I had taped the night Art talked about her death, it was one of the most honest and caring broadcast I've ever heard. I lost my tape, wonder if anyone else had a copy.

Last night 4/16/13, Noory compared himself to Walter Cronkite and Edward R. Murrow while on the phone. I'd compare him to any DJ in Tulsa Oklahoma and they'd be better.

I'm a newbie here but go way back to Art, for the record this is my take; Noory is basically a DJ (and I know that world) who is light at his most daring, his voice is good, I'll give him that, but he doesn't know anything but he hit the lottery for sure... Wells has a great voice, but he's one of those wacko guys, at least he seems to think that, maybe it's all show and I wonder about that. The guy I like the best in Art's absence is Ian who is smart and researches his subjects, I wish he was on wk-ends much more.

But there was nothing like Art's old intro, from the high desert... man, that made my skin tingle... those were the days.  I even saved that night when he talked about the death of his wife, that was sad but in a radio way, great. I had tears.

I'm a longtimer fan of Art, nobody as good as he is/was, after all it was his show. But I still listen even with DJ Noory, although painful, he still has some good guests, as long as GN doesn't open his mouth too often. I think, intellectually, Ian is probably the best of the current hosts, good listener and ready to take on any guests. He, at least has a point of view, like it or not, and is current in his knowledge. Sorry to see him go, Wells has a great radio voice but is a little too weird for me.
