It's not 9pm pacific yet
I see.. I thought it was the usual friday-saturday stream times.

So was he live or did he cancel it like usual??

Do you know who in "this group" was one of the most vocal against people like George?? It was Heather herself and she did say some truly nasty things about this guy.
This is all karma in my eyes and she actually is more deserving of it due to both her previous behavior and because she actually makes Noory look like a professional compared to her.

And by the way I have absolutely no love for Art anymore either and cannot even listen to old replays anymore due to the way he treated and lied to his fans/listeners.

Maybe he should have thought about that before going into contract with a new radio show??
He is so fucking selfish and thinks of no one but himself.

One thought has occurred to me, and that's if there's that many Art Bell haters and that many people who apparently can't stand him and spend this much time talking trash about him, assume they know exactly what is going on in his life and what he's thinking, and argue countlessly with those who defend him, then I believe full well that it is entirely possible some psycho nutcase could be out there who would indeed want him dead and would take shots at him, either to kill him or merely scare him into going off the air. And who says they couldn't be smart enough to cover their tracks? You could even say the same for the Snoory haters, though they seem to be far more intelligent and far more sensible from what I have read in the past, but then again I already made the mistake of assuming everyone on here had at least half a brain and some form of common sense, so whatever.
Just because some of us are smart enough to see through his story and notice the signs of his "retirement" weeks-months in advance of the stalker story, does not mean that we hate him or would want to hurt him.

The actual police reports.  ::)
Or the constant change in the "stalker" story.

We might not have proof that the story was made up or exaggerated to be used as a reason to quit, but his overall history, art acting like he was getting bored with the show and the fishy story surely makes our version seem more plausible.

Whatever the case may be, I find it hard to believe that with all of the supposedly huge deals for his show that were on the table waiting to be signed that he would come up with a fake story like that. Especially after all of his past retirements and knowing full well the impact it would have on fans and the public beating he would and is obviously now taking. As far as the Savage fiasco, that too wouldn't be the first time someone has said something slanderous about Art and he's taken them to court over it. The difference here is that while Savage may not have mentioned Art by name, everyone knew who he was talking about and he not only insulted him but also his family, and I think that's where it struck a huge nerve with Art to want to make it a legal matter. Can't really blame him for that either.
Kind of funny then how many of us knew something was coming even before that stalker story. It was obvous to me and many others that he got tired of doing the show and it clearly showed as his patience grew thin and his enthusiasm seemed to shrink with each passing week. This is exactly what happened in the past before he "retired" as well and that ended with a bunch of excuses as well.

I'm dumb... don't understand why he doesn't?
Because he obviously does not give a shit. That became clear when he did absolutely nothing when affiliates started vaporizing in first place. He did not even make a call to the show.

Did I miss something regarding the Bell v. Savage soap opera?  I heard what Savage said but he mentioned no names. "You say UFOs, you wind up in the PHILIPPINES with a 10-year-old hooker and you are off the radio after a number of years.  You can’t do UFOs. That’s an in-joke, by the way, for people who understand the business."  How could Art file a lawsuit based on implication and/or assumption?  I guess you can.   Obviously the fans would make the connection.  Now I see it was settled.  Hmmm.  If I was Savage I wouldn't have settled a damn thing.  I thought talk-radio hosts were thick skinned.  But at any rate...this means Art is coming back, right?  :D
And that is what it was about in first place.. An opportunity for Art to get some cash.

QuoteA request for a retraction or correction was "ignored," the complaint states. "At present, Mr. BELL is strongly considering resumption of his radio broadcasting and journalism careers," the complaint adds. "However, the Statement has harmed his professional reputation and is hindering his efforts to return to broadcasting and journalism.
Oh what a fucking bunch of bullshit.
First it was the "stalker", then his lung disorder and now suddenly blaming this.
I thought he was to ill to ever return?

The behavior of Hoagland both when it comes to his theories and recent behavior when it comes to his show has convinced me that he suffers from narcissistic personality disorder.
Would explain his extremely arrogant personality, never being able to admit he is wrong and how he seems to care about no one but himself.

Another week has passed and yet still no sign of Hoaxland..

My father was a railroad clerk who was able to raise a family, buy a home and a new car right off the showroom floor--all on a salary barely above the minimum wage of the time.
Yeah things certainly have changed. Alot of people seem to live under the illusion that it has gotten better and that we are better off now, but it is just not true.
Used to be normal a few decades ago to have a single income with the wife of the household spending the day at home doing chores, and yet even the low income groups had it better off a few decades ago and it was also easier to "climb the ladder".

If you are from a low income family you are much more likely to stay that way today as well.

Oh I actually forgot one thing I agree with him on..
Climate change ;P

I find it odd that is not a deal breaker for most here, considering how many people here that seemed to be pro AGW.
Would think if anyone took it seriously would think he would be a disaster.

Actually, I viewed Trump as the third party candidate. I have troubles with both the democrats and republicans. Many more problems with the democrats though.
That is why I myself hoped he would win over Hillary, just in the small hope that he would change things up or at least completely wreck the 2 party system :P
But him filling up his cabinet with people from Goldman sachs or rich elitist donators just does not give me much hope and neither does his narcissistic behavior I am seeing.

I honestly really hope I am wrong about him.

I live in a relatively low cost of living area. Every job I see advertised (even jobs like HomeDepot and Walmart) all start out several dollars above minimum wage. Employers know they need to pay more to get better quality employees.
I am not saying there are not states or companies that offer higher minimum wages. What I am saying is that as a whole nothing will change, as there is no way most states will do that voluntarily. Even most of those that has raised it recently has still not kept up with inflation.

All I am saying is that minimum wages should be liveable.

There is nothing stopping a state or even a city from setting a higher minimum wage. Many do. It shouldn't be a federal issue. States need to be responsible and take their powers back.
Which means nothing will change. Besides the war on drugs the unliveable minimum wages is one of the main reasons for crime rates as well.

You won't acknowledge any good Trump might be doing and seem to know very little about it and certainly show no interest in learning. I think it's safe for me to label you as part of the irrational left now.  ;)
QuoteHe has done some good like the TPP and nafta.
Really??
I am also for stricter immigration policies/border control as well.

If he does end up creating alot of jobs I will give him credit for that. I just do not believe in the long run that he will create much of anything and I hope he proves me wrong on that.

You're obviously an entrenched leftist who's not paying any attention at all. Alibaba was talking 500 000 jobs; about 100 000 at Softbank; all the auto sector jobs, etc, etc. but yeah, he sucks and doesn't know what he's doing.  ::) ;D
And there you go again with labelling me with one group, just because I am for liveable wages.

It's not a matter of faith. He already has delivered with commitments from many corporations so far. You can choose not to believe if you want but you can't deny the facts.  :D
Oh a few thousand jobs, I am sure that is going to be a big deal for a population of more than 300 million.
It might look good when he saves a factory here and there, but it really is not more than a drop in the ocean.

Upping the minimum wage would create alot more jobs as that would mean more consumers.

And I have absolutely no faith in that he will deliver on that promise.
And what about minimum wage?? A large part of the working population are currently poor even though they work their ass off.
But since that is typical so called left politics I guess you are against that as well.

Obviously, for people like you Trump can do no right but he hasn't even been in a week and he's already done more for this country than any president since Reagan. The fact that you can see no good in it tells me where you are in the political spectrum. There are lots here who claim they're not on the left but just want to demonize Trump. Give me a break!  ::)
He has done some good like the TPP and nafta.
I honestly dont see what good he will do for average joe American though and I believe he will do what is best for him and his rich billionaire friends, like those that donated and those that he filled his cabinet with.

See! This shit right here is what I'm talking about. Ad hominem name calling is all you got. Which is the same as saying you got nothing. You're just another butthurt liberal with no good or even real argument.  :D
And there you just proved my point by putting me into a camp. And by the way I was not saying it is just republicans/Trump supporters that are brainwashed and I actually think the "lefties" suffer from the same thing.

Oh and by the way I actually wanted Trump to win just because of how sick I am of the democratic party and the bitch Hillary.
This does not mean I am naive enough to think that Trump will make "america great again" though.
If I had the ability to vote, I would have looked beyond the 2 system party scam and instead vote for a third party that is the closest to what I believe in and could very well be a mixture of so called left/right wing politics, as they both have politics i agree or disagree with.

You are really never going to get a real positive change as long as you keep voting for the same two parties who are mostly funded by the same elite.

You clearly did not get the point at all. Whatever example I would use would be my own OPINION, which might differ from yours.
But if you were actually open minded and not completey brainwashed I am sure you could find something you agree with from the left side as well.

Like filling up the swamp with globalists and financial elite, which was exactly OPPOSITE of what he promised?

Why is everything black and white for you guys?? Both right wings and left wings have certain policies that are good and bad, but yet you divide yourself into camps where you hate every single policy from the other camp.
