25 mins. in and still bored with Bloom's interview.  Where's a scalding hot pizza roll when you need one?

It certainly didn't get any more interesting. If C2C was on air at any time other than the middle of the night, their audience would be near the bottom of the heap. Only PBS is more bland and dull than Coast has been recently.

...been listening since the Art Bell days.   I cannot believe this guy dropped Sparks. . . .   The phone line with Sparks was fine.  I had no problem hearing him.

Wasn't having a problem hearing Sparks either. But remember how Art would cut off callers if they were using cell phones when we could hear them all right on the radio? Maybe sound quality is different in in the host's head phones. I was enjoying listening to Sparks. Believe it? No, but it was interesting and I wanted to see where he'd go next with his story.

Howard Bloom? Interesting the first time he was on Coast, but this is repetitious. Also, too much like a lecture.

Sampled GZ a couple times. First time, interesting and held my attention for about 45 minutes. Then the ranting tone became annoying. It's hard to concentrate on what someone is saying or trying to say when they go non-stop rant mode. I've tuned out several political commentators, even when the topics were timely and pertinent, for this same reason. One can make a point without blasting it out. When the novelty wears off, I'm thinking GZ will be just another of those pound-the-table conspiracy programs with a small, but probably dedicated following.

Unfortunately, the listeners have changed. A large percentage of the audience are Protestant fundamentalists or gullible New Age devotees. I have Christian beliefs, and I respect some Buddhist, etc. tenets, but I'm not a big fan of "The Late, Great Raptured Earth" school of Harold Camping theology, as brought to you by Jack Van Impe. I can say the same kind of thing when it comes to consciousness physicists who share their messages, on changed frequencies in the next dimension, at their upcoming seminars.

That could explain it, a change in listener base. I'm open minded about religion and belief, but it's not a topic I expect to hear so much about on C2C. Agree with you about the consciousness movement and those who come on Coast promoting their theories and books. None of these subjects make for interesting late night listening. Better reserved for the lecture hall.

...then brings up his amazing cough/mute button. gee wiz george sure is dealing with a lot of technology.

Remember how much Art disliked cell phone calls? Sometimes asked the caller to call back on a land line and then ended the call.
As for tonight's program? Oh, no >:(  Another Bible and end times program. Don't George and the producers get the point that this isn't fare C2C listeners want to hear?  Grrrr

Noory's M.O.  Just going through the motions to get to the end of the show, if even that far.  He could care less about any interesting leads, unless it involves an all-you-can-eat pancakes offer at some 24 hour joint.

Yes, heard that call and was disappointed that George didn't follow up and get more information. She sounded entirely credible.

Found this group via a post at the People Who Miss Art Bell page at FB. Such a wealth of material to browse and enjoy.  I've been a C2C listener since 1994 or was it before that? A friend mentioned the program, I tuned in one night and was hooked. I recall that I was listening in 1994 because Art was discussing the "big controversy" of the day -- the alleged Tonya Harding sabotage of her rival Nancy Kerrigan. Oh, yes, tabloid news was all the rage way back then too  :(

The paranormal topics were fresh and intriguing back then since mainstream programming wasn't doing anything like this. Also, Art's casual and spontaneous format made for excellent late night listening -- just Art and the listeners sharing bizarre and spooky stories around the campfire as it were.

So . . . all these years later, still a listener here in southwest Oregon, though not quite as regularly and not quite as enthusiastically. The topics have grown a bit stale with repetition and the network managed program just isn't the same. Looking forward to reading posts and comments here  :)

One of the more interesting programs in recent months. My take -- there is a logical explanation. It just hasn't been unearthed yet (pun intended).

Unfortunately, even the topics that sound like they could be interesting end up disappointing.

Perhaps because we've heard about them before - more than once? Almost any topic, no matter how interesting the first or even second time around becomes less interesting, even boring, on subsequent hearing unless a totally new aspect is presented. Let's face it, most of the stock in trade Coast topics such as UFO's, alien life, NDE experiences, reincarnation and the after life, earth changes, etc. have been discussed repeatedly on the program going way back to Art Bell days. Little new to be said on these subjects.

As for subjects which lead me to tune out or turn off, religious topics except when approached from a strictly historical perspective top the list. A close second are medical and health topics (if I wanted to listen to a Dr. Oz, I would). Third are discussions of spirituality and prophecy which drag on for two or three hours dealing in nothing other than the guest's vague theories and speculations.

Unlike many here, I enjoy Jerome Corsi and Alex Jones. Though I don't buy into all that they present, there is a hard core of truth to some of it and it makes for lively discourse. Also, first hand accounts of UFO, Bigfoot and ghost experiences can make for fun listening. Believe the accounts? Nope, but it's still entertaining.

I joined Insider mainly to listen to the program on my iPhone and occasionally listen to a replay of a program I missed or want to hear again. Have never taken part in any of the chats since they are usually at a time when I'm busy. Since there are other apps for listening via smart phones and other mobile devices, if that's all one uses Insider for, it is questionable if it's worth it. As for George Noory, he's a competent radio professional with a pleasant style, not as incisive as I would like in handling guests and callers, but okay. Do think that he genuinely tries to relate to listeners and is sincere in caring about people. Nonetheless, I preferred the relaxed tone and spontaneity which Art Bell brought to the program. But, oh well, each host has his own style. Trying to keep the Coast topics interesting now that they've gone more mainstream has to be a challenge for them all and for the producers.

Did anyone look at the photo Richard presented? Obvious fake. One thing that also caught my eye is the fact that the building(s) on the left are different in each photo. Did anyone else notice this?

I like John B. Wells, but this seemed like a repeat of when John Lear was on.
Wells had difficulty getting a handle on the subject. Tried a few times to pin Hoagland down, but obviously Hoagland outmaneuvered him or perhaps Wells figured he wouldn't get straight answers so why keep trying. Does anyone else notice that Wells isn't proving to be the tough interviewer he seemed at first to be?

DUDES!  I'm telling you it's a CAT!

With a little imagination, like kids use when looking for images in clouds, one could "see" a cat image in this jumble of rocks. Obviously, of course, it's just a jumble of rocks and Hoagland chose to make a big deal and a career of sorts out of claiming to see a face.
