An aging Hall of Fame pitcher took a call from his old road roomie the other day. He was a Hall of Famer himself, but was the multiple World Series winners catcher. The pitcher was surprised to get that call.

Very surprised indeed. You see, the catcher had fallen from the 12th floor of a landmark hotel the night that their numbers had been retired. Seems the catcher was pulling the old, I'll use the outside window ledge instead of the hallway to get more bourbon from the shortstop/1st room.

His old friend assured him that that was no prank call. Though he did have both good and bad news for the old pitcher.
The good news? They play ball everyday!
The bad news?? He was scheduled to pitch the next day.
