So are all of the people who freaked out starting to come down off the ledge now? Or did they already jump?

Why do people feel the need to bold their entire post, or make the font as big as humanly possible? I just skip over your post entirely.

To quit over Spooky Matter/Ghost to Ghost is just truly depressing.

I have NEVER liked the ghost to ghost shows. It's so boring. "And then I was walking down the hall and I felt a chill run through my body and something grabbed my leg and it was sooooooo scary." At least half of the calls are total BS anyway. Fabricated to get on the air.

Talk to Graham Hancock. Talk to Michio Kaku. Talk to Richard C. for all I care. I listen to Art for his interesting guests. I thought that show with the CIA guy was truly fascinating. Art is putting way too much weight behind the callers. I usually stop listening when he gets to the callers.

I really do not understand all the so-called issues. I never had a single problem streaming from my computer or from my phone. I loved the on-demand function. I would listen to the shows at work to help pass the time.

I understand why people are upset. For me, Art has always felt like more than just a radio show host. I've always felt like I actually knew him, like he was a close friend, so I can understand why people would feel betrayed, abandoned and a sense of grief over the loss of the show. I was so excited when Art first announced that he was coming back, and I have greatly enjoyed listening to him over the past six weeks, even though I don't think the shows have been especially great.

Personally, I hate the callers. I have never liked the Halloween shows because I think the callers are lame. The stories are fake and it's much less interesting than the guests. To end the show over something as silly as poor caller quality is just silly. I would much rather listen to four hours of Graham Hancock over the stumbling, bumbling blather of a caller who just wants to be on the air.

I too feel like this was a cop-out by Art, and I wonder if Art has trouble dealing with the adulation and outpouring of love that he receives every time he makes a return. I think Art just wants to talk about things that interest him, but he means so much to so many people and I always got the feeling that he had a hard time dealing with that.

"What can we do?" Are you kidding, Art's a big boy, this is how it works in the media business. Premiere has an investment to protect, Noory is just the host, the corporate people there are playing a little hard ball, not a big deal. Leno did the same thing with Lettermen, etc. Understand this, at this point Art's audience is a speck of dust compared to the circulation of Coast To Coast. We know Noory is terrible host, calling him names like a bunch of little girls, or even threatening to hit him says more about some of you, than it does about him. There is an upside to Bell having complete control of his show, as well as a down side. The downside is rearing its ugly head with the worst guest I've heard yet (former CIA officer). As bad as any of Noory's guests. Get this clear, Art doesn't want to be syndicated, Sirius XM's business model does not include syndication to terrestrial stations of original content.

I thought the CIA officer was much more interesting than the ghost sisters or another Whitley Streiber show.

I started this thread because I like Art, and I don't like how George and C2C are acting right now. I want to know if there are ways to support Art. If that means contacting guests, so be it. I'm not condoning any violence, but there are legal ways to hurt C2C and I'm in favor of it. Noory sucks. He tanked that show, and I want to help Dark Matter.

I love the "on demand" function. No commercials and I can listen whenever I want. I usually listen to Art while I'm working during the day, and I can go back and listen later if I don't finish the show. The on demand is one feature that I'm loving about XM.

I'd like to focus more on the guests that appear on Dark Matter.

As soon as a guest name is revealed, send a nice email to let him/her know how much you look forward to his/her interview on Art Bell's Dark Matter.

During the show, visit their website. Several times. They need to see lots of traffic.

After the show, send a nice email to the guest and tell them how much you enjoyed the show. Be sure to tell them that you look forward to their next interview with Art Bell.

The goal is to make the guests aware that their appearance on Art Bell's Dark Matter had a very positive effect with lots of people. :)

Oh I see, taking the high road, are we?  ;D

Affiliates aren't the way to go. Even if they wanted to, they can't get rid of him. Premiere & ClearChannel are the same company, and the reason he's on as many stations he's on is because they're all CC. He's their product, they don't want to pay another company for a different show, it's just easier to stick with Bargain Basement George. He's also packaged with Rush, so the non CC stations that buy Rush also have to take Coast.

No, the way to go is to email guests, tell them about Team Retard's antics & let them decide for themselves which team they want to play for.

We should start a campaign. Try to email guests as much in advance as we can. I don't know if we'll have much luck though. They're going on the show to promote a book, or a movie, or whatever it is that they're selling.

Start emailing guests.  8)

This is what I was thinking.... just start bombarding them with emails. It's too bad we can't go after his affiliates. Art is in competition with him, but not really because it's satellite radio. I would love to see affiliates start jumping ship.

For starters don't listen to the "other show" let the hot air blow into the vast emptiness.
A tree does make a sound if no one is around to hear it, but nobody knows or cares.

I stopped listening when Art left. I've never been able to stand George. Worst interviewer ever.

With all these underhanded and lame tactics going on from "the other show," I was wondering if there was anything we could do to strike back.

Not talking anything illegal, just wondering if there's anything we can do to make their life hell a little bit.

I honestly can't remember the first episode... it would have been when he was doing Dreamland because my dad was the one who introduced me to Art.

I didn't really start listening to Art until 2001 because I was working nights and a huge part of my evening was listening to C2C.

Hey everyone,

I'm a long time Art listener, but I'm new to BellGab. I've heard GIS on Art's show many times, and last night it sounded extremely phony.

The thing that really stood out to me was the forced dialogue by Brendan on the recordings. They didn't sound authentic at all. Especially the one where the radio wasn't working. It sounded like he was reading the words off a piece of paper.

Another one that stood out to me was when the woman supposedly said, "that poor girl is going to be scared" or something along those lines. That sounded very fake to me.

I don't know if the recordings are fake or not, but there were a few that sounded very..... questionable. Paired with the emergence of Mr. Chunga, the absence of Barbara, and the obvious forced dialogue from Brendan and I think I can comfortably say that something is fishy.
