Quote from: HumanBeing on March 21, 2017, 03:10:15 PMMaybe he should have thought about that before going into contract with a new radio show??
Quote from: stlcoastfan1985 on March 10, 2017, 09:20:26 PMJust because some of us are smart enough to see through his story and notice the signs of his "retirement" weeks-months in advance of the stalker story, does not mean that we hate him or would want to hurt him.
One thought has occurred to me, and that's if there's that many Art Bell haters and that many people who apparently can't stand him and spend this much time talking trash about him, assume they know exactly what is going on in his life and what he's thinking, and argue countlessly with those who defend him, then I believe full well that it is entirely possible some psycho nutcase could be out there who would indeed want him dead and would take shots at him, either to kill him or merely scare him into going off the air. And who says they couldn't be smart enough to cover their tracks? You could even say the same for the Snoory haters, though they seem to be far more intelligent and far more sensible from what I have read in the past, but then again I already made the mistake of assuming everyone on here had at least half a brain and some form of common sense, so whatever.
Quote from: Dr. MD MD on March 09, 2017, 02:24:51 PMOr the constant change in the "stalker" story.
The actual police reports. :
Quote from: stlcoastfan1985 on March 09, 2017, 01:21:29 PMKind of funny then how many of us knew something was coming even before that stalker story. It was obvous to me and many others that he got tired of doing the show and it clearly showed as his patience grew thin and his enthusiasm seemed to shrink with each passing week. This is exactly what happened in the past before he "retired" as well and that ended with a bunch of excuses as well.
Whatever the case may be, I find it hard to believe that with all of the supposedly huge deals for his show that were on the table waiting to be signed that he would come up with a fake story like that. Especially after all of his past retirements and knowing full well the impact it would have on fans and the public beating he would and is obviously now taking. As far as the Savage fiasco, that too wouldn't be the first time someone has said something slanderous about Art and he's taken them to court over it. The difference here is that while Savage may not have mentioned Art by name, everyone knew who he was talking about and he not only insulted him but also his family, and I think that's where it struck a huge nerve with Art to want to make it a legal matter. Can't really blame him for that either.
Quote from: White Crow 🌔🌓🌒🌚 on March 07, 2017, 07:49:47 PMBecause he obviously does not give a shit. That became clear when he did absolutely nothing when affiliates started vaporizing in first place. He did not even make a call to the show.
I'm dumb... don't understand why he doesn't?
Quote from: ShayP on March 07, 2017, 08:59:03 PMAnd that is what it was about in first place.. An opportunity for Art to get some cash.
Did I miss something regarding the Bell v. Savage soap opera? I heard what Savage said but he mentioned no names. "You say UFOs, you wind up in the PHILIPPINES with a 10-year-old hooker and you are off the radio after a number of years. You can’t do UFOs. That’s an in-joke, by the way, for people who understand the business." How could Art file a lawsuit based on implication and/or assumption? I guess you can. Obviously the fans would make the connection. Now I see it was settled. Hmmm. If I was Savage I wouldn't have settled a damn thing. I thought talk-radio hosts were thick skinned. But at any rate...this means Art is coming back, right?
QuoteA request for a retraction or correction was "ignored," the complaint states. "At present, Mr. BELL is strongly considering resumption of his radio broadcasting and journalism careers," the complaint adds. "However, the Statement has harmed his professional reputation and is hindering his efforts to return to broadcasting and journalism.Oh what a fucking bunch of bullshit.
Quote from: Lt.Uhura on January 26, 2017, 03:02:59 AMYeah things certainly have changed. Alot of people seem to live under the illusion that it has gotten better and that we are better off now, but it is just not true.
My father was a railroad clerk who was able to raise a family, buy a home and a new car right off the showroom floor--all on a salary barely above the minimum wage of the time.
Quote from: GravitySucks on January 26, 2017, 02:32:17 AMThat is why I myself hoped he would win over Hillary, just in the small hope that he would change things up or at least completely wreck the 2 party system
Actually, I viewed Trump as the third party candidate. I have troubles with both the democrats and republicans. Many more problems with the democrats though.
Quote from: Dr. MD MD on January 26, 2017, 02:25:46 AMJust to make it clear.. I have absolutely no faith in Hillary doing any better either.
We voted out a can't do government for a can do one.
Quote from: GravitySucks on January 26, 2017, 02:19:10 AMI am not saying there are not states or companies that offer higher minimum wages. What I am saying is that as a whole nothing will change, as there is no way most states will do that voluntarily. Even most of those that has raised it recently has still not kept up with inflation.
I live in a relatively low cost of living area. Every job I see advertised (even jobs like HomeDepot and Walmart) all start out several dollars above minimum wage. Employers know they need to pay more to get better quality employees.
Quote from: GravitySucks on January 26, 2017, 02:11:04 AMWhich means nothing will change. Besides the war on drugs the unliveable minimum wages is one of the main reasons for crime rates as well.
There is nothing stopping a state or even a city from setting a higher minimum wage. Many do. It shouldn't be a federal issue. States need to be responsible and take their powers back.

You won't acknowledge any good Trump might be doing and seem to know very little about it and certainly show no interest in learning. I think it's safe for me to label you as part of the irrational left now.
QuoteHe has done some good like the TPP and nafta.Really??
Quote from: Dr. MD MD on January 26, 2017, 02:03:53 AMAnd there you go again with labelling me with one group, just because I am for liveable wages.
You're obviously an entrenched leftist who's not paying any attention at all. Alibaba was talking 500 000 jobs; about 100 000 at Softbank; all the auto sector jobs, etc, etc. but yeah, he sucks and doesn't know what he's doing. :![]()
Quote from: Dr. MD MD on January 26, 2017, 01:54:02 AMOh a few thousand jobs, I am sure that is going to be a big deal for a population of more than 300 million.
It's not a matter of faith. He already has delivered with commitments from many corporations so far. You can choose not to believe if you want but you can't deny the facts.
Quote from: Dr. MD MD on January 26, 2017, 01:43:12 AMAnd I have absolutely no faith in that he will deliver on that promise.
How about jobs?! That's not going to do anything for the average man. Are you shitting me?! Unbrainwash yourself now! Before it's too late!!
Quote from: Dr. MD MD on January 26, 2017, 01:32:37 AMHe has done some good like the TPP and nafta.
Obviously, for people like you Trump can do no right but he hasn't even been in a week and he's already done more for this country than any president since Reagan. The fact that you can see no good in it tells me where you are in the political spectrum. There are lots here who claim they're not on the left but just want to demonize Trump. Give me a break! :
Quote from: Dr. MD MD on January 26, 2017, 01:15:15 AMAnd there you just proved my point by putting me into a camp. And by the way I was not saying it is just republicans/Trump supporters that are brainwashed and I actually think the "lefties" suffer from the same thing.
See! This shit right here is what I'm talking about. Ad hominem name calling is all you got. Which is the same as saying you got nothing. You're just another butthurt liberal with no good or even real argument.
Quote from: 21st Century Man on January 26, 2017, 01:07:15 AMYou clearly did not get the point at all. Whatever example I would use would be my own OPINION, which might differ from yours.
Give some examples of good policies from the right and left and we shall address your concerns.
Quote from: 21st Century Man on January 26, 2017, 01:05:36 AMLike filling up the swamp with globalists and financial elite, which was exactly OPPOSITE of what he promised?
It is nice to see a President working his butt off on behalf of America instead of against America. I don't agree with 100% of the things he has done but I agree with 80%-90% of it.
Quote from: Dr. MD MD on January 26, 2017, 12:42:46 AMAlways amazes me how brainwashed you americans are brainwashed to see it as left vs right no matter what.
I would add thanks for causing the left to have a complete mental breakdown.
