It's cool MV is pimping NORD. They're among the best VPN providers out there.

I got slightly paranoid when I clicked on that link and it led to NordVPN's site, since that's what I'm using. But I guess this explains it.   :D

I've seen the video and the stills.  It was headline news over here, back in the day.  But you can't see shit.  It's just like in the show when they broadcast an image of nothing, then draw-in a box to illustrate where the box can be seen.  But it really can't be seen without great leaps of vivid imagination.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareidolia

This 10x video thing reminds me of the TIGHAR group, which has been looking for Amelia Earhart on a tiny Pacific atoll for the past 20 years. A few years ago they sent a remotely operated vehicle down the edge of the atoll, but couldn't find anything. Luckily they were able to conjure up all sorts of shit from the still images later on. You know, to keep those sweet donations flowing in.

One of their investors took it too far though, imagined artifacts like Earhart's banjo and toilet paper rolls into the video, and sued TIGHAR for finding the plane wreckage and "covering it up".

I never cared much for the overarching conspiracy storyline, but I always loved the comedy / monster of the week episodes, so the new season has been great for me.

Yep, I actually found one of the swords in this image:

Andy White now has knowledge of seven or eight different swords, Design Toscano sword which you posted above is the one currently in production. Nobody knows who started to make these things, but AW has a hypothesis that they were originally made for 19th century tourist market.

Apparently the Laginas paid $10 000 for the sword. Terrible price for a door stopper, but I guess for a cliffhanger it was reasonable.

Am I the only one who thinks that Knapp didn't sound like his usual self on the 27th? Like his audio was slightly muffled or something.

No need to use Italian eBay, get your very own Oak Island sword from Walmart: http://www.andywhiteanthropology.com/blog/j-hutton-pulitzer-backpedals-on-roman-sword-claim-watches-his-credibility-circle-the-drain

Snooron's minions still manage to use a photo of a different sword: http://www.andywhiteanthropology.com/blog/watch-the-disinformation-proliferate-coast-to-coast-am-uses-photo-of-different-sword

Quote“The shipwreck is still there and has not been worked,” said Pulitzer. “We have scanned it, we know exactly where it lays, but it will be a touchy thing for the Nova Scotia government to allow an archaeological team to survey it. We know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is Roman.

A Roman shipwreck would just be a mound of ballast & cargo at this point, so I really doubt that Pulitzer could identify it "beyond a shadow of a doubt" from a side scan sonar image.

Or maybe I'm wrong and Jovan really is a genius:

They found a Roman sword near the coastline of the Island this week. It is supposedly part of a Roman boat that authorities know lays off the island. The problem is Nova Scotia has a rule about exploration of such things. It would just take time for new authority to be written. If true, and the swords seems legit so far, it rewrites history of who really landed first in North America.

Big win for the show.

Buy your own for just 75 euros: http://www.ebay.it/itm/PARTICOLARE-SCULTURA-COMMEMORATIVA-SPADA-BRONZEA-ROMANA-CON-IMPUGNATURA-STATUA-/301746768453

Who salted the mine, History Channel or the Laginas? Or maybe that Pulitzer guy.

I might have to see this latest season after all.

I listened to one interview with this Jason guy. He seems arrogant and loves to badmouth everyone else.  :o

Like Peter Robbins, but 100 times worse. I doubt that Art would let him spread his hatred on the show...

Yep, I do think that Jason Colavito is somewhat dry and nerdy guy, but I wouldn't call his position "hatred". He's a skeptic, just like Michael Shermer or Mike Heiser, both of whom have been guests on Art's show. Colavito calling bullshit on Scott Wolter & Ancient Aliens would be just as entertaining as Heiser calling bullshit on Sitchin.

An hour-long video attachment?  Your avatar should be St. Jude, Patron Saint of Lost Causes.  Oops, he was a Christian.

There are several hour-long video attachements in this thread, why aren't you butthurt about those?

I'm not one of those rabid New Atheist types myself, religion irrelevant to me. I just find its history interesting.

Windows 10 is a pile of poop but it's basically welcoming the NSA and all other three letter agencies into your life as well as all sorts of black hatters.

I'm not an expert, but Mikko Hypponen of F-Secure said on Twit recently that W10 is way better security wise than 8 or 7.

There are privacy issues with the metrics that Windows gathers from your OS, but in my opinion that's peanuts compared to what people upload to MS, Google and Facebook voluntarily through their accounts.

I just binge-watched seasons 1 & 2. While I personally think that it's just a natural sinkhole, what annoyed me the most was the amount of Templar bullshit included. Basically the idea that Templars were in North America prior to Columbus is a conspiracy theory piled on top of a conspiracy theory. Absolutely zero evidence for any of this, yet these History Channel shows like America Unearthed, Pirate Treasure of Knights Templar and The Curse of Oak Island talk about it like it's some sort of an established fact.

Jason Colavito has a lengthy article about the whole Templar-Freemason-Sinclair-America "theory": http://www.jasoncolavito.com/the-templars-the-holy-grail--henry-sinclair.html

correction: The interviewer is actually Joe Cocozza, not Philippe Cousteau.

I also managed to mess up the link, here's the correct url to the Pod Diver podcast featuring Richie Kohler: http://poddiver.libsyn.com/britannic-expedition-intvw-w-richie-kohler

So, I listened to the Jill Heinerth episode and thought that it was excellent. I'm a wreck diver myself, and started to think about who would be a perfect guest for Art to interview about that aspect of diving. I immediately thought of John Chatterton and Richie Kohler. They're the guys who found the German submarine U-869 off New Jersey, wrote a best selling book called Shadow Divers and went on to host History Channel's Deep Sea Detectives. They've also been involved in investigations to the RMS Titanic and her sister ship HMHS Britannic.

I probably wouldn't have posted about my idea, but this morning there was a new Pod Diver episode in my RSS reader, and it had Philippe Cousteau interviewing Richie Kohler about his new book The Last Olympian. I bet he'd be willing to come on Art's show and share a story or two about his diving adventures and our underwater heritage.
