At this break I am going to pack it in. I'm sure Mrs. Flash will want me out on the dog hike bright and early.

I hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving and will be sleeping through as much of Black Friday as possible.

See y'all tomorrow.
sweet dreams Flash!

Thanks for this.  I will reacquaint myself with the program.  I really used to enjoy it.

WCPE, which I'm enjoying tonight, is interesting to me because it was one of the very early net simulcasters, not to mention being one of the few private classical stations.  (There is another in Seattle, iirc, among a few others.)
I love cello and violin. I'll look up the station.

Flash and Barfly, thx you for your service. And life spirit that you invested in that. And to any other veterans here.

I think that used to broadcast terrestrially on our college radio station. Maybe it still does and I've lost track. How does the free Sunday show work? Can I use my own external stream player?
hmmm,  I would think so. Go to www.hos.com and see if you can play one of the free test shows at anytime. every Sunday, a new weeks show is broadcast, and you don't have to be a member to listen.

YW.  I wonder if that is the same radio program I used to listen to late on Friday or Saturday nights in the early-to-mid 90s on educational radio.  The host (a man) always introduced the program as  "music from the hearts of space."
yes. Npr usually plays an hour a week somewhere. I buy a year of play so I can listen whenever I want. It keeps me sane.

Totally off topic, but I'm listening to WCPE's (theclassicalstation.org) 'Sleepers Awake' program.  I perked up because I heard the closing theme from Alien.

I had always assumed it was by Jerry Goldsmith, who scored the film.  In fact it was an older piece by Howard Hanson, from his Symphony No. 2, that Ridley Scott used for the closing scene.

thx for sharing this. As a serious "Hearts of Space" (www.HOS.com, free on Sundays!) fan, this is right up my alley.

I dont listen to Dave, so what you are saying is he is playing the same bumper music as Art?
not very creative on his part
I wander over every once in a while. I've heard Cuscoq, and that was Arts most favourite group yeArs ago.

On another note, I find Graham always interesting to listen too.

Mrs. Flash has tried various herbals on me. I'll have to check if this is one of them.
make sure it's well sourced and fresh. Old herb, or improperly prepared, will render it ineffective. Good and well made Arnica salve will help cut the pain. I trained at the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine in Bisbee AZ years ago. The owner, te late Michael Moore was a BRILLIANT herbalist. Miss him.

Matter of fact, while I was living in a mining shack there doing this work, I could get any radio signals in the hole I was in. But I could listen to Art over t he internet on my computer. Loved listening to him in the middle of the night.

I missed that trash cans somehow.

The thunder clap is absolutely Art's sounder. Hands off, jorch!
Dave has grabbed most all of Art's sounds & bumper music. He's an Idiot.

No, it makes you normal.  And their use of it is a direct attempt at trying to prove they "stole his thunder".

In short, C2C is lame.

edit:  But I have to agree with Norland.  I don't listen to "crap to crap" any more...  unless maybe Mr. Knapp does a good show.
George Knapp is my future ex-husband 😁💜😁. Love him. He does some great news here, and has for years.

After an earlier morning with the dogs followed by a few unavoidable tasks to fix stuff broken by many days running of brisk winds I was able to blissfully drift off to the land of Nod. It interrupted my sports watching, but I was grateful for the relief. I don't want to dip very deep into the pharmacy. That's for emergencies only -and- it really doesn't work. Better to keep it moving as long as possible - and then collapse. Somewhere in there I did cook dinner for Mrs. Flash. I seem to recall her saying thanks and that it was really good.
your a good man there taking care off all of that. Have you tried an external applications of Arnica cream /oil? http://www.herbalist-alchemist.com/category/HERBAL-OILS--OINTMENTS-6I know David, and his products are high quality.
