Wow, this forum is still alive? Still yammering y'all? Any new Woowoo talk about bell sightings?

I figure the man is going to croak soon and no offense to anyone, but his time is done and done anyways.

I have an Amazon Echo to listen to at night now, when I do listen to something, don't miss Bell, or Noory, or Hoagland any longer, don't miss the woo woo BS and don't miss that vieled politics here either, but it is interesting that this forum manages to survive, well, good going guys, keep the flame lit, enjoy.

I had no choice, I $had to$ cancel, my jerk off boss fired me, just in time for XMas. I hope to support Heather, but I do have some comments: She has cut back on how much affect she puts in her voice, but the affect is still there and it comes off disingenuous, it's a little amaturish, I keep catching myself saying to her while listening "girl, just use a normal voice!". The news girl does the same thing, this inflection in her voice. Just talk to me like it's just you and me in a room! Heather has talent and she can do it, but she needs to learn first, a number of dark matter shows have this issue, the attempts to sound "cool" when just talking normal would be fantastic.

But, and it pains me to say this, Art's shows since the summer have been pretty perennial, pretty cookie cutter. I think Heather wasn't being allowed to take the show in a fresh direction, that Art was cherry picking guests when, IIRC (I've been a lurker of this forum from time to time), a lot of people made really good suggestions for new content for the (then) upcoming show, did Art listen to the ideas, not so much it seems. I love Art, but it's too much retreads. Maybe Heather will get her own producer and take the show in a new direction eventually. And I will support the show when I get a job again (crosses fingers).

I also agree that it would be great to support the network itself.

Also, I never heard Art in the very early days, but in the beginning he must have sounded amateurish also, we've all got to start somewhere. Heather, just don't put that affect in your voice, stay calm, and don't fail to challenge guests, don't swallow everything they assert, because that's what Noory does and it sucks. Give the guests a little bit of a hard time, make them justify their claims, and steer the convo, don't let guests steer the convo, don't be a pushover, you CAN do it, girl!

Now to get a better job (what a jerk the boss was)!
