How about--Clear as a Bell?

Combines broadcasting, great sound, wisdom, exact expression and Art's name.  That said I also like Midnight in the Desert.

So, under Penalty of Perjury this lady says that they own the shows I did for Sirius/XM? Wow I guess
they made a bigger deal then I thought. They just keep coming at me.

Art

I can't see them having a leg to stand on--sounds like someone who over spoke.

Ok, this should keep you all busy. I have a question for all of you and it is what do you think the name of the
show should be? It can be anything from Dark Matter to The Art Bell show to New and Shiny Things. I am up
for ideas.

Art

Well I do like the title Dark Matter.  How about The Kingdom of Nye...or Art Bell's Kingdom of Nye.  The Dark Realm.  Raging into the Night.

See my answer at the top of the page.

Art can you set the record straight. Was I responsible for the down fall of Dark Matter or was I simply your handy Skype tech support? Let's lay this rest once and for all. :P

Andy from Australia.

Well you could at least call the Kardasians--it would do the world great good!

Jazmunda--have you ever thought of using your power of cursed phone calling for the power of good and good causes?

As some have mentioned--with Coast.  And could you please call the Kardasians?

Well the deal is I can only announce when the Network decides they want to do a Press release, I do not want to upstage them. I am not sure what their thinking is. I should have word on that sooner then later. They may wish to wait till closer to the first show but it's their call. My guess, we will do a announcement at the same time.

Art

Cool.

Art--are you going to have Ross Mitchell doing the voice work for the show?  To me--you, the music and Ross are essential parts of the Art Bell experience.

Dark Matter. I did not say none of the old Guests would be on, that's just silly but I intend to explore new things and ideas because the show needs fresh blood. Honestly I just don't or can not describe what will happen, if I could why do it? The magic is in the ride.

What I think happened with Dave is 1. He can not deal with anything unexpected so they stopped most open lines. 2. He is unable to deal with any technical topics so they limited his exposure to those and played it safe. I could go on but I will not. My point is when you have to become that careful you also remove what made the show a adventure to listen to. Now you pretty much know where it is going or put another way where it can not go.

Art

Art--not to be corny but I think the difference is you are an artist at heart while Dave is a careerist...a careerist with little imagination or curiosity.

Also like that you are not a bland nice guy but have some edge, crankiness at times--life presents times when that is necessary!

Regarding some shows bombing--yes it happens but I think you kind of have what Johnny Carson had when one of his monologue jokes bombed...the reaction and playing off of the bomb often is the fun.

Yeah I'd add Graham Hancock there too.

Ok, I think what we will do is a really good question and my only answer is whatever is fun and interesting. Will it be the same show, perhaps not. When I went to Sirius/XM I did retrench some Guests and it may have been a bad idea, I will not do that this time. As I have mentioned before unscreened open lines led to some of the wildest new topics that we did. Many of those have been done to death by Dave, I feel no need to talk Shadow People if you feel me.

Trying to rehash stuff is a mistake.

Art

I assume it will be a ride though!

PLEASE don't not let this devolve into how to make my back better. Maybe there is no way to stop it like Roswells, I understand the way it happens, if it worked for me it will work for you type thinking.
Even I can't stand reading this stuff, thank you for the good intentions but let's talk about anything else.

Have I mentioned KNYE?

Art

Yep Art--probably best to focus on anything other than your back.
