My sister (50-ish, excellent health and fitness, works in the publishing industry) got the first shot last week. She jumped the line because her son works for a Walgreens. He called her and said that if she could get there by 6, she'd get vaccinated. She talked to the nurse about it, who told her that a lot of people who work at the places where vaccinations are being offered are bringing in relatives and even friends to get the shots.

Both she and my 70-year-old cousin said that the side effects were mostly fatigue and headaches, lasting about a week.

I'm 72 and have some health issues, and the State of Michigan tells me there are 660,000 people ahead of me in the line.

Just guessing, but I suspet  when Noory retires or dies, Premiere will cancel C2C and fill the time with some other type of talk, maybe a straight interview show like Jim Bohannon or John Batchelor.

Haven't received the second stimulus check yet, and I suspect I'm not going to, for some unknown reason. The IRS website says it doesn't know  why.

Allow me to be the first to say it. These nitwits won't start a pillow company, and if they do it will fail miserably, and soon.

This is one of the more baffling Trumptard talking points. Would you rather have someone prepared to change his mind based on the evidence, or someone who is more concerned with his reputation and will say the same thing whatever the facts are?

Neither. I want the press-appointed 'nation's top virology expert' to know what the fuck he's talking about from the jump.

Will Whitmer play a part in the Biden administration?  I think she needs a bigger platform to teach us the meaning of the word discipline.

One slightly darker parent, and she'd be your VP-elect.

A woman of color is elected to Congress, and not a peep from the WaPo, Huffpo, or NYT. Still think these people are journalists?

The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.

Really? A man who has willfully disregarded many (has have his predecessors) UN resolutions, clawed back land illegally and built illegal walls, and basically given the finger to anyone who takes them to task about it? You want that sort to be in charge of the US?

As opposed to a thin-skinned incompetent narcissist who rolls over for the likes of Iran ? You bet.

Netanyahu is an impediment to peace.  His mad rush to build on the west bank purposely precludes any true peace with the Palestinians and his rhetorical attempt to derail the Iran negotiation was disappointing.  Israel will never truly be secure until it creates rapport with its most vicious enemies.  Before you say it cannot be done, the one success of the Carter Presidency was the end of hostilities between Israel and its ancient enemy Egypt.  I was just a little one but I remember being awed by the sight of Menachem Begin and Anwar Sadat shaking hands.

You may be right. I'm not much of a student of the Middle East, though I find the Palestinians so completely steeped in victimhood that it's hard to work up much sympathy for them. Dirt-poor, for the most part, yet their beloved 'leader' Yassar Arafat died a billionare. I'm not sure your Israel/Egypt analogy holds, since there isn't really any 'Palestine'.

Anyway, my reference to Netanyahu was mostly because he seems to be the kind of man I think we need running the US Adminstration. We ended our problems with our 'Palestinians' nearly two centuries ago, so we wouldn't have to worry about his failings there.

If we're going to run around amending the Constiturtion so that people who weren't born in the United States can run for US president, let's forget Schwarzenegger. Here's one vote for Netanyahu in 2016.

Unfortunately, we won't know unless she tells us, and she owes it to those of us who enjoyed her posts (and her podcast appearance) to do so. The whole thing seems a little drama-queenish to me, and I wouldn't have expected that from [redacted].

When you mis-type target.com into your address bar and actually enter taget.com, it redirects to jcpenney.com. Reason enough not to do business with JCP, not that many people are anyway.
