I wish, as my first post to this august board, to elicit responses to the following question:

Is it beyond reason to propose as a hypothesis, and as a hypothesis only, that a competitor, possibly even a certain competitor, is behind the recent threats to Mr. Bell?  I shall not fan the flames by advancing possible names for this competitor and no,  I shall not even propose that a certain competitor could possess a surname that rhymes with "snorey" even if that certain competitor might have contacts in the unsavoury legions often referred to as "the mob" (it is noted that this hypothetical competitor might be a former crime reporter and might have interviewed hit men, with such familiarity of the subject and of the aforementioned "mob" as to suggest dare I say "ties"?).  I make no accusations;  no, I merely pose the question if such a hypothesis is beyond reason and solicit responses thereto.
