Radio and Podcasts / Re: John B. Wells

For anyone interested, Alex Jones interviewed John B. Wells on his Thursday, Oct. 20 show.  You'll get insight into some of his opinions.

AsI write this, the C2C website is advertising George Knapp as host for this upcoming Sunday, Oct. 23.

I would open the show with One of these Days by Pink Floyd - such a cool song IMO.  It sounds extra special in the middle of the night.

Here's hoping George Knapp stayed away from the basketball court... last time he played, didn't he injure himself?
I wonder if he had internet problems again this week.   We'll find out next time we hear from him.
His profile is still listed on KLAS website.  Anyone in Vegas watching the news?
Personally, I think George Knapp is professional and would keep personal feelings, if he had any negative feelings, out of doing his job.

George Knapp's last minute absence may be totally innocent... perhaps technical difficulties or sudden sickness. (have you ever had a bad meal that doesn't agree with you?).  I'm going to wait for his explanation and I bet it's a valid reason.

For me, it's more than a topic that turns it off.  I rarely listen on Saturday nights anymore.  I think the last Jason the horse show was the clincher.

You'd never hear UFO Phil again if I was the hostess....
My list would include
Abba - SOS
Doors - The End
ELP - Endless Enigma
Rush - Spirit of the Radio
Jethro Tull - Broadsword
Muse - Apocalypse Please, United States of Eurasia, Take a Bow, and Uprising

you must have missed Ian's onair discussion some months back when he had health issues and said he had to cut back to only Saturday nights - his own choice and decision.
since then there have been a variety of fill-in hosts on the second Sunday each month, including Whitley Strieber.
thanks for the clarification.  i don't listen to many of Ian's shows, so I wasn't aware.

I like Alex Jones. I cant think of any other reporter covering politics as well. If you want to know whats going on I think its better to check his website a time or two a week than any other news website. I think you just get more relevant information.

Its up to the reader to filter out what is over hyped and what isn't. That is far easier than visiting a news website and not seeing 1/100th of whats really happening.

His show does feel a bit scattered. I wish he would boil things down to a more organized 30 minutes and lose the rants or sidetrack information. He seems to do well when he has guests, so maybe the deal is he needs a sidekick or two constantly there to bounce him back on track.

I do like his shorter appearances on C2C. Like his news website, I wouldn't mind hearing him every week or two with a few minutes summing things up.

I like Alex also.  I don't buy everything he sells, though.  I wish he would calm down sometimes and let his guests speak more rather than his highjacking the interview.
He had George Noory on as a guest last week, by the way....

Is there proof beyond 'feelings' that George Knapp may be slowly pushed out?  Hasn't he recently increased his involvement by working a couple of Fridays in addition to his 2 Sundays per month?
Until recently, didn't Ian Punnett take the second Sunday of the month?  Is his recent absence from the second Sunday his choice or decision of producers?
Is it possible that by bringing in the occasional appearance of John B Wells and Rob Simone that C2C wants more that 1 full time and 2 part time hosts, especially since Art is now permanently gone?  Knapp and Punnett have full time jobs, so it's a lot of eggs in the George Noory basket.  Maybe they want to groom more backup in case Noory calls in sick.

George is a pleasure to listen to.  I like his disc jockey attempts when he explains the bumper music, and his introduction about being in the right place at the right time.  If I was living in Las Vegas, I'd watch his channel just to see his reports.

She is scheduled for this Thurs. (Sept. 29).  I'll pass, as I always do when she is on.  IMO, her voice is annoying.  She sounds like she is reading.  How did she end up with the once a month C2C gig?

I love Swamp People.  Willie is one tough dude and is my favorite.  (the missing tooth adds to his character)

Within the last couple of years, on a Saturday night, Ian interviewed someone who claimed Sonny Bono was murdered.  That was a fascinating interview, IMO.

I like Ian Punnett and last night's show was pretty good, but did anyone catch how many times the guy he was interviewing said "you know?" It was particularly bad near the end of the show. At one point, he said "you know" nine times in thirty seconds. It was, you know, nerve-racking.

Yes, the 'you know' is annoying.   Ian has an annoying habit also... while guests are giving answers, he repeatedly says 'Right'.

Personally, I'm more of an Adam person than John.  But, they are a good team.  I like the way they call people 'douchbags'.

Some of my favorites are G. Edward Griffin, Jim Marrs, and Gerald Celanti.

OK, here is my opinion.
Ian might interrupt, occasionally stutter and monopolize the conversation.
Art would talk about and show pictures of his young wife, his daughter, and his young nanny. (sorry, but I only started listening in 2008 and the few times I heard him, I think he offered too much personal info)
Therefore, I would enjoy dinner with either George.  I'd be in awe listening to the Knappster.

Hey IvannZ.  I agree with you.  I joined this forum earlier this year thinking I could discuss Coast to Coast AM.  I'm just an ordinary Canadian, not a troll as was suggested.   I posted a thread about my appreciation of George Noory, and then found out that's the wrong opinion here.  So, if you are sincere about liking George Noory as I am, you are in a minority position here.  But, I enjoyed your post.

Radio and Podcasts / George Noory appreciation
July 17, 2011, 03:11:38 PM
I recently joined this forum, and I want to start a positive thread of comments about George Noory.  Personally, I like him, and I'm hoping there are other members of this forum who feel the same way.  To me, George is inquisitive and is a seeker of the truth.  Yes, he makes some mistakes, but who of us doesn't?   IMO, he is trying to make the world a better place.   I  think he is a good host.  If there are others on this forum who have positive comments about George, please post here.  thanks.

Hi, brother.  It's a pleasure to have you here, and hopefully this is the first of many posts to come.  By the way... I've been to Canada a couple of times.  Greatest people in the world.  The USA could have no better neighbor.

Thank you, Michael.  To set the record straight, I'm a sister. I've been to the US several times and I think Americans are wonderful people.  It will be fun to discuss this show.

In the morning.... I had to listen to this show 3 times before I started liking it, but now I am a fan.  They make some interesting points.  Give it a try.

Here is my first CoastGab post.  I'm a Canadian and have listened to C2C for about 3 years.  Sometimes I listen live when I have trouble sleeping, but mostly, it's through Streamlink.  George Knapp is my favorite host, but I like George Noory also.  C2C has opened my mind about many issues. I look forward to posting on this forum.
