A few months ago I was contacted by the sons of a dying father who was then in hospice loosing his battle with cancer, basically he, Bob was winding down and waiting to die. The son who contacted me explained the situation to me and then went on to ask me if they (the three sons) could come in to my studio and record a few songs that their dad use to play for them when they were kids. The son who contacted me was a "crappy beginner of a drummer" <-his words, and he was right. The other two brothers played a little guitar and that was it. Speeding up the story, they booked the time to come in and record three songs that they would try to play and sing on.. these songs were to be played at their fathers funeral.

What they recorded were bare bones drums, one acoustic guitar track with one first take vocal track. It was pretty lonely sounding and they knew it. I offered to lay a bass track as well as some extra guitars and backing vocals to one of the songs. This is the song they played at Bob's funeral.  It's a Bob Dylan song called You Ain't Going Nowhere.  I really like the song and I'm glad that I was a part of it.

You raised good sons, Bob.

From about 21 through 30 I had an extremely hard time getting to sleep, and then staying asleep for more than two or three hours. Glancing at the clock every 30-60 minutes and stressing as the hours rolled by.. Couldn't quiet my mind, music playing in my head as I wrote songs etc. What an exhausting nightmare. Discovered melatonin at about 30 and that worked if I took small doses. Nothing worse than not sleeping off the shit you used to get you to sleep in the first place. Some people use gravol, it actually works but is bad stuff when taken on a regular basis.

Don't have the problem anymore and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.


My OCD keeps my yards beautiful and I build one helluva deck. I have four and I better stop because my lawn space will be compromised and I can't have that. And Oh yeah, OCD is great for your lawn! Flowers too. Speedbagging too!

Here's the thing, I own a rental property that I prefer to have as an AirBnB listing rather than a full time rental with looser tentants that simply don't care about all the hard work and renovations I've done to it. (I did that for a while and evicted them after nine months) it even got violent, thank God I'm a hulk

I recently had a group of woman visiting my city on business. These were nice rather attractive woman in their mid 30's, very polite and like most AirBnb members they left me with a good feeling after I greeted them and gave the usual walkthrough that is the norm. They stayed in the house for eight days, but that is, I guess insignificant.

They checked out yesterday morning by 11 am as is set in my house rules.. So of course I am quick to get in right after to assess the way guests leave things as I will have to submit a review of (enter name)'s group. Pretty much figured they would have like most AirBnbers left things in fine condition.

She's got a thick skin, you've got to grant her that. She has her opinions, many of them! She might be very funny in person, and paulidini  (butchered his name, sorry dude) thinks she's on meds and I am inclined to agree with him. I think she talks in her sleep and used to have a drinking problem as she now tends to avoid the sweet nectar that is booze. I suspect she's a very nice person, kind hearted and all that. She's mildly crazy, and that's fine by me, and why do I find her to be sexy? I know she's not..   If she penned a book I might read it.

I have gone through three mouse wheels scrolling through some of her posts. Good lord, honey.

Last October I was gifted a rather high quality speed bag with a wall mount system to hang it from. This was something I would have never asked for or dreamed about getting in to. However, this new fascination of mine has me addicted and I can't tear myself away from it. This is a completely unexpected new hobby that has me by the balls and I've gotten very good at it as I'm very fast and getting somewhat fancy using elbows, back-fists and more.  Sometimes a mild case of OCD can come in handy;D

..better than stamp collecting, I guess.

Things have been rather normal and even pleasant the last couple days. What gives? Where is the hooliganism, tomfoolery and mindless attention craving drivel I've become so accustomed to?

Is the system broken?

I don't know why, but I have the dvd and I watch this movie about twice a year and it never gets old. I'm a sucker for anything serial killer. I also like Don Knott's movies.

I own my own little flooring company so I'm well covered in that department. I can also paint very well, build a very nice fence in any length as well as a pretty nice deck. I'm good enough at all those things to be paid for them. I should also include that I can frame and erect a wall but that is it. Drywall stops me cold and I certainly cannot tape and mud it.


When it comes to plumbing or electrical work? I'm screwed and have no option but to call in a professional to do it. I can install a ceiling light fixture (positive to positive, negative to negative) but I still feel worried about it when I'm done. Bad electrical work can burn your life down! And plumbing is just damned frustrating. I can install a basic sink or toilet but again, it's iffy.


Whatta you do well? Well enough to look at it and say "that, is a quality job" even though you did it! It's a good feeling.  But surely you can't do it all, can you?

From feces on fire to umpteen cooking threads that go nowhere, it all happens to be morbidly fantastic reading. I could, but I won't quit you, CoastGab.

Do you have any strange kinks? I've never understood some of the weird fetishes out there. However, for instance, I have what would be considered to be a mild foot fetish. Not smelling or licking the lucky ladies feet, but more of an appreciation of a well manicured well shaped foot in a nice heel. I won't even get into the onion ass and breast obsession that I have. I like tall athletic woman.

I used to dislike (hate is a strong word) Albrecht. But now I think different and I bet he's a pretty good fellow.

I used to like Yorkshire Pudding head. But sometimes I think he's a bit of a prick, and he has a tendency to sling mud he is unable to back up because he doesn't always do his homework before starting up with another member.

I like b_dubb, because he is a legitimate prick and seems to be completely oblivious to it.  Beautiful!

After listening to the last gabcast, my thoughts were confirmed on what I feel about the finality of Art saying goodbye, this time.  MV really had a way of pointing out that all past hopes of any AB return are simply, gone. Gone like a frieghtrain! Gone like yesterday! ETC.

Several gabcasts ago someone made the point that no matter what happens? "Art easily has a big enough cache to hang his hat on" Truer words never said!

My top 5 seems to change from time to time but Angel Heart (horror thriller) is always in there.  And I must say, that I blame the Blair Witch thingy for about 15 years of hand held POV bad, unoriginal let downs.

While signing up I wasn't ready to pick a name.. So when asked I looked around my surroundings (in my studio) and saw my KSM32 microphone in the vocal booth. Basically the first thing I saw.  I so want to change it to "Huge Ackman" but alas..

- Personal Fitness Trainer. (an exorcise in PATIENCE with unrealistic people..)

- Guitar and Vocal coach. (the money can be great but you deal with a lot of sick kids and stinky adults, why not be a doctor)

Here's one I and a friend were victims of:

A few years back my band played a show as to be insignificant but it is the scene of the crime.   Our bass player owns and operates a sign shop. Decals, Stickers, ETC.

The guy took it upon himself to make us personalised bumper stickers for myself and our drummer. I found mine on my company truck THREE days later after driving around with  mmm mmm ANUS! stuck on my bumper.

Our drummer drove around for TWO WEEKS in his Federal Express cube van with Sphincter Licken Good!
