Where'd that rumor come from?

Like I posted to Onan, with that info, it wouldn't be a rumor, it'd be hard facts! hahaha

I've been told that by 3 different, unrelated satellite radio geeks who know I like Art. So it's a rumor coming from somewhere.

Richard C Hoagland always has the worst phone connection.

I picture him on an old rotary dial, baby blue princess phone.

I'm hoping for Knapp weekends myself. I'm not sure why the replays if there's On Demand..

Because their lineup on this channel is crap and will pull more viewers.  It's rumored this channel may go all paranormal radio with Art being the flagship.

I'm okay with replays on weekends too. I listen casually, so if miss something because my attention is elsewhere, I'll likely hear it then.

BRING ON THE DICK!

That's definitely a Canadian.

How tall is Art? Is he freakishly tall or does he only like to have photos with short women?

Oddly enough, I listened to 2 old shows this week where he answers both those questions. He's like 6'1 and his wife is 4'8.

Dude, Sirius is unrestricted and unrated. They could of just said fu and kept the commercials. They took the spots out the very next day.

Yep. I wish this would non-issue would fall off the board. It's over, who cares?  Sorry anyone was offended by it, but it was Monday and it was taken care of. Let's move on and enjoy Art.

You are right Renaldo but it is refreshing to communicate with critical thinkers who can see through it all and have fun doing it.

Oh yeah, totally agree with that. Just getting tired of people saying Art should, or why isn't he, etc.
#50
For anyone saying Art needs to call the guest on his bullshit....

Have any of you actually listened to Art Bell? Ever? Art's not confrontational. Art's rarely called anyone on BS.  Art will tell you (and he's said it on the air, time and time again) that he provides a forum for people to express their ideas. He'll let them talk and explain as much as they want, basically giving them enough rope to hang themselves. Some people don't hang themselves and you get really good storytelling on the radio. Some people do hang themselves, and you get really good storytelling.

Question:  Do we know FOR SURE that Art is always going to do a 4 hour show?

Nope. He's guaranteed he'll do 3 hours, and do a 4 hour show a couple nights a week.  I'm betting he does 4 hours more often than not though, especially at the beginning.

Here's another. Oh, I should send Art a cartoon of Chupacabras at Westminster Dog Show.  A horror version of the film Best In Show. Starring Parker Posey as an alien hybrid.

hahaha you may have a case for Ms. Posey, and I bet she may agree with that.

I wonder if he's going that hour tonight so they can see how many people they draw away from C2C.

He thought that guy was JC hahahha

"What does Bell think of the man who replaced him on Coast, George Noory? He’s a lazy broadcaster, Bell says, indifferent to what he puts on the air. “This fellow, half the time, he doesn’t sound like he’s listening to his guest. He’ll come back and ask a question that had just been answered five minutes previously. Or he’ll inject a complete non sequitur. The guest will be talking about Bigfoot, and he’ll ask, ‘Well, does that have something to do with angels?’” Worse, “there’s a lot more politics in it, a lot more medical crap in it, a lot of New Age-y crap that I won’t touch. I prefer science.” Bell hopes competition will raise all boats. “It betterâ€"otherwise George’ll be a submarine.” Fans seem to agree: The first Google autocomplete hit on Noory’s name is “George Noory sucks.”

Looks like the "Mothership" took a big hit from the USS Enterprise. Well, today begins a new dawn of radio. Buh bye George, with your angels, and other stuff. Glad I never subscribled to the "Coast Insider", that cash is going to Sirius XM so I can listen to the better host.

Wow.. that's great! Finally printing out exact thoughts on Noory. All the stuff we complain about right here. ANGELS! hahahahaha

A ) Art just asked the caller if he was the crazy RV radio guy in 2012.  ART, HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE YOU.

B ) Yogi Bear's from Jellystone, not Yellowstone. Jeez!

i do wonder if art has the ability to extend his show hours, or if sirius is pretty set on keeping the schedule.  i know he could do this back in the days, so given the freedom sirius allows him, what could stop him now?

Art has 6 or 8 hours, I believe. I forget. Whatever it is, it's a huge chunk of the channel's day, and he can use it has he pleases. Whatever he doesn't use live, they use to repeat the show.

Will "Ride My Seesaw" be the permanent opening theme music, I wonder?

Probably. Art said before that he picked a new show opener. I'm guessing that's it.
