There is no similarity of the 1700 military to the military of today. To even consider that as some form of equivalency can only be made by someone that has never been in the military. Has no understanding of a military mindset and has never seen any form of modern day warfare.
I really do not want to get off on a tangent here. But it is almost insane to believe that todays US citizens have any kind of chance in any kind of military combat. The only way to confront that kind of tyranny would be what happened in Tiananmen Square.
The day of hiding behind a tree and holding off a platoon of enemy combatants is gone, except in the movies.

Yeah no way a group of underfunded, out gunned, and untrained men could hold off the US military.

Signed,

The Taliban and Iraqi Insurgents with their 20 year old AK-47's and crude explosives.

Our average soldier carries a M-16A-4 and basic 782 gear and little to no body armor besides a kevlar helmet and maybe a flak (without sappy plates) if they are lucky.  If you think of the military as a high tech fighting force with access to air support and laser guided bombs at their disposal you are vastly over estimating our strength.  Also take into consideration that even with the bombs and drones our military basically has to fight every conflict with one hand tied behind it's back to appease both the public at home and the international community.

In all honestly I truly believe a group of reasonably armed militia type guys would easily win a conflict with most of our National Guard/Reservists. Hell half of the nasties I ran into @ Iraq didn't even train with real rifles.

::)  Of course McCain and Graham are the first to attack the filibuster and try to make the case that Drones pose no risk at all to the safety of Americans.  What a bunch of out of touch d-bags.

I am quite surprised by the negative response by those on the left.  In my mind the use of drones to kill American citizens is a non partisan issue. Hell I think the use of drones to spy on American citizens is an issue that needs to be discussed as well and so does the whole warrant-less wiretaping issue.

The issue of using Drones against known terrorist in foreign countries is a little different to me and I know that is somewhat hypocritical.  I was in the United States Marine Corp for 6 years and deployed to Iraq two times. I will forever be physically limited from this and I think if a Drone can be used to effectively terminate an enemy target without endangering any members of our military I am ok with it.  I hear the so called moral argument about how someone sitting in Nevada can use a joystick and kill a man in Pakistan but to me that is not much different from a pilot deploying a laser guided missile while in country.

you have a great senator.

Hes the closest thing to a true conservative that I have seen in a long time.  Contrary to popular belief we want a smaller government and larger amount of freedoms not a religious theocracy with corporations running wild.

I hate listening to Whitley's whiney sad sack voice, complaining that not enough people believe his story.  Then when pressed admit it would have been a lot for him to swallow if he'd heard it from someone else.

Or his stories like 'we saw her go into the bathroom but never saw her come out, therefore she went through a portal'.  Ugh.

I won't miss not having Art talking to this guy

Whitney may be the biggest fraud of all of the C2C guests and that's saying something. Off the top of my head here is some things that have happened to Whitney over the past 15 years....

Alien Abduction.
Government Abduction.
Bigfoot sighting.
Thunderbird sighting.
Was told about "Project Serpo" in 1991 (Before the story was debunked of course)
Followed by black-eyed children across the country.
Time Travel/Portal travel bathroom story.

Annnnnnd cashed in on the Global Warming scare.

Well George should be even more annoying tonight after finding out his job is still safe.  That's what hurts the most. :(

Finally listened to the Numbers lady show today and it's as terrible as advertised!!  I actually busted out laughing when he messed up Hillary Clinton's name.  (That gets you some looks in a quiet office) It sounded like he was stroking out.

This show was a low point for C2C.  The only other show I can think of that was this bad was his interview with Kevin Mitnick the father of hacking and computer security and George basically used him as his personal tech support. "What's the difference between Adobe and Java?"

Finally got to listen to the show yesterday and I must say it was a little disappointing.  I love Knapp as host.  I also like Dolan and even a crazy John Lear every once in a while is fine but there was to much packed into one show.  The main guest was sooooooo interesting yet it seems like Knapp was doing everything in his power not to focus on him.  I hope they have Grant Cameron back for a solo show someday.

The first hour guest was horrible!  Knapp did his best but it seemed like all he could get out of her was a few one word answers.

::)  As if George Noory would do research or be prepared for something by actually doing prep work and read a book.

I tried to give Ground Zero a chance but the over production is just so annoying, starting with the 5 minute intro "The loud speaker spoke up and said...G....G...G Ground Zero" x 10

The calls to the show weren't that bad though but I am sure that will change as more and more of George's listeners start listening and calling in.  Pretty soon "Jan from Brooklyn" will be calling. ::)
