Exactly. Deal with real problems that we could possibly agree on and prevent. Over-fishing, heavy metals, nuclear storage, poaching and the trade in endangered animals, recycling, human migration/immigration, and so on. There are existing ones of some but could be better. And use capitalism, marketing, and trade to make money, help the environment, and be good for share-holders. Instead of Hollywood types and globalist bureaucrats and millionaires telling everyone what to do, or trying to make another financial bubble to exploit, let the market, countries, and people fix the real problems.

Not these "non-binding" agreements over ridiculous things like CO2 and "warming" that exist mainly so that certain bureaucrats and Hollywood celebs can get on their private jets to enjoy meetings and fine dining.

Can you show a model that demonstrates shareholders being altruistic to the environment at the expense of them losing dividends to the companies that spoil it?  Exxon Mobil are actually investing in generating energy using algae. But what is the incentive now? Trump doesn't believe in science, its all bullshit to him; principally because he isn't that bright and it doesn't come with pictures of him to retain his interest.

The punchline of course is that the USA can't get out of it until january........

I know leftists like to believe that companies get together and make business decisions on "how best can we pollute today?" "What is the best option so that we can contaminate this water supply?" "Is there some way we can make this process more dirty and risky?" But that is silly thinking. XOM, or anyone, wants a Valdez? That hurts (though not so much with clever financing, advertising, and lawyers) shareholder value. If anything you leftists should WANT the majors involved more in operations around the world. They have the technology and economies of scale to withstand fluctuations in market prices, invest more in technology and innovation, and to extract more cleanly/safer than small operators or wildcatters. The real risks are from smaller companies on tight-budgets or countries without the technical skill and equipment. Or countries, like China, who (until recently) don't care about the environment or their people or want to buy things like rhino horn and bear paws so they can get it up.

The XOM example is one example. BASF is also pretty good with most of their plants using "waste" products of one process into useful products etc. BP put fake windmills on their downstream side a decade or so, which was hilarious, and tried to market themselves as "beyond petroleum." There are obvious companies who made money off pollution (I recall some European companies dumping stuff in Africa recently. Legal, apparently, but still unsavory.) Some of the stuff, like algae, could be a boondoggle or maybe there was government incentives/tax-breaks. Or maybe it could pay-off and be the energy of the future. Either way it can, and has, been used in marketing campaigns for the kids all concerned about "warming." Of course, algae "eats" CO2 so Paris Agreement will starve it! But solar, nuclear, or who knows what else if successful will be done if it makes people money and can be done cheaper than the alternative. Some Hollywood "star" ranting about "warming" and pulling out of a "non-binding" agreement is not the solution but innovation, investment, and the market.

You'd better got on the phone and dial them in for perjury. Its your patriotic duty. Trump is even more patriotic because he told a foreign president where two subs were parked, and the Russians classified info from an informant in deep cover, but not Israeli!!!

Exactly. I'm glad that Leftists are finally waking up that more local control is a better option than DC, or worse, international bodies and bureaucrats demanding top-down "solutions" and rules and regulations. If some city, state, or person wants to abide by the non-binding Paris Agreement or make decisions and rules for themselves fine. If others don't than live and let live. Usually, especially when one lives there, people will take care of their own property better than others property or 'common property,' for example. And just because some Hollywood guy, after deplaning from his private jet, says you need to limit your 'carbon footprint' doesn't make it so.

No Dear; you EXACTLY missed the point. The Mayor said; Mr. Trump, you are full of shit, you DO NOT represent the voters of Pittsburgh. In fact, in a follow-up tweet the Mayor went further by stating point blank that 80% of Pittsburgh's voters voted for Hillary Clinton -- THAT's just how full of SHIT, Trump, and you Albrecht, are -- the Mayor is saying, EXPLICITLY.

Other than providing some aid to refugees and some of the poor of the world, can someone remind me of what the U.N. has done to improve relations between the nations of the world or to stop conflicts or for that matter to improve the human condition in any significant way.  It does nothing that couldn't be accomplished less expensively and more effectively by other means.  The only time that I can recall the UN taking effective action to stop aggression was when the U.N. Security Council voted to create a multinational force to counter North Korea's invasion of  South Korea and that was only because the Soviet Ambassador to the UN was absent.  It is a bloated, useless bureaucracy that is riddled with corruption.  The U.S should withdraw from the U.N. and give it 2 years to find a new home.  Maybe the U.K. would like to host the U.N.

Excellent observation, albrecht and I agree 110%.  Thank you, Donald, for pulling us out of this scam.  Next week in North Georgia will provide more evidence of what a scam it is.  We will have lows in the low to mid 50's next week in June!!!  Unheard of in the South during this time of year.  This was just another socialist/communist grab at power.

The oval office incident? The Russians posted that one, and various staffers went apeshit and reported it to the NSA. Trump later (in Israel) tried to sooth things by saying (and I don't know what the Israelis thought, but I wasn't entirely convinced) that he never mentioned the word or country of Israel to the Russians. So that's alright then.

The sub thing? The Philippine goverment posted the transcript of the phone call that Trump had with their president on the net. Its there if you want to look.

Trump, who spoke by phone with Duterte on April 29, addressed the possibility of a strike on North Korea using the submarines. A transcript of the conversation was published by The Intercept.

"We have a lot of firepower over there," Trump said in the transcript, an official document of the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs.

"We have two submarines - the best in the world - we have two nuclear submarines - not that we want to use them at all," Trump continues. "I've never seen anything like they are but we don't have to use this but he could be crazy so we will see what happens."

I dunno, as a former submariner, how would you feel about being in one of the most formerly secure places in the navy? But your president tells a despot who puts it on the net? Scary eh?

Has anyone looked into the billions of dollars in cash Obama had flown to Iran?

Since that money was not appropriated by Congress, the only other explanation is that it was stolen by Obama and sent to a terrorist nation.  He is therefore the top individual funder of terrorism in history.  He ought to be sent to Gitmo and tried, with his assets seized and applied to the theft.

I know Catsmile is with me on this one, being a stickler for the Rule of Law and all.

BFD.  This is more of the same shit you've been swallowing for months.  See my post below. The fact that there are submarines in the vicinity of NK is not only unclassified, it's common knowledge.  The article reads like he passed on the subs exact position in terms of lat. and long which is something only those onboard  know.  Not even the operational commander knows exactly where they are as per doctrine.  Oh, and guess what. There have probably been subs in the vicinity at all times for years.  That's what submariners get paid to do. But don't tell  anybody.

The USS MICHIGAN just pulled into port in South Korea.  The MICHIGAN is one of four converted Trident boomers that now carry 150+ cruise missiles that I mentioned in an earlier post.  It can also carry a SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team (SDVT).  This used to be called gunboat diplomacy.

Next Trump Announcement (That I would Hope for...)

"Today, I have issued a 30 Day eviction notice to all tenants of the UN Plaza. You never paid your fair share anyway. So, go and be a deadbeat somewhere else, but not, here in the United States of America."

With my family's expertise, the UN Plaza will be renovated into a wonderful Hotel!! It will be fantastic !!!!   ;D  ;D  ;D

Might I recommend moving the UN to North Korea?

Like I said, the Left has no problem with Kathy Griffin, other than she made them look bad in the eyes of real Americans.

The idea is to transfer jobs and manufacturing from countries that have environmental standards, regulations, and employee protections to countries that don't.  In the name of the environment.

Ok, so it's counterproductive and stupid, but it does further drag down the US and give more power and control to the globalists.
