Beautiful!   Now Obama Care will crash and burn and the Dems and RINOs will take the hit.

Yep! More 3D chess moves.  ;)

Paul Ryan better watch his back, after the healthcare vote he may be on the receiving end of a Trumper tantrum.

Paulie would be up shit creek expect that Donny is already on Air Force One headed for weekend golf and he'll forget by Monday.

That the Republican fallback position was to vote to rename it RinoCare, and saddle Trump with it was cynical and disgusting.  Where are his advisors to tell him the bill was not what he campaigned on?

He stopped mentioning big pharma. So he listens to someone.

I try to be optimistic about Trump. Not because I think he's a nice guy but because he's an egotist. You'd think he'd want TrumpCare to be something he could be proud of.

Bad deal's. If we pay more for meds than Canadian's we're gettin a bad deal. Correcting that wouldn't be socialism, just smart business.

And I don't care if dismantling health insurance is socialism. We need to just bite the bullet and do it.

Nah, it was a horrible bill.  Obamacare lite.  Obamacare is crashing and burning.  Many states only have one insurance carrier now.  It is not sustainable.  This way the Republicans can't be blamed for the failed system.

It's true. I've never been for the bill.  If you read my posts on this thread going back, you'll know that's the truth.  The Republicans did themselves a favor today.

IMO, the only person that really looks bad in all this is Paul Ryan...and I think that may be intentional.  ;)

Lt.Uhura

While it's tempting to drop by BG and gloat about the impotence of the Trump administration, I can't miss calling out that POS Paul Ryan for his continued mission to throw the poor and elderly off the cliff.

As pointed out below, he's had this wet dream about defunding Medicaid for years--even before running for office. Does he actually think taking healthcare away from the weakest and most vulnerable will further his political career? His hubris and/or cluelessness prevents him from seeing that his cruel actions will largely affect those living in poor Red states. Does he not recognize that many of these "conservative" GOP constituents happen to be poor, working-class, and elderly?

The mid-term elections can't come soon enough for me.

The energy in his voice rising, Ryan got to the heart of the plan. “This is so much bigger by orders of magnitude than welfare reform, because ― let me just describe exactly what this bill does for conservatives. This is why I’m so excited about it, and this is why I think people need to see the forest through the trees. We are de-federalizing an entitlement, block-granting it back to the states, and capping its growth rate. That’s never been done before,” he said.

Damn, KKKid. Don't get your panties in a twist. I'm not here 24/7 like some people. I judge people as individuals based on their actions. You are the one that came out of the closet. Be Out Be Proud! Just be careful playing with fire

I judge people as individuals too but I don't ignore facts. You still haven't answered the question.

Republicans have the Presidency, Senate and House (by a decent margin) and still couldn't get anything passed. What will they say next time "Hey elect Republicans so was can get rid of Obamacare...... We are super serious non-crossing fingers this time"

There's a line I just heard today, "Any jackass can knock down a barn, takes a good man/carpenter to build one"

I can't argue with that point.  Republicans had 7 years to craft a better bill and they sat on their laurels and came up with this hack job in the last few months. That said, this will be revisited later on and hopefully Congressional Republicans will be better prepared.

What this should tell everyone is that there really is no difference between Democrats and Republicans and hasn't been for quite some time now. They're both totally corrupt sellouts who don't give a shit about you. The only thing different in DC is Trump. Deal with it, bitches.  8)

I don't know why you think I take you seriously anymore but I have a few minutes to kill. No. I do not think blacks are better basketball players than whites. Do you think whites are better at golf and tennis than blacks?

For decades athletics has been a way to improve one's socio-economic standing. Think all the Irish and Italian boxers from days past

How do you account for the fact that only 18.3% of NBA players are white?  Does that not suggest to you that blacks are superior in the skills required to make it in the NBA?

It's blatant discrimination against whites!  The NBA needs an affirmative action plan to enable inclusive pro B-ball.

Exactly. For 8 years their job 1 was obstruction. For some reason voters hated the do-nothing Congress when that was Republicans stopping everything Obama tried to accomplish from job stimulus to keeping Wall Street and banks honest and items they were for before they were against.

Now they have to govern instead of just saying no. May be a tough transition for them

McConnell: "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president."

The Victory of ‘No’
The GOP’s unprecedented anti-Obama obstructionism was a remarkable success. And then it handed the party to Donald Trump.

That and the Generals never did that well against the Globetrotters.  ;)

Yeah I guess there is time to come back, but the scary thing for them is the House was suppose to be the simple one to get through (they can have 20 R votes switch ans still win), we all expected the Senate to be a battle with the balance of 3. For it to get shut down even before coming out of the barn was really bad.

This whole thing made Republicans look bad, like you said 7 years of wasting everybody time with meaningless "repeal" bills that they knew would get Veto the second it reaches Obama, now you don't have that excuse anymore and folded worse than a cheap suit.

Another saying this reminds me "Dog chases car, dog catches car, dog has no idea what to do with the car now that he caught it."

High IQ test scores showing a large measure of success for a society, culture, race, or individual is flawed. Even highly educated professors who possess these vaunted high IQ test scores have a hard time quantifying exactly what intelligence is, much less how to test for it in a meaningful way. High, average, or low IQ test scores don't always correlate into real world success or failure of an individual; much less society as a whole. At best IQ testing can give a limited insight into an individuals potential, but a high IQ alone doesn't guarantee an individuals success in the world; much less the success of a society, culture, or race as a whole. Causation and correlation hinge upon a multitude of factors, some of which may not be obvious from a cursory glance.

Guns Germs And Steel was a good book by Jared Diamond, which was adapted into 3 part documentary. His quest seeks out possible explanations into how winners of the vagina lottery born in the West, rose to dominate the world and decree themselves the apex of civilization; as other cultures languish. He offers a compelling even handed in-depth explanation, that holds up well against the other competing theories on the subject.
