Radio and Podcasts / Re: Midnight In The Desert

Welcome to Midnight on the Desert Dave. Like many resubbed. One of the things I loved about Art's old shows were the mix of science, history, nde's and the wide range of topics. Some have already mentioned true crime and it would be nice to have topics like Space and Physics mixed in. All the best with the new show.

Thanks a lot flying robot. Great to have that tribute. Will probably bring a tear or two.

Is this show basically dead? Been a sub from the beginning, and it seems to be any excuse not to broadcast. For all the shite Hoagy gets he did do about 3 shows a week for a year. Got thanksgiving and Christmas coming up so doubt there will be much done then, then the new year hangover. I live in Europe so only get to hear these shows after the fact. I gave up on Heather as she wasn't my thing but I will stay this, she really kept going.

I've been enjoying well's shows lately. I thought the Binney one was very informative, but Larry Nichols is so full of shite. This is the same gobshite who went on radio shows talking about how he was dying from cancer and asking for money then giving it to his mrs. There were shows where he actually pretended to almost die. Idiots like that doesn't do the show any favours.

I think a lot of stuff like the "you knows" comes down to tiredness. I notice when I get really tired I tend to add a lot more swear words to my speech to make up for it when I'm bad. When I'm wide awake which doesn't happen this much these days I tend to be a lot more coherent. Basically what Segundus said as well.

She's very annoying and is still a Rense regular. Do think Well's should have had better guests after going to 4 days a week.

I'd rather quality then quantity and so far really enjoyed any of Amy's shows I've listened to. Maybe it's because she has more time to research or just that she's highly inquisitive and actually seems interested in what the guests are talking about. I do find it funny that Dark Matter has lost Amy, Jimmy Church, Howard Hughes and Hoagy as could you imagine what the network could have been like. Well worth the fiver a month.

Latest from Art on Facebook.

Trump Problem?

Ok now I am not sure, this morning on CNN Trump was asked if he would disavow the support of David Duke and the KKK, he said he didn't know who they are and would have to look at them, BS! He knows. I am a little confused because other papers say he did disavow Duke and the KKK. I would not support a Racist and would be really disappointed because I do believe we truly need a Washington outsider in the White House for a change, sigh....

Guardian James seems to be a English lad living in Germany whose policy is anti-occupy. Basically do nothing. Seems a weird choice as a guest but at least it makes a change from the endless supreme justice stuff.

That Stalker guy was great. Get him as host of Midnight in the Desert.

John Lear, as sane as ever.

Think I'll probably cancel. No real interest in a Art free show, plenty of other options out there. I'll probably stay with Hoagie a while just out of curiosity though.

Hard to know what's going on with RCH, seems to be making a play for the main show. And he has a point. Art has left a lot of people in the lurch. At the end of the day though 10 dollar's a month seems fair enough to support this who ever stays around.

In all fairness I got a email telling me to quit the subscriptions. Not planning on doing that just yet, want to see what happens and I actually enjoy Hoagland's insane ramblings, well worth 5 dollar's a month.

As someone who just enjoys interesting radio I can really recommend it as well. His shows go from total and utter nonsense to some of the best radio I've heard in ages. He can be a bit of a religious nut but he is also one of the most open minded hosts willing to let the guest speak. One of the great things about it is one segment can last a hour and a half, so if the topic is interesting tends to be given a lot of room to be explored. And if it's a rubbish topic simply move onto the next section. The downloads are designed in such a way you can ignore the opening monologue and simply listen to what interest you.

Good to see Hoagie getting some new guests again. I look forward to Mondays interview with the Postman and Tuesdays with the Milkman.

Really sorry to see you go Rossy. Can honestly say Otherside has ended up been my favourite podcast, and I listen to a lot. Thanks for all your hard work and getting the best out of RCH.

Hoagy's show sounds great tonight, or this morning. I get confused too. Was away quite a lot recently so have weeks to catch up on, but what I like about it is it's so varied. Not as big a comic geek as I used to be but I still love them. Recently it seems to have gone from absolutely nothing to listen to not having enough hours in the day. While I am curious about Art's announcement he does seem to do this a lot.

To be fair, I have checked every response on here, and Doctor Carl is the only actual Doctor, so I believe he knows what he's talking about.

Used for evil? So he foresaw the Noory then.

Funnily enough I really enjoy Hoagies Open Lines. Not a fan of them normally, even with Art, but that insane guy who rings up shouting at RCH nearly every third call alone makes it worth listening to.

I keep meaning to give this a try. So many podcasts these days it's hard to keep up, but I do need one to replace the sadly missed Piper's Pit. I loved Piper as he was so insane and while he repeated himself a lot, his heart was definitely in the right place. Flair was always my favourite back in the day alongside Macho in the WWF.

There has been talk of Hoagie's show going up to 3 hours. And Art's is going up in price soon anyway.

Hoagy's show has been pretty good. Well worth the price in my opinion.

I'm finally catching up on older podcasts of this show, and have to say it's really great fun. I was always going to subscribe as for years Richard was one of the very few reasons to listen to Coast, but it has far surpassed what I expected. It has made me smile a lot. Looking forward to listening to last nights now after reading the comments.

I really enjoy listening to Richard. He has a enthusiasm I like, and often has me thinking about things I wouldn't normally consider.  He's also very funny. I'll keep subscribing mainly for all the entertainment he's given me over the years.

C2M is by far the most insane podcast I have ever listened too. Never know if you are going to listen to it and decide to never ever listen to this rubbish ever again, then next night ends up been a guest that brings out the best in Wells. It has some of the best and worst podcasts I have ever heard. Worth the fiver a month though.

Edited to add the 2nd most insane, I listen to the Roddy Piper podcast too. That is genuinely nuts.

I have Hoagy, Midnight in the Desert and Caravan to Midnight, also Rense for old times sake. Gave up totally on C2C when Noorie hounded Steven Hawkins  co writer to get him on the show instead of using one the great minds for an amazing interview.
