Long time lurker/listener, first time poster. I was moved to register and write because of the most spurious rubbish spouted by Dr. John Gray (?) on the Valentine's Day show.
First he says that he can't claim that spices and hot food cure cancer --> calls it a 'solution' and spouts the stupidest theory. Hot spicy food produces mucus which breaks down tumours, and that in Germany they cure cancer by chewing your food 30 to 50 times because it produces amylase. Amylase is, of course, an enzyme in saliva, so he's basically claiming that spit can cure cancer.
Then, adding insult to injury, he went off on a George-supported rant about chemotherapy being a ruse and that it's "illegal" to say that these alternative remedies cure cancer.
I'm as sceptical of big pharma as anyone, but if the cure was as simple as a few burritos, chewed well, then companies would have jumped on it.
I know that this is preaching to the converted. But I listen in for the stupid conspiracy theories and blatant schilling, but I haven't been this disgusted by the sloppy fake journalism and marketing going on since John B Wells' conspiracy theories.
Noory is fun to pick on and make fun of, but it's honestly ridiculous that he can shore up for himself such a reputation and steady employment by preying on people's ignorance, weaknesses and fears.
They really should stick to UFO nutjobs and pseudoscience like cryptozoology.
