I wish I could post here more often, but I'm hardly around. Its just not worth the hassle and time. I don't like typing on my phone, and I have spent hours trying to post on the computer over the last months between restarting it, and typing out posts five or six times just to be constantly meet with a screen saying 502 bad gateway nginx. I love you all, but it's just not worth the hours of time and frustration and still not being able to actually make a fucking post.

I'll continue trying when I think of it, but that is the reason for my extremely limited presence.

I had a good friend call and tell me about 2 of her acquaintances under 50 who both dropped dead in the last week (both apparently very healthy.) I don't know if whe was trying to goad me into questioning the vax. She knows I am vaccine free, but we never discuss it.

Anyhow, I just said it was too bad and "very surprising."

Now I hear that his son was "renting" the house with the classified documents (and the locked up corvette) for $50,000 a month? If that was not a typo with an extra "0" added it would appear that it might be a way to funnel "10% for the big guy" to his dad?

And they had a crackhead living in a house with classified documents about the Ukraine. So if they found 10, how many were there to start with?

That was a great tweet. I can't help but notice that it is only the "extreme right" who are now calling military spending reductions. And this is considered normal when the extreme "progressives" vote for more military and more war while the right says that we need to look at cuts?

It's funny... I no longer recognize this country and if "their" agenda was to take somebody who was once a proud Canadian and make him not care for it in the least, then mission accomplished. I almost wonder if that is part of the reason for all of this. If the few people who would fight for their country no longer care, then what is left but to bring in the UN and the WEF?

It now takes a lot to shock me. But when I had seen that video, I sat there at 8:10 with my jaw on the floor. I think most of us probably knew it- but it was astounding to see her actually admit it all.

You just proved my point. You don't go to strip clubs because you accept that they are not a place you want to be. You will not be able to sit quietly not drinking and not smoking. You accept that they are not going to change the atmosphere just because you don't care for it.

And yet, here you are. In the internet's preeminent pit of boiling sewage wondering what the smell is... Please remember that even if you manage to climb out, the aroma will linger...

So years ago I gave laserjock a piece of advice- and I will repeat it for you. This may not be the board for you. Bellgab never changes. If anything it changes you. And I'm guessing it is not changing you in any positive way.

I don't believe it did any good for laserjock. He stayed and got more and more pissed off until he imploded and created an identical twin to "Mels hole." If Art were still around, he would undoubtedly cover the new phenomenon known as "Lasers (butthurt) hole."

Any idea if you plan on imploding on a slow time line or a long term schedule? You appear to be well on your way. I just can't quite grasp the reason anybody would stick around on a site that appears to be damaging them mentally. But all the best...

Quote from: albrecht on December 24, 2022, 05:21:27 PMI heard Richard Syrett guest saying your 'health' system is putting out some kind of comic or book to teach children about the 'youth in Asia.' And it is painless, so don't worry about grandma or a retard etc. And a cartoon with Mrs.Santa and some Oriental health minister, or some doctor official, about getting more jabs.
Looking for a last minute gift for a child? Give them comics about gender-bending,  abortion, forced jabs, and forced, or mildly encouraged, euthanasia! A perfect stocking-stuffer!
news to me. But I did play an interview or to health official did with ms Claus for my immediate unvaxxed family. They were all impressed.

What does it mean when you go to a Christmas Eve service and will you eyes when the pastor brings up zelensky? Its it automatic damnation, or a sign that the church is a little too woke?

I think you should wander the streets in your sweater with a Ukrainian glad and a ton cup for donations

Quote from: albrecht on November 26, 2022, 01:21:49 PMAll great points and central banking, traditional banking, and commodity markets. And obviously I don't understand the underlying technology. It would seem to be that if 'every transaction' is 'kept' on the blockchain than the crypto currencies would even have more, at least similar, tracking to transactions over the traditional banking system and likewise could be tracked, blocked, or hacked, or lost due to some server shutdown or the companies 'holding' your coin. And not 'anonymous.' Maybe if there was some physical coin that was anonymous, so more like cash, that can't be tracked (as easily at least) once it is a physical form and has exchanged hands several times. I don't know.
Tracked-yes. Blocked-no. Hacked-no. (Bitcoin) and tracked with addresses. Only able to be tired to an individual if you connect it to you in some manner.

Monero had some tracking prevention built in- but it is a little suspect.

Most alt coins are garbage in every sense of the word.

And yes, physical commodities are good as well. Though diamonds are not something I would trust... Try selling one. Way to specialized, way too small a market. Way to easy to buy something that is worthless and most people know as much about diamond investing as crypto investing (strangely, I have told a lot of people to not invest in crypto unless they do the research necessary to understand it.)

Quote from: pyewacket on December 22, 2022, 08:22:18 PMHi Rix - Here's a joke you might like.

Mildred, the church gossip, and self-appointed monitor of the church's morals, kept sticking her nose into other people's business. Several members did not approve of her extra-curricular activities, but feared her enough to maintain their silence.

She made a mistake, however, when she accused George, a new member, of being an alcoholic after she saw his old pickup parked in front of the town's only bar one afternoon.

She emphatically told George and several others that everyone seeing it there would know what he was doing. George, a man of few words, stared at her for a moment and just turned and walked away. He didn't explain, defend, or deny. He said nothing.

Later that evening, George quietly parked his pickup in front of Mildred's house............. and left it there all night.

I know just the person who needs to hear that joke.

As far as I can tell, it is just becoming accepted. I really don't know how we arrived at the point where the majority of people just shrug this off. But most people have just said it's a personal choice while ignoring the government taking choice away from doctors who don't want to kill people. Its really something to see first hand.

It looks like you all were correct. Ukraine has been voted war of the year and Zelensky voted war monger of the year. Next we need to secure him a nobel Peace prize so he can join Obama in recognition for what he has done for humanity.

Quote from: albrecht on November 22, 2022, 04:32:27 PMI guess the whole deal is a combination of Ponzi schemes, government agency tracking, general grift, political donations, pump and dump, and money laundering.

I'm sorry... As opposed to central banks and fiat currency which is based on... What? Sound monetary principals?

I have been giving this a little thought. And no. Bitcoin (and some other crypto) has no counterparty risk. It is probably worth reading the original white paper, if you have not. It allows you to bypass the government, banks, and cannot be cancelled or changed. It allows a person in Africa who is "unbanked" to take part in the economy and even buy from somebody without a bank account, USD, KYC laws or currency swaps.

If you have been paying attention, paypal will now fine you if you put out "disinformation." The Canadian government shut down bank accounts for making donations to an unpopular cause.

Add to that the manipulations of central banks for interest rates. Look at wallstreetbets where they screwed over the little guy while Ken Griffith of citidel backstopped his friends. Look at where Robinhood admits that they sell the orders to Citadel to allow them to front run trades. Market manipulation by the banks for decades (interest rate manipulation would be one small example where trillions were pulled out and they were fined a few hundred million.) Banks knowingly laundering money for terrorists and criminals and paying a small fine.

You seem like you might like a free market system. And yet Leman brothers makes FTX look like a joke. But government got out and bailed out the billionaires and banks, screwed over home owners and kept the economy from being hurt like the FTX failure has done to crypto in general. The fallout from the FTX failure is a good thing. It is what a real free market system looks like when the governments can't print trillions to screw around with the system.

Yes- it is a little bit of the "wild west." And if you chose to trust an individual (or exchange) and if you invest in a "coin" like most of are- where a person or group can manipulate them by inflation or deflation or change the algorythem, then you take your chances. Greed often leads to loss.

Bitcoin is the cure to digital ID's, digital central bank currencies, and the WEF. Unlike something like Ethereum where the government can already demand that accounts be frozen- bitcoin (or even better- Monero) is outside of that system.

I'm sorry- but the stock market, commodity markets, futures markets, currency exchange markets, banks, billionaires, central banks and governments are far less trustworthy than the bitcoin that I hold in a cold storage wallet. Yes- it fluctuates compared to fiat. But that is not how it should be valued...

So, hold your fiat in a bank account while deriding crypto if you want. Hope that your bank will not seize it. Hope that you don't upset the wrong person where they freeze your funds, close your account for the wrong political opinion (I assume that you have seen the stories of some banks and insurance companies cancelling accounts of people for "wrong think?") Hope that your bank does not print too much and only inflates away 3 - 5% of the savings value each year and they don't make a "mistake" and claim that inflation is transitory like they have for the last few years while they printed trillions to give to the oligarchs who dutifully return a percentage as campaign "donations."

When I look at which system is more broken, more corrupt, and more at risk it is our fiat system.

I suppose I should clarify the above. Rape in war has been going on since biblical times. I do not believe that it is common for "our" soldiers. But I'm positive it happens. I also don't believe that all Russian soldiers rape and pillage (despite the propaganda.)

I'm just saying that in war- it is going to happen no matter how much we demand civil behaviour from soldiers when they are not busy killing, bombing, ambushing and slaughtering.

But yes, the Russian soldiers have been raping Ukrainian civilians.

At this point in history, I have to assume that it would be a news story if there were no cases of rape during war. Not excusing it- but do we honestly believe that "our" forces did not engage in a little forced sex in various countries?

He should have started by pointing at Justine and opening with "look, little potato."  :D

Getting back to the Medical assistance in dying- yes. It looks like Vancouver island has 7.5% of deaths as doctor assisted. And they are not only proud of this- but trying to level the field across the country (presumably to get areas that are lagging in assisted deaths up rather than reducing the numbers.)

This article made me sick. And we have not even allowed the mentally ill and depressed access yet. I would assume that will bump areas to 10% of deaths? And these are doctors? Dr. Mengele would be proud.

I really don't know what happened to the country that I grew up proud of and loving. I saw an obvious immigrant a few days ago with a front licence plate that had the maple leaf and a banner that said "proud Canadian." It actually threw me. I have no doubt he is more proud of his adopted country than I am of the country I was born in. This never used to be the case- but here we are. It's complicated. I still feel that there may be hope. But I'm not proud of what we are doing or where we are overall.
