He's fine.  Dehydration apparently.  He's already been released from the hospital and may continue his tour.

If hadn't noticed whenever an artist collapses on stage, whether it's from an OD or whatever, they always say it was dehydration, exhaustion or the flu. It could be that but I wouldn't bet on it.  ;)

Yeah, I know.  It's not like it is 120 degrees down there on the stage.  Usually a performer will have a bottle of water on hand in case he needs to wet the whistle.

I had no idea he's 68. Jeez. And I also learned he's collapsed on stage like 4 times in the last decade.

Better hope Bobo isn't planning this.

Not a celebrity death but about a dead celebrity.  Just came across this story that backs up the rumors.  Disgusting.

Boy, you got my number! It sure would've been cool to meet the man. I heard he was a beat cop before getting into TV. They made good poets but I'm not too sure about cops though.  ???  8)

Every couple weeks there is a Sinead O'Connor story on the news out here on how the police are looking for her because she's not well.

Pat Summitt has passed away at the age of 64.

Truly, one of the greatest coaches to walk this earth.

What a great person she was. May God bless her soul.

I remember ol' Buddy from my years in the late 80's and early 90's in Philly.  Really weird having this very Southern man as head coach of the Eagles.  RIP Buddy.

Nobel Peace Price winner and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel  is dead at 87.

Noel Neill, the first onscreen Lois Lane, dies at 95
Noel Neill, famous for starring as Lois Lane in movie serials and TV's Adventures of Superman, died Sunday at her home in Tucson. She was 95.

Her friend and manager Larry Thomas Ward told The Hollywood Reporter she died after a long illness. Born Nov. 20, 1920, in Minneapolis, her father was an editor for the Minneapolis Star Tribune, and he wanted his daughter to become a reporter, even securing a job for her at Women's Wear Daily. Instead, Neill became a performer, and after playing the banjo in a trio, landed in Southern California. While singing in a restaurant at the Del Mar race track, Neill was spotted by Bing Crosby, who helped her land a contract with Paramount Pictures.

Neill first played Lois Lane in a 15-chapter serial for Columbia Pictures that played in theaters in 1948, and picked up the role again in 1950 for another serial, Atom Man vs. Superman. In 1953, she took over for Phyllis Coates, who played Lois Lane in the first season of the Adventures of Superman, starring in 78 episodes until the show ended in 1958. After that, she left show business, telling The New York Times in 2006 she "figured I'd worked enough." She married and moved to the beach, but did briefly appear as Lois Lane's mother in 1978's Superman and as Gertrude Vanderworth in the opening scene of 2006's Superman Returns. "She did whatever she wanted to do," Ward told The Hollywood Reporter. "That was the beauty of her skill. Ultimately, only she truly knew what was best for her, and that came out time and again. She was very smarty, quite astute about the acting business."

Sad news.  She did nostalgia shows into her nineties, read many comments about how pleasant and accommodating she was to fans.

That's good to hear.  I was surprised to learn last year that she was a pin-up girl during WWII, and was second in popularity to Betty Grable.  She's not unattractive in Superman, but her wardrobe made her look a little dowdy, and the gloves (which were fashionable at the time) and goofy hats she had to wear didn't help any.  Here she is in more casual attire.

Yeah, she had great gams, but I didn't know she was that popular as a WWII pin-up.  I remember reading somewhere there were a few "Superman" episodes written for her cheesecake appeal.  One was the time travel episode where she wore a skimpy (relatively) animal hide/cave girl number.  Seems like there was also an episode where Lois went undercover as a nightclub cigarette girl that showed a lot of leg.

Kirk Alyn recalled that, "When Noel Neill and I worked together on the Superman serials, she must have had an awful lot of faith in me. I carried this girl so many times through fire, through smoke, through all kinds of danger - and she'd dangle under one arm while I did these things. But she didn't mind, she didn't wince, she didn't even say a word. She just believed that I was Superman - and so I was."
