacking humans (bears ripping campers apart, etc.)?  I really hated that guy, mostly because he obviously was getting off on retelling those gruesome tales.  I'd rather listen to a 6-hour Noory marathon than hear that fucker again.

What to do get from holding onto this?  Because you certainly do get some benefit.

Attention?  Sympathy?  An excuse to luxuriate in self pity, or to simply give up and not do anything?

I think it's about extending his 15 minutes of fame by retelling the story ad nauseum, changing it at whim to make it more it more interesting and somehow "new."  It's also a rationalization for the mental problems which prevent him from getting much done.

They don't even want to hear from you on the gab cast.

There's no talking to this guy.  He's a delusional narcissist, and no matter what anyone tells him, he'll continue to obsess over his mostly imaginary "story" until they stick him in a box.

Thankfully Savage didnt weigh in on Robin Williams last night. I was afraid he might make some of the same kind of cruel remarks he did when Heath Ledger died.

I remember him calling BS when RW checked back into rehab a while back while denying that he had relapsed.

Noory is so ripped in that second picture.  That p90x sure is amazing.

Noory was up at that Joshua Tree paranormal conference event all weekend, so he got tired out.
He needed to sleep all day and night Monday after that...

Jimmy Church was up there all weekend as well and broadcast live there Friday night for his Fade to Black show.
He met George Noory on Saturday and took a couple photos with him there:

Coulter, Hannity and Limbaugh are all guilty of "trolling" what's left of our democracy.  They further their own careers by inserting themselves into the public discourse through scandal and controversy.  And in the process they polarize conflicting perspectives to the point where people can't even have discussion about issues.

Perfect description of the Rearend Jesse Jackass and "Weird Al" Sharpton.
