or I don't like how Gumby was treated and am simply expressing my opinion. That is the beauty of free speech. You can call me as many names as you wish but it won't change my opinion. I'll drop it though so you can unbunch your panties. You won.

I said you were BEING an asshole. I go commando, nothing to be in a wad. I don't care if I win, that's not the point. You're likely to run more people off than any mod here. Then again, I think that's what you want. So for tonight, you've gotten rid of me. I won't comment about juvenile things being jammed in your orifices.

I'm done feeding your whatever.

I didn't see a ban threatened.

You can say just about anything here.

Shit Fuck Damn Godzilla Buttfucker.

You are just giving EvB a hard time now. I understand why Gumby reacted the way he did, considering how most forums are. EvB just doesn't want the forum sued out of existence, and that is very understandable too.

Both sides are understandable, no reason to stir the shit though Smoky. I know what you are doing, it very annoying, but it's not going to get you banned, so you are not going to be able to prove your point that way. You are clearly being an asshole. It's not that slick, anyone can be one.

Shame it's Ian doing the interview tonight with the guy that thinks he's a horse.

Seems the guest and George would have more to talk about - buying shoes in fours in order to have the back legs match up with the front, where to find the nail clippers with the extra reach, pants alterations, dealing with jealousy and strange looks from the other 4 legged critters, where the tail should go and other procedures when using the toilet....

The horse guy is back on? I think Ian interview him at least twice a couple years ago. Might have been coast to coast live.

Actually I think viable answers to his original question would be very valuable in general. In some versions a trust would be the way to keep it going, then the trust itself would have more details to hammer out.

I would certainly consider something like that for the most popular of my sites. My UFO, since it contains many years worth of UFO sightings from hundreds of people, and once I find public domain sightings, or permission from other sites/organizations to freely publish their sightings, it could balloon to tens of thousands of sightings ranging many decades. When I redid the website this latest time, I changed the format to UFO sightings only, with the idea of it being in a highly searchable format. With all information on the site being released under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported license.

Even so that is no guarantee the entire group of information will survive after the site is gone. Archive.org's wayback machine is no promise either, and it doesn't not preserve original content in the original functionality, as it does not cache the backend.

I'm sure sites like Source Forge would be fine for a long time. Not long ago though, Wikipedia a massively huge and popular site, was in trouble. Not that many people actually run the site, and it is not majorly funded, or was not then at least, not sure about now. For weeks the creator had fairly noticeable messages on the site asking for money, and he was clearly embarrassed to have to do that.

Michael's concern is very a genuine one. You never know when a well thought out and executed death plan can come to the rescue. Death does not have to equal his life in all situations, death of a career, death of a hosting account, death of a domain, death of an income and so on. A good plan can help you make a calm decisive decision when you might otherwise make a poor decision due to a stressful situation. I made one of those earlier in the year, and deleted all of my websites. Knowing that the most recent backup was from 3 months before that. Throwing my hands in the air, in a fit of despair and frustration, giving up on the idea of ever having a website, is a decision I made when I thought I had no other options. Had I had a backup plan in place, that wouldn't have happened.

Something that happened this month http://news.google.com/news?um=1&ned=us&hl=en&q=Ligesh+Suicide a software developer which had the most popular economy virtual server control panel, as he only charged somewhere around 50 cents per virtual machine running his panel. He was the only developer of the software, and had one office employee, yet not someone who could program the software. He had lost a big contract and then hackers exploited flaws in his software at some large hosting companies. He ended up hanging himself to death. Leaving thousands of people with servers running vulnerable servers, because the programmer did not have a back up plan, and because most of those users did not have a backup plan for such a seemingly impossible situation. And it's not as simple as them finding a new hosting company in the same price range, and many of them were also running the software.

I'm not going to go into Michael's alleged thoughts of death, telling someone not to think that way does not help.

So I say plan ahead.

you guys sound like drones, i thought there was no hierarchy here.

Perhaps they appreciate the fact that he set this place up, pays for it, keeps it running, and isn't a pain in the ass to the users. Of course I could be wrong.

There is a difference between ass kissing and appreciation.

I smell tones of GLP, and I mean that in the bad way you are reading it.

Interesting user reviews on that page.

Here's one:

Rating: Adware, spyware, or viruses

Godlike productions is a forum which seems to belong to a group of EXTREME rightwing Americal white supremasists. They foist extreme christian viewpoints and will ban anyone that makes a laughingstock of the core members views, or anyone that shows too much willingness to take an oppositional stance to the extreme viewpoints they offer.
Anyone that goes to this site must be aware that the posts may contain links to images, videos, and other sites that are laden with viral code, and other malware - there are several competent malicious computer hackers associated with the site and sometimes posts are made that boast of their exploits but the posts are tempered with questions about the hacks to boost the prestige of the hackers
THIS IS A SITE TO STAY AWAY FROM - THEY WILL HACK VULNERABLE COMPUTERS - TO VISIT THIS SITE YOU NEED MORE THAN THE SECURITY THAT ZONEALARM OR OTHER SOFTWARE OFFERS
You will need at least a hardware firewall and very good antimalware programs else you will be hacked

I assume you use godaddy for the domain. You can have domain paid ten years ahead, which still doesn't take care of forever. They also have auto bill if you enable it, and that can pull from a paypal account. So you could set up a secondary paypal account and start putting money in there, and potentially have enough in there at some point to have many decades worth set aside. The reason I mention paypal, is because most banks have an inactivity fee, which could eat up a dead mans account over time. As far as I know paypal does not.

That would take care of your domain, other than hosting your forum with the free hosting the godaddy throws in with every domain, I don't have an answer on that yet. You are not alone in those kind of thoughts.

A distributed website, might take care of the problem, if they even exist, yet. Where chunks could be hosted all over the net, so if one goes away, others still take care of it. I assume you'd have to do some really tricky DNS, so it would always point a URL request to an active chunk. Some kind of dynamic clustering.

Cloud/Grid hosting might be one way, not factoring in price at all. Since you should be able to keep those sites active regardless of the equipment being replaced. Because a server is almost certainly not going to be around after 20 years, and usually far less. Cloud hosting is not all that cheap for regular people.

I have the perfect host, if only. Sadly Paul Harvey died recently. Wouldn't his ghost make an excellent host to tell the rest of the story about the other side?

Cool, on both counts.

I wasn't a console gamer, until I discovered what the original xbox could do. Either do a solder and a flash (Tsop), or careful copying (softmod), then you can have at least a 1TB sata to ide converted hard drive. 250GB and 320GB IDEs are very reasonable on ebay. Then get xbox media center XBMC on there, and you have a internet capable home media center for less than $100 for xbox and hdd with careful shopping. Plus it can play 720P video, and has tons of codecs, for audio, video, and pictures. Once modded it'll play your burned backups nicely too, especially if you get the +R and use bit setting. You can get a refurbished xbox online at gamestop too, video and power cable, and a controller, about $60 shipped. You do not have to get a new hard drive to mod it. Splinter Cell, a special gamesave, transfer from a memory card to the xbox hdd, and an AID disc, and you can have an impressive device.

A 250GB drive will hold around a one hundred 700mb movie rips, and 100 xbox game backups. Provided you legally own that many movies and games to dump onto it. Plus it'll emulate nearly any console before N64, and partially N64, including PS1. And old computer games too. Not to mention you can set up samba shares, sharing from or two the xbox from your network. It'll stream 1000's of shoutcast stations even the 24/7 Art stream, and youtube videos. Plus you can have it contact IMDB to get movie info for what you have. At one point there was a working hulu plugin, and there are some other video streaming plugs for it. Plus it'll give you a 3 day weather.com forcast for 3 stored cities that you choose.

Plus the modded xbox lets you control movies from a control, no need for the remote control and dongle. Games are really cheap now, and still have good visual quality.

The legitimate reason you would want the movies and games on the drive is that it saves wear and tear on your optical drives, and loads extremely faster. You can also get a usb adapter, so you can use FAT and FAT32 thumb drives for quick content, and it'll also run a keyboard and mouse from USB, and even linux. The network conection is 100Mbps in XBMC, and you can plug the wire into a WRT-DD wireless router, or repeater, and not have wires all over your house to enjoy it.

There are some decent RP games on the xbox, including Knights of the Old Republic one and two.

I did play Ultima Online for a while, then later on, I found free shards you could play it on, so no monthly fee, and some of the free shards have cooler features than the pay one. Plus recently you could download the latest UO legally from EA, for free.

Ok I shut up now.

Linda needs one of those Stephen Hawking voice machines, and Linda please throw your fucking prerecorded interviews away. Even in the 90's it was real work trying to listen to a whole segment of hers. Between the recorded bits and her voice. Back then I used to drink Bitburger 8 packs overnight while listening to the shows, not every night though.

I'll give her credit for some of her earlier work, 70's cattle mutilations and I forget the rest.

I just realized why I can't stand George and coast any more. Early 2007 I quit drinking, that's also when I realized how much of a hack George really was. It's not that I didn't have a clue, the booze usually straight spiced Captain Morgans, acted as a medicine, like the old west, and civil war surgery methods.

Now George could easily be replaced with one of those computer automated weather radios. Linda would be far better off having sex with the weather computer, than with Noory.

About Noory taking a dump in a litter box, he'd get Tommy to do it, and RCH would take it as proof that NASA is covering something up on the Moon, Mars, or which ever popular space body of the moment.

Did anyone here the show I think Ian did with the GIS (ghostpix.com EVPs) maybe a couple years ago, where he embarrassed the lady (Barbara?) investigator? He told the younger man and the older woman, he always thought they were romantically involved. She got upset, and said something to the effect, that he was like a son to her.

There is a lot of room around Roswell, 60,000 people in a land area probably about the size of the entire state of New Jersey. The locals keep shooting each other dead, so it's not over crowed here.

Well the kind I was talking about can't even be verified to exist. I can't recalled the last time I saw undead dolphins devouring Denver, Detroit, and Des Moines, outside of my own thoughts.

Noory is only constructed from the rotting version of this, and not from the indestructible version, that all should fear, especially once mixed with the smallpox/swine-bird flu strain.

I wasn't debating if one existed, but since I brought up the subject of Noory being constructed from rotting dolphin meat, I'm pretty sure I was talking about the nasty gray ones, that attack sharks and are the gay (not that there is anything wrong with that) cousins of the Greys. In fact I was visualizing an undead bottle nose variety, that are hell bent on destroying the Earth.

As I know nothing about the fish kind, I'm pretty sure that is not the kind I was talking about, I suppose I could be wrong though.

RCH would just get a bogus test from a company that sounds like a real institute. Just like he did with his science award. There is a lot of info about him, doing things that are not very honorable. His peabody that he never actually got, he was a guest on a show, that got the award, and he wasn't the biggest name there. Files as a not for profit, but there is evidence he didn't use money in the manner it was awarded. That's just the short list. Maybe I'll research it again one of these days and compile a list.

I have no respect for that guy.

Even if he doesn't promote it, I think it would be cool to have a page somewhere, with a little paypal payment logo. If he's worried about something like that, it could be in return for something he wouldn't have spend any cash on. Like a sponsors page somewhere, with a link to the contributors website or similar. I enjoy the 24/7 stream, and I know I'd donate from time to time, when I have spare cash.

I'm guessing he's put a lot of time and effort into gathering them all, and getting the Noor-Ads out of them.

Do you have a donation page anywhere?

It's sad when an astronaut needs to wear a name tag. Seems insulting to me.

I did notice that. I have heard so many complaints about ad sense. I think once you start making a lot, they cancel your account. I'm glad someone finally stood up to them.

Yeah, or they cut off all traffic from their search engine to your site. I've been through that one.

One could only hope that Noory quits in 2011 to pursue his presidential campaign. He'll run his campaign under the banner of a fear mongering blow hard. Alex Jones, Steve Quayle, or Jerome Corsi for a possible vice president.

I won't be voting for any of those people, but I'd love to see him do anything at all that would make him leave the show. Of course he'd probably do it the  cowardly politician way, which is where they aren't doing the job they were elected to do, instead they are campaigning for a new job, and refuse to resign the current position until they get the new position. I think it's crap, but then again, my view is that being a politician, is one of the worst crimes you can commit against mankind.

Realplayer allows you to record streaming audio, to your hard drive. Not sure about the new website, but the old website, you could manually punch in page numbers, in your address bar, and go all the way back to the very first somewhere in time. So with a little effort you could have all the ones that aired. That is a fact. I'm not telling you to do such, nor do I know if it is legal. I'd assume, it would fall under fair use law, as long as you are a paying streamlink member, at the time you do it. You're also not doing anything wrong by manually putting web addresses into your browser, they are regular pages that become poorly linked as they age.

I remember last fall Noory promising to have it so streamlink members could have access to all of the shows. I'm assuming that never happened though. I canceled my sub, so I can't verify.

I will make an educated guess, and say if you do some creative searching on the internet, you will NOT be likely to find mp3s for most radio shows that are currently airing, and some going fairly far back of popular shows. :P

The interesting thing is that Art Bell is welcome in his wife's country. Especially how the local papers there, posted the letter that is hatefully to Filipinos, and claimed Art had written it. Of course he didn't write it, (http://www.google.com/search?q=art+bell+philippines+hoax ), Of course evidence wasn't enough to keep some of the Filipino press from lashing out at him. Yet that country still lets him live there. His wife did nothing (real or imagined) to America, and she isn't welcome. Crazy world, for you.

My thought is that Noory is constructed from rotting dolphin meat. I can't prove it, but it's what an Angel who fell out of the portal in my bathroom, told me, and I don't think it is a coincidence.
