Character 1) James "Chameleon" Rebhorn - A touching homage to an outstanding actor, recently deceased. Symbolically providing one last opportunity to perform on stage... post-mortem.  And you can bet your antique marbles that Reb(h)orn made an appearance at the event. Such a sly evocation on my part. All part of The Game†... Light dancing on the Windowpane†... Acid rain. (†see "Celebrity Deaths" pg 46. MV reply 1355)

Character 2) Arthur "Artichoke" Bricker - Based loosely on a famous radio talk show host who always choked at the microphone if he suddenly realized he had forgotten to carry on his person his lucky Native American medicine bag. Since he rarely forgot that amazing gift from the high desert, he rarely choked.

But on those few times he did..... it was BIG CHOKE time... like gluing your lips together big or almost walking off the end of a deck and impaling yourself on  iron rebar big. Or agreeing to a non-compete big...

(The Native American medicine bag is a powerful thing. Remember: Don't choke without it.)
