Jobs didn't die as a result of alternative health cures. He ate that way all of his adult life. The guy ate mostly just fruits and vegetables, often not caring or paying attention to whether he was getting adequate fats and proteins. Unfortunately, we're only now discovering how damaging having almost no saturated fat in your diet can be. I'd say this contributed to his demise more than anything, really. He was a stubborn, headstrong guy though and didn't accept advice easily. Furthermore, he put off getting any standard treatment until it was too late. He may have tried some alternatives but it's highly unlikely that they were anything but ineffective.  The Isaacson biography is good and worth a read.  ;)

Where did you get your nutrition training?  This is mostly horseshit.  Vegans get plenty of good fats and an abundance of protein (protein deficiency? Ever seen or heard of any person dying of protein deficiency in the developed world? I thought not.). Jobs had cancer since his late 20's when he worked in the electronics industry in Silicon Valley. His fruitarian vegan diet held off his cancer for many years more than it would have had he been a carnist.  He was also Buddhist and did not want surgery - his choice. Turns out it would not have saved him but idiots continue to pass this around like it was true.  His cancer metastasized many years before it was found and NO TREATMENT would have saved him.  At least do the man the justice of posting the truth instead of some made-up bullshit.

Would someone just stick a fork in this thread and call it done?

Last one out turn off the lights.

>small neighborhood
>cops stake out the place

You're kidding right?

Anyone with Google maps can see that where he lives is so far from civilization that frankly I'm amazed he even has electricity.  The compound is near a few other houses but the location is so far from police, fire, ambulance or hospital, that you could say it's equivalent to the Alaskan tundra where they have to fly planes in to bring groceries.  Don't expect "stakeouts", don't expect quick responses.  There is 360 degree access and under cover of darkness and without IR goggles, you're vulnerable. You've watched too much TV.  They're on their own, and they know it.  If I were him, I'd hire a nice former SEAL advisor and set up a security system that works and includes a safe room, possibly underground.

As for the decision to live there, frankly it baffles me, particularly given the presence of children and women. Personally, that would be the worst choice I could make, and I'd never live there unless I was chained up in somebody's basement.  I don't condemn him for making his choice to isolate himself so much that help cannot be offered or expected - it's his right.  We are simply spectators in what unfolds.

That's a possibility.  Esp. if someone tried to steal a tower for its copper.  (Maybe Art should have a couple of guard dogs).

The coyotes eat guard dogs.  Why would anyone live in such a God-forsaken place?  I mean all he needs is an empty boxcar and a shovel to wait for the end.

Just use a milk crate

Eat vegetables.  You won't have constipation and have to buy stupid toilet steps.

I'd put real money on an unknown natural phenomenon, not farking Xenu the galactic emperor.

Oh Art you love this goofy stuff, totally ignoring common sense and science.  Sigh. After thousands of hours of listening to him chasing unicorns I should know better I guess.

Guess what, Pixel! He's not full of crap. No book. He's written a lot of books in the past, and he'll be getting to the Malachi Martin part, too.

Listen to Art. This is as skeptical as he gets with a guest as full of crap as this one.

I despise lawyers on principle.

You married to him?

This guy is full of crap.  Amityville was never a hoax.  There are lots of witnesses still alive.  Even Malachi Martin mentioned visiting Amityville.  Is he shilling a book?

This is a good show.  His delivery isn't as lively and exciting as Fr Martin (I hung on every of his words), but he's very very good.  Very calm, focused, and clearly knows his stuff.

As for those poor people, I'd have been in church after the first creepy oppression.   You can't fight invisible demonic forces with amateurs.  The Catholics have 2000 years experience with this stuff. Hooo-rah.

Why isn't this guy talking about the fact that MEAT production causes more climate change than transportation?  ALL transportation - cars trucks planes boats. The major sources of CO2 are meat, burning trees and volcanoes THEN transportation.

Every steak or slab of bacon condemns our grandchildren.

True, though a hell of a lot of them use "students" and "post-grads" to do their research to get their chairs, grants, etc. And consulting with companies who, wow how did that happen, fund them or when emeritus get some school, scholarships, or building after them. I'm not saying it is corrupt totally but there is way too much pressure in legitimate programs. (I won't go into why certain schools even exist much less get public funding but in legit stuff, there still is lots of politics, aside from usual system stuff but for grants, programs, research, etc.)

ALL of them use students and post docs to get grants.  That's their training and their purpose.

As for the rest of what you said, no.  Just no.  Facepalm.

On the other hand don't forget that Einstein was a mere patent clerk when he came up with the theory of relativity.

He's no Einstein.

And I worked for 22 years with PhDs in research labs and who were tenure track, full professors, not contract teachers.

And none of them were "morons".  That's reserved for drunk & stoned forum posters.

Somehow I just can't imagine that a warp ddrive gets invented by a guy who doesn't have a PhD.  He just doesn't sound all that smart.   He's a contract teacher.

Someone named Debbie Anderson.  I know almost nothing about her and I want to know less.

Spooky stuff. I too have heard that weird story of stairs in the national parks. I feel like I heard it on Dark Matter but cant be sure. Spooky stairs.

There is a thread on reddit with these stories. And at least one of a kid who was given berries by some creature.

Did he try to get his senator or representative to file the FOI request?  They usually get better responses, particularly if they determine the Dept of Interiors budgets.
#20
I wonder if he knows any stories about those wood stairs that search and rescue guys find in the forests?  If anyone reads Reddit there's a frightening thread of stories about these.
#21
I'm sure there will be something for everyone to complain about.  We're all so jaded.
