They just extended Noory's contract a couple weeks ago, although they didn't say for how long. I'm pretty sure it was mentioned in this thread but this conversation is moving so fast I couldn't begin to tell you how many pages back it is now.
supposedly a "long term" extension: http://www.premiereradio.com/news/view/1408.html

Desert Underwater (KLAS-TV)
KLAS-TV, Las Vegas, NV
The station used a sharply detailed series of reports and a prime-time special to explain how Las Vegas came to take such a crushing hit when the housing bubble burst.  The excellent online data base still helps foreclosure-threatened homeowners.

1476 Produces Strong Solar Flare
Just as we thought we have seen the last of Sunspot 1476, the former active region decided to produce a solar flare reaching above the M5.0 level. The event reached M5.1 and peaked at 01:47 UTC Thursday morning. A bright CME was generated but because of the spots location, the plasma cloud will be headed mostly to the west.

"After more than a week of solar storm warnings, sunspot AR1476 is turning away from Earth with a mostly unblemished record of quiet. The decaying behemoth never lived up to its potential as a source of X-class solar flares."

Junior Seau's death came with 'zero warning'

"I don't understand who (did) this to my son," said his distraught mother, Luisa, who wept outside his home as she was comforted by well-wishers.

Sounds like KOH Reno is cutting their remaining ties to the sinking ship.  They cut Coast from the schedule not long ago.

Mel Walters from '02 on now, what a hoot!  I grew up in Ellensburg and spent a lot of time running around Manashtash Ridge on dirt bikes and Jeeps.

I think Mel jumped the shark with the story about Basque sheepherders lowering a sheep into the Nevada hole.   Baby seal with human eyes that speaks through a boombox?  Humbug!   ;)

Thanks again for the stream.

Point taken, same thing happens with broadcasters who say "OR-RAY-GONE" vs. "OR-UH-GUN"

Actually, I think JBW improved a little this week.  Still a long ways to go though.

Thank you for providing this stream!  :)
Art Bell's hosting skills are a pleasure to listen to, regardless of the topic.  The host, the guests and the callers were so much better orchestrated back then, somewhere in time.

Did anyone else notice that 7 minutes into the show JBW flubbed on the pronunciation of "Nevada"???
Got a chuckle out if that.  Out in the high desert, the silence was deafening.

It's been painful to listen to this mess tonight.  Round and round looking for a purpose in nothing.
