Did the guest explain it to him? If so, what was his reaction?

There was a brief, awkward silence, and then the guest explained what a murder/suicide is.

Last night's guest wrote a book about a supposedly haunted mansion in Beverly Hills, and was describing a murder/suicide that occurred there.  George asked "well, which one was it, a murder or a suicide?"

A caller asked Major Ed whether apps are safe. Both Ed and George agreed that all apps, whether Chinese or American, are evil, and can turn your phone on or off, and will steal your contact list.  The next commercial break featured George and Tommy waxing poetic about the new and improved C2C Insider app, only 15 cents a day.

I thought 2 of them died.  To speak of ribbons when 2 of them died is extremely dishonorable.  Did he really do that?  And, more or less, he did it again?  Of all his gaffes, of all his insensitivities, of all his embarrassing shameful, immature self-disclosure, this one is THE dishonorable one.  Worse than him being in love with MTV girls while his wife presumably did dishes.  Worse than him abusing his pet who probably bit him for a good reason.  Worse than him admitting in his book that he chose an insecure girl for his crush and kind of opportunized on her insecurity.  None of those are as bad as speaking superficially and sometimes gloatingly, while 2 of his coworkers died if I remember right.  Maybe he's trying to look at it from a different angle than normal ("Gee, I'm lucky I got out right before the unit was called to deploy"), maybe a new angle ("Gee, they were lucky; they got to face danger and win recognition").  Well, George, we aren't buying it if that's what you're trying to do.  You just simply should not bring up this part of your past, or keep it totally at surface level with the caveat that some gave all.

To the guest's credit, he did call out George for this.

"Do parasites have pinchers?  Do they look like bugs?"

the second-half guest last night seemed like a pretty interesting guy, who had just released a book about North and South Korea. George and the callers spent 90% of the two hours talking about Russia, China, Syria, and Iran.  There were many awkward silences.

While reading a commercial for a staffing company, George said "there are over 5 billion job openings in the country."

That's what I call full employment.

While discussing various "structures" on Mars last night, George interjected with "it's really desolate out there, isn't it?"  A few seconds of awkward silence followed.

Did Connie just mention the 'Abdominal' Snowman?  She's making this a very entertaining show, maybe not for all the right reasons, but who cares tonite lol.

she definitely said abdominal.  I came here to post it, and you beat me to it.

So did I get that right, someone else is writing George's *autobiography*?  ???

that was pretty funny.  George was steamed that Tommy revealed that someone else is writing it.
