Nice to hear the dulcet tones of one Art Bell again. But to hear that Cumulus was going to pick up the show with all its stations around the country makes it even more disgusting of the sudden departure due to  his wife's  order to Art to quit the show and Art going with it and posting his resignation without thinking it over first.

Is MITD still going I haven't kept up? The problem with it since it started even with Art at the helm was the substandard guests and callers compared to the glory days of C2C.  Maybe if it makes it through Jan. it might survive or maybe it's already dead except for the final curtain call, who knows? Anyway hope Art is doing alright, maybe he can get the Oregon militia members to come guard his ranch so he can start up again. And I feel kind of sorry for the woman host who has to put up with all the crank calls from unfunny pathetic losers.

I've heard Michael Savage on rare occasions parody Art Bell by starting to talk about UFOs and the Illuminati just as a comedic diversion from all the political stuff
but much more often he lampoons Mark Levin by talking in a high squeaky voice at a fast rate and referring to him as just having had a hysterectomy.

Thing about Noory he has the late night soothing voice and non controversial that will get the old people with insomnia to listen religiously to him. Similar to that bizarre show way back in the beginning of late night talk radio the Nitecap show with Herb Jepko where he wouldn't allow any political or controversial topics so mainly old people would call him to talk about the weather and visits from their kids, etc.

Art seems to be burning all  bridges as he heads off into the Nevada sunset. There has to be more to it than the stalker incidents I imagine it exacerbated whatever other things going on with his personal life and led to the abrupt emotional final sign off. I hope Art has a nice retirement with his family and his drones and ham radios, he's earned it.

You can't judge her on the basis of that one show last night at least she bounced that clown after 2 hours of total nonsense from that psycho or wanna-be comedian. Hell, the show last night would have stunk if it had been Johnny Carson  hosting it.

No wonder Art called it quits if they couldn't come up with guests any better than that fk twad on Friday there's no reason to continue.

Good luck Art! It was a short but sweet ride while it lasted and you haven't lost a step as a broadcaster but family comes first and best wishes to you and your family and Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year and Happy future New Years.

Art, thanks for the last 5 months it was nice to hear you again  and though it was short it brought back a lot of good memories and you sounded just as good as the glory days. Whatever the reasons are for calling it quits- you've got to do what you've got to do and best wishes for you and your family.
