She is making a big mistake by accepting gifts from strangers. I can't understand her risk/reward logic unless she is so low on cash that she has no choice.

Back then she had a playful, spontaneous, irreverent spirit about her.  That was lost (or abandoned) when she "went pro" and started trying way too hard to be a big success, as was ordained by her mentor.  It's weird now to hear her be so sentimental and ingratiating with her listeners - the old gabcast crew would have laughed her off the show for that b.s. lol.

If I remember right, that playfulness was more than half coquetry.  I think Art was counting too much on it to carry the show.  Fine on the Gabcast, but expanding it to four hours of creepers on a lone woman in a studio was sadistic.

Well, IMO,  if it's real, we should probably all be calling the suicide hotline on her behalf.  If it's an act, it's pathetic enough to make me laugh.

I don't want to get to technical here, but 1) it's way past the window for reporting a potential suicide, 2) her current chirpy "happy on the surface while suffering inside" mode has no indication of threat in it and she is not "breaking down" as regularly as she was, and 3) she has not made any threats or indications of any kind that she might consider harming herself other than saying she doesn't believe in magic any more, and that she doesn't know how she'll go on (early on). Those would be considered usual grief statements. Her behavior is what is abnormal and seriously over-reactive, whether real or manipulated, but nowhere in her behavior or on-air statements has she intimated any self-harm. So technically, no legitimate grounds to report potential suicide.

Thanks it is my first death where I knew the person really well. We had lost touch but she introduced me to one of my best friends. She was 45. Died from complications with a bone diseaase and also what I suspect were issues from years of drinking and pills. So it’s been very emotional and weird and I still can’t believe she is gone. I live in Michigan and I am currently in Dayton until tonight when I head home.

Sincere condolences to you... it's tough to deal with anytime, but especially the first close one.

Boy, are they dolts...  His final wife (the current "Dr." Melissa Scott) is a verified, admitted ex-porn actress who used to "adultly entertain" the pastor with other naked ladies at his ranch.  Yet they let her tell them otherwise and she self-taught herself 20 languages!
