I think there's a fundamental difference in thinking that someone is awful at what they do and George is pretty terrible, boring, etc., then actually hating someone.

Hello everyone, I've been lurking around here for quite awhile now(two weeks or so I guess). I found out about this forum because of Batemans now infamous "Colon-Blow" call and him mentioning something about Art Bell's new project before getting cut off, leading me to google about him and finding out about Dark Matter(thank you by the way!) and typing in George Noory Sucks and finding this site!
I started listening to coast when i was about 17 and I am 29 now and I honestly quit listening to C2C for about three years before tuning in that random night, before that very sparingly. My bane of contention with what the show has turned into is screened (lackof) open-lines, I used to get excited to tune in every friday and have the callers call in about anything, the journey some callers took filled me with a sense of interest and it was exciting radio. The guest have always been hit or miss personally, there's always been some that just knock me out due to boredom regardless of the host, but the caller's were always amusing.
I tried listening to the new format that you continue to push on us George, and it's just BORING, I really miss that unpredictability that the caller's brought into the mix, how they challenged guests and the host sometimes, I was always amazed how Art would play with it and turn it into entertainment.
I guess what I am asking is why are you so afraid of your audience George, why all the brick walls infront of you and your audience? Make the show exciting again, you have a dump button for out of hand caller's and we all know you know how to use it.
