CoastCanuck, have you had bouts with muscle cramps or wrestless legs when finally reclined and in bed for the night?
Yes, this is my case.  My doctor said I need to take more calcium/magnesium, and taking it before bedtime calms down my RLS and let's me have a good night's sleep while I obey doctor's orders.

7/29/12

Joining George Knapp in the first half, the Founder of Free Our Family, Bill Scott, will share a terrifying experience when he and his wife invited a young lady who was demon possessed and the member of an active satanic network into their home. What happened were death threats, voices, objects falling & moving, and strange visitors & callers.

In the latter half, journalist Matt Baglio chronicles an American priest's training as an exorcist and how the phenomena of possession, demons, and the Devil are not merely a remnant of the past, but remain a fearsome power in many people's lives.
I'm curious how this show will turn out... my first impression is that religion may be part of the conversation, not usually Knapp's dept.  Wonder how he'll deal with it.
Another Sunday night of Knapp, even if it's the third of the month, is always a good thing in my books.

insomnia and sleeping problems in general annoy me. its only been 24 hours, but when I get them, these little bouts of insomnia can turn ugly. i hate not being able to fucking sleep.
For me, taking calcium/magnesium in the evening (about an hour before bedtime) helps me sleep like a baby...  just my experience.  (Disclaimer:  "I am not a physician and am not prescribing")

I know it would never happen, but I'd love Jesse Ventura to be the host.  It would change the show dramatically.  He could do conspiracy type shows like he did for his tv show (Area 51, etc). plus shows on the government, etc.    I don't know how his 5 months a year in Mexico would work out though, but if he started having an effect, it might encourage him to stay on line instead of becoming a hermit in Mexico each year.  my 2 cents.

Jesse Ventura killed it last night! Excellent middle two hours.
I listened to these 2 hours today.  Jesse was excellent.  Most of the callers  (and the call screener who let them on) sucked, IMO.   If I heard correctly:   First, some guy saying Tom Danheiser is the best, then the next guy, who was an electrician, asking an irrelevant question to Jesse about forces (Jesse said he can't comment because he knows nothing about the subject), and then a question about wrestling (what was better?  WWF or alternative or something like that).
For those of us who enjoyed Jesse, he said he'd be happy to appear again on C2C in September, so I hope they book him.

Go to the 6:00 minute mark of this video for George Knapp comments on Area 51.  (i love his kiss off gesture!)

I would like to see concealed carry allowed in Canada......  Still, I would prefer to be allowed to carry if I chose.
I agree with these statements, but unfortunately, I don't see this right ever being offered to us Canucks.  And I don't see any Canadian political party who would touch this cause.

Here is my understanding of what a Canadian has to go through to obtain a hand gun (as told to me by a certified gun instructor here in Ontario).  Please feel free to point out any errors since you have gone through the process? (are you in Alberta?)
1. You must pass tests proving you know how to handle and fire a gun (this is accomplished via a gun club).
2. After passing the test, you must apply to the government to purchase a gun.  Being a member of a gun club and using it for recreation only are the conditions.  When asked why you want to own a gun, stating self defense is not a valid excuse and results in denial.
3. You must own a certified locking cabinet at home to store your gun.
4. You can't carry the gun on your person while out and about in public.
5.  You can only transport the gun to and from the gun club, and it must be in a lockable device that protects it from access should you have a car accident en route.

The criminals who use guns here in Canada follow none of these rules.  A law abiding citizen who wants to own a gun for self defense does not appear to have this right.  We are left with limited ways to defend ourselves.  This is my opinion on the subject....

Has anyone in this forum had a Near Death Experience? Do you know of a person who has had one and discussed their experience with you?
A relative of mine almost died during childbirth - she shared that she was outside of her body, above the operating table looking down as they were trying to resuscitate her.

A guest on the Thursday, July 12 Alex Jones show (Colonel Craig Roberts) gave a detailed description of his experience when he flatlined back in the late 1990s while dying of cancer.  He was flatlined long enough that they were going to disconnect him.  It was interesting hearing what he experienced.  From what I can remember, he felt he was in a cool room, in perfect health.  He was being communicated to, he believes by his guardian angel.  He mentioned a pit in front of him he wanted to avoid and to his right a good place.  But, the voice said to go back and fight.  It's in the 2nd hour of Thursday's show for anyone interested.

I only care for events where the athelete competes against time.  I don't care for judged events - too much biased.  My favorite event is the marathon.  I'm going to predict that China will win the medals count competition.

I just noticed in Noory's upcoming schedule on the C2C website that he will be at a show in Minneapolis in Oct... Punnett is listed as a speaker also...

I just listened to it... kind of weird, but the part that struck me the most is that it took him over 7 minutes to tell the story...  I kept saying...'get on with it'.

Personally, I like Wells. I don't understand the hate that some have for him here. True, he is no Art Bell or Knapp, but he is a much better interviewer than Snoory and I find him interesting to listen to.
I like him too..  I find he's covering topics I'm interested in these days....  he's offbeat and a change from Ian Punnett.  But, many people feel he's not a journalist, he let's guests ramble without challenging, his topics are 'right wing' conspiracy, he's a fan of Alex Jones (so his credibility sucks)....  those are the types of opinions many people have about him.  To each his own, I say.

I heard Jonathan Cahn on C2C March 4.  His book, 'The Harbinger' is captivating and stunning, IMO.

Anybody know around when he let that burp out?? I still have yet to listen to his last show... so I'm gonna say the jury is still out for me but judging from the commentary I don't think I'm going to be impressed.
I didn't hear it live... but I think it was within the first minute and a half of the first hour...  I downloaded the show.... I couldn't hear it on the download so I think they edited it out.  He made a comment something like 'sorry about the pop.  I got too ecstatic and directed the wind the wrong way'... it sounds like he apologized and these things are human... Personally, I'm willing to give him a pass for a burp, just like I give a pass to some of the guests who let the f word go recently.

Its that time again, the first of the new month.
That means we have to suffer an extra c2c show hosted by Noory, his first Sunday of the month tomorrow night.
He's working his 5 days Sun - Thurs this week instead of Mon - Fri.  Wells is listed as the Friday host.

Former Gov Jesse Ventura was scheduled for two hours tonight.
He was supposed to be the guest for the first 2 hours, but got pushed back to the second half when they couldn't reach him by phone.
Noory later tonight claimed they still couldn't contact him, so he was cancelled and his frequent fill-in guest Joshua P. Warren took over at the last minute.
Maybe Ventura got wised up on Noory and just  refused to answer his phone tonight? ;)
Sorry if this topic was covered.  I haven't listened to C2C during the week much lately (just not feeling it).  Anyways, on Tues. June 26, Jesse Ventura was on Alex Jones show.  A caller asked him why he wasn't on C2C.  He stated they told him 10 - midnight, but he waited until 11:15 pm, there still wasn't a call, so he went to bed because he couldn't stay awake anymore.  So, it appears to have been a time zone issue....

Knapp said something to the effect he is spoiled in his job and gave the example he was recently invited to a dinner... and he often says he can pretty much do as he wants in his day job.  Plus he covers local Vegas stories, which he wouldn't be able to do on a national show.  I get the impression Knapp is happy at KLAS and wouldn't take on C2C full time hosting duties if offered.

Tonight's show is advertised as being hosted by GN.  He is appearing in Toronto tomorrow.  Will there be 4 live hours tonight?

Anyone notice the last hour of Noory's Friday night show was an old replay of open lines?
Noory snuck out early on Friday yet again, with no announcement on the air he was doing so.
He thought he was fooling the listeners, since all his Friday open lines sound the same, so replaying one from a year or more ago is pretty much identical with the same old wierdo callers.
Noory must have wanted to be up early the next morning for another of his convention event appearances.
You are right Morgus... it was replay from 10/21/11...
He should get a guest host fill in if he's overbooked.  It should be a live broadcast unless there are technical difficulties preventing this.

I listened to the first hour of Ian's 6/10 show with the open lines.  He came across as kinder and gentler to the callers than he has in the past.  His responses to the lady with the heroine addicted son and the NYC man with the murdered friend seemed compassionate.  I give Ian thumbs up on this hour.

Gardening... I avoided it until buying my current house, which came with a beautiful garden.  Now that I'm giving it a go, I find it relaxing and enjoyable.

I just saw all of next week's C2C shows. They look absolutely unbearably boring..
One of this week's shows (the Fukushima show) will have my attention, but overall, I'm not too excited about the upcoming shows this week..  Maybe the first hour guests that they don't always advertise will be worthwhile.

Fecal America

Sun 06-10

Joining Ian Punnett, author Richard Kestler will discuss his new book Fecal America.  After seeing reports that most shopping carts, everyday office equipment such as phones and keyboards, and nearly everything else within reach often contain measureable quantities of human fecal matter, the author conducted his own investigation with shocking and often disgusting results.

In the first hour, graphic novel analyst Chester Williams will provide insight into the fantastic worlds of gay superheroes and their impact on pop culture.
I thought I heard Ian say on his last appearance that since he is on so infrequently, he was going to stake his claim to some topics so he would be the host to cover them....

According to this article, Coast may be moving to AM 910 KKSF.

Not sure if it is posted elsewhere on this forum, but C2C home page confirms this...

'C2C is very happy to welcome our new affiliate in San Francisco and the Bay Area, KKSF-910 AM, which will begin carrying the show live nightly etc.'

To me, Knapp sounded somber on Sunday ... saying that he's usually a glass half full person, but he was pessimistic.  He started the third hour saying he was receiving angry emails and told listeners to suspend it for one night. That was a good show with Jim Marrs (in my books).
