Not sure her name and don't even want to know
but the bimbo who is into the "ZETA TALK NONSENSE"

Nancy Lieder is ridiculous! There is ridiculous-entertaining (some of the ones mentioned above like Quayle, Hoagland, and Jones are well and entertaining enough) but Lieder is a whole other category channeling zetas. It's hilarious so i guess it isn't the worst ever since the worst ever is probably any one of a number of just boring people who probably got kicked off mid-show for doing nothing but trying to sell something the whole time which is just disappointing.

it doesn't show up any longer in the last search. i would actually be more likely to associate the predilection associated with the search term with art than george in all honesty...

Sorry I never got back to you   :(   I was going through a really difficult semester, but I got through it okay  ;)     Anyway,  if your offer is still open I would like to take you up on it and get the shows that people have narrowed down to have the requested call.

Cheers

I'm looking for this "Shelton, terminate the call from A-6" call as well; I thought I would be able to find it on youtube but no dice. If anyone knows a link to this it would be hyperappreciated.

...anything Linda Moulton Howe...

It's kind of a trainwreck thing for me with LMH... last week there was a show with her where the first hour she interviewed an astrophysicist at CU Boulder who essentially lectured on the abundance of black holes at the centre of galaxies... only to be followed  by a "a technical specialist in security for a Homeland Security subcontractor" who "was presented as black writing on a metallic slate" from a "Dragonfly-shaped aerial craft" that told him “Those from Oltissis are downloading their life essence into the dragonfly drone craft in order to control (from afar?) and do the tests that they need to do with these (dragonfly drone) craft.”

I can only imagine the astrophysicist telling some of his colleagues that he was going to be doing a radio interview that they should listen in, only to be followed by Oltissis and Ethos guy.

Something to love about the show is how it treats PhD Astrophysics guy with the same level of credence it treats Oltissis and Ethos Dragonfly Drone guy. But also something to fear if you take it too seriously.

Radio and Podcasts / Re: It's Truly Getting Old

agree with what's been said above. I've liked a lot of the guests and really listen entirely for the guests now. I pretty much will always check the website before I listen but honestly I've been surprised by shows sometimes. I share everyone's exasperation. I'm glad that there are still interesting guests mixed together but Noory is rough to listen to.

Only gives 5 options, but Others would include Hilly Rose, Rollye James, Barbara Simpson, and obviously George Noory. Who would you pick?

One of the things i've recently noticed on C2CAM is the use of the term "Story" to describe everything that anyone "reports" on the show, as if the people calling in are reporters in the field and the guests (particularly short, first hour guests) discussing their various topics, Noory will often use the term "story" or "report" to describe it.

I'm not sure if this bothers anyone else, but the regularization of the term (which was rarely used by Art or even really Punnett, Knapp, Siegel, Strieber, or Simpson) really gets to me. It's like anything that is on the show is being presented as a "breaking news story" being reported. There are some instances where this is appropriate, but the term has become broadened to near-meaninglessness.

Random Topics / Re: fuck open lines
July 12, 2011, 02:25:44 AM
Open lines used to be my favorite part of the show with Art Bell! Now they are not fun at all! I miss old open lines that were the last truly open lines out there on a national broadcast.

Fun topic. Recent shows which fit the general category I dislike of and "(not para)normal" shows that I turned off or just didn't turn on after going to the website include include Metaphysical Journey, Rock Music & 1970, and Missing Persons in Nevada.

I used to love open lines with Art but now that there is a call screener I essentially never listen to the program on Friday nights, which is a shame because I used to very much enjoy the unexpected randomness that you just don't get anymore- it's gotten very predictable (and proselytizing)

No one is Art Bell. But I think it is possible to try and be more like Art Bell, to emulate what was successful and so appealing and invigorating about his program. It wasn't just his guests; it was the variety, and the genuine interest and effort Art would put in to give them a voice. He gave everyone the same level of interest and commitment as an interviewer, genuinely trying to hear and listen and ask questions and never, ever, milked it in. His questions either demonstrated he was listening and knew what the guest was talking about or were designed to help him (and therefore, the listener) understand or clarify what was unclear to him.

Radio and Podcasts / Re: John B Wells 7/10/11

interesting topic. I like Wells' voice, and think there's a chance he's related to a certain other Wells, but I find the preachy-ness a bit irksome.
